You are missing an 's' from the title. 'Polyphonischer' it is. And I think it would also be nice to have the year of composition in the title since I think this may be a lesser known piece by Schnittke. I feel that this music and these paintings express the same joyful melancholic view of our human condition and complete each other. Awareness of the joy of life but never forgetting that we will die and that what gives meaning to our lives is always threatened by illusion, misery, insignificance.

WHAT A VIDEO!!! Schnittke is one of my favorite composers of the 20th century and PAUL DELVAUX is one of my favorite painters. myriads of thanks.
