Not a toy! Tell that to the people that are no longer on this Earth do to toys that just like that call in their position and or have weapons on it that end their day! Toy is relative to how it is used not size, a bullet is even smaller is it a toy? Exactly!!
What do you suppose what the real cause was? Ripped loose flap perhaps or what else? Loss of signal? Something or several things rattling lose while flying or do you think something was not screwed tightly and the plane was not checked properly for any lose parts to make sure the plane was safe to take up. $20 000? That's a lot of money.
@SouthernPrinceKenny you can buy them in florida from the BVM jets factory. But make sure you got your wallet with ya cause they can cost 5000+ bucks !!!
Redfalcon779 - millions of dollars are wasted on rc jets. Just like millions are wasted on cars.. Busses.. Football players.. -.- same rule applies for everything mate.
@Chenster24 Hahah, if you call the pilot rolling his plane upside down them pulling back on the stick the same thing as "losing lift", I guess you're right. But really, it was just bad piloting.
@toddsher2112 Guess that's what Chenster24 gets for thinking that he is thinking.. Only things that were lost here were orientation followed immediately by a plane.
@Chenster24 Ummm....you obviously weren't watching too closely. This was most certainly NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT aerodynamic stall. IT is however called loss of orientation of flight. Seen it happen many times. Plane upside down, pilot pull back on stick, plane fall down go...BOOM!!!
Okies, so it's $6,000 worth of fast fireball. But nobody's hurt. It cost me about that much to buy & redesign & rebuild an Ultralight Motorglider. After 6 hours airtime this numbskull flew it inverted, at 3 feet altitude, going backwards, over the Fencepost that I didn't quite clear...; while attempting a Downwind Take-Off, in a 200 yard paddock! 19 years later & I'm still limping, & use a stick to walk distances. A crashed model beats being in the impact.
That's what he gets for being a moron and doing barrel rolls with a jet... I only do barrel rolls with props bc I'm not a moron. With a jet u have no time for correction. Plus only a dumbass would do rolls soo close to the ground with sumthin goin 200+ mph
its ironic that you see a fire extinguisher in the back round and its funny what the wife said when she say it happen the plane just blew up what happened uh i dont know maybe the plane blew up
@pmgodfrey Flying on 50 Mhz ham band keeps you from flying 20 feet from the ground, rolling your plane upside down, then pulling up? Wow, that's some crazy frequency voodoo!
Best overall solution is to not be stupid - maybe you could try that next time you get the urge to post a comment so completely unrelated and random.
2.4 GHz has poor penetration characteristics and is more susceptible to interference due to the high number of portable and commercial devices that operate on the same frequencies (wireless devices, cordless phones, high powered microwave repeater stations).
Best overall solution is to understand and study how the electromagnetic spectrum works - maybe you could try that next time you get the urge to correct someone with a HAM license and two electrical engineering degrees. :)
@pmgodfrey that is wrong he lost orientation.. only pilots who dont fly well blame other things. now 2.4 GHz is the best remots out and have never had a problem. so that means your a crap pilot
I've been flying actively since the early 80's. I've crashed many times, but overall - flying for 30 years tends to make you a more experienced pilot.
2.4GHz is not for everyone, nor is it "the best". The transmitter's power output is significantly lower on the 2.4GHz spectrum than it is with 27, 35, 50, 53 and 72 MHz bands. Most people who fly on 50 and 53 MHz bands choose to because (1) they're HAM licensed and (2) don't risk ever getting shot down from interference.
@pmgodfrey that is wrong he lost orientation.. only pilots who dont fly well blame other things. now 2.4 GHz is the best remots out and have never had a problem. so that means your a crap pilot
@pmgodfrey that is wrong he lost orientation.. only pilots who dont fly well blame other things. now 2.4 GHz is the best remots out and have never had a problem. so that means your a crap pilot
In this case, the frequency differences were not the cause of the crash. In this case, this is what happens when you're idiot enough to try and fly your plane during dusk or sundown when you can't see your plane anymore because
you can't make out if it's upside down and comming or going.
Muscle car would definitely be a better investment. Pretty much every RC airplane depreciates 100% of its value over a very short period... sometimes in as little as one minute.... sometimes more, sometimes less.
And it's true... I know very few women who get turned on by a guy flying an RC airplane. They tolerate it, at best.
Then again, how many muscle cars can go 200+mph and sound that totally wicked!
Answer = NONE.
Jets turn on the pilot, not the pilot's lady. It's a visceral rush.
@toddsher2112 OK, I get it and from your point of view it' mirrors mine; agreed. I will have to stop you on the 200+mph muscle car though. I have built 4 muscle cars; 2 B-body Mopars, 1GM full size and 1 Ford; that have competed in the unlimited class in the Silver State Rally. One of the Mopars and the GM went to Bonneville Speed weeks and; though not setting any records; eclipsed the 200 mph mark both out and back. Nah nah na nah na, j.k. !
SWEET. I've never seen a muscle car going that fast, that sounds awesome.
I stand corrected!
But as long as we're on the topic, and since we're both shooting into the wind, do a search here on YouTube for "Very, very, very fast Turbine powered RC Jet"
I see a lot of comments regarding the price of these. If you have been flying for less than 10 years or so and toying with foam electric jets I can understand. If you been in the hobby for 20 or more years and have built and flown kits such as Byron the thought of a real turbine was only a dream back then due to technology. So I can assure you the thought of the money and crying over a crash will not keep one from buying one of these regardless if it can crash or not. Just part of the hobby
Just damn! What happened? It looked like the jet quickly pitched up then rolled inverted and nosed over all in about a second. Did he get disoriented? I can see that easily happening as quickly as these things fly. And these things are flying right next to spectators. Good God. Is Hollywood now all computer graphics or do they still do model filming in the real world? J/K
not to mention but been there done that, that's what happened when you getting cocky and then when you think about its not even worth..., so sorry to see something like this happen....
@mosfet51 Fly jet's because their safer than standing in front of a rotating propeller when you start it! At least we have ghz radio's now so people can't try to hurt you by turning on a radio on your channel when your starting the plane and even better it stops jealous people from crashing your plane! Anyone in R/C nows how many scum bags out their that do those very things at least it's very hard for them to do that now with 2.4 ghz!!
I'm surprised there aren't stupid rednecks leaving comments on thats what you get for playing with toy's! Rednecks have no clue but to them if they can't afford something or aren't smart enough to understand or use it they will say it's for children lmao! Back to the video it just looks like he got disoriented and tried to pull up but the plane was inverted and he turned it into a lawn dart!
Thats what people do with money is go have fun weather it was a $20 K boat or dune buggy, or in this case a RC jet plane thats just what people do.....As for the envious comments get a life.....I'm not into crashing as much as the next guy, but its really cool to see a jet turbine crash and look like a scale crash...He took it quite well. It was obvious the $20K sank into his wifes head a lot sooner than his. Women they'er such score keepers....lol...Thats the funny part.
Is this in Utah?

You got over 600000 hits on Youtube ! that was worth crashing !!

Wasn't 20K guys, read the description. Either way I'll stick to my $50 AXN Floaters for now.
