My point being i see people trying to race sentra's tc's corrola's etc. These car's are made to be economy gas sipping car's. I know they can be modded to be quicker but why. I have a 2010 tc. 1. tC's are a fuck-ton more common that eclipses. I see an average of 10 a day just walking to the gym and back. Driven by ordinary people who don't give a fuck about cars. DSMs are getting rarer every day. I've seen 2 in my state, total.
2) Yeah, I'm sure. At the price you paid for your car and the mods you put in it, I guarantee you could have an AWD eclipse that is twice as fast. Or any other car, really.

actually I have a SC on my GTO and i can tell u a turbo is much easier becuz th SC is always running boost while the turbo only boosts over around 2500 rpms

The TWO tC's in Formula D this year ARE RWD. And you don't loose front wheel grip. Front wheel grip is just as important as rear wheel grip in Drifting. If the front tires suck balls, then it will just understeer, or plow forward instead of turning like you want it to.

So, converting the tC to the RWD drivetrain no longer makes it a tC huh? Does that mean the Skylines in FD and D1 that are drift cars that are only RWD are no longer Skylines? Or how about the STI that Kumakubo drives in D1. It's converted from AWD to RWD does that make it not an STI anymore? I see your up to the same dumb comments yet again.
Those are both AWD cars. It is easily possible to change an AWD car to a RWD using a mostly stock drivetrain. A RWD tC does not even vaguely resemble a FWD tC, so much would have to be changed. That's why you don't see any RWD tCs on the street. I've seen a few RWD dsms though.
The tC is BUILT on an AWD chassis. It meats FD rules and regulations. THAT is why you don't see a Civic, Teggy, Eclipse or other FWD vehicles in FD. Because they are FWD chassis only. The tC's in FD will have Ken Gushi powering one, and Tanner Foust will be rocking their tC for FD. There is also Chris Rado who is building an AWD tC for Time Attack, as well as running his FWD championship Time Attack tC. You don't see RWD tC's on the street cause it's still NEW dude...lol.

I have a 98 eclipse Rs. only downfall I heard in the video is the eclipse was a auto. my eclipse 5 speed you can be kicking gears all day. and its smoother then hell at 120mph.
The saddest part about the video is, not that the Eclipse was the slow ass non-turbo 420a variant (17 second or slower 1/4 stock), not that the slow ass torque-lacking 420a got the jump on him, but the 420a actually handed him his ass. By the time that pos tC caught him, the 420a non-turbo let off. If you had raced a GSX, it would have been pure murder.

Suspension-I bought the TRD upgrade so it kicks ass
Engine-the 2.4 has good pickup for such a lil car. Add the TRD SC and now its really picksup
Weight- 2900 is very lite Civic SI is exact same and so is the Cobalt SS
Looks- I like it. AND the buying point between it and the Pontiac Solstace was two things....1) Toyotas last forever. 2) You can get all the TRD upgrades UNDER WARRENTY. So for six years is any of my mods break. They put new ones on.

That's funny, I just got out of the shop today with my eclipse (stroker kit install), and there was a scion there. When I asked what was wrong with it, they sighed, and said they didn't know what the owner did, but there were HOLES in the BLOCK and the cams were all fucked up. He had a small 16g in there. The TWO tC's in Formula D this year ARE RWD. And you don't loose front wheel grip. Front wheel grip is just as important as rear wheel grip in Drifting. If the front tires suck balls, then it will just understeer, or plow forward instead of turning like you want it to.

Those are both AWD cars. It is easily possible to change an AWD car to a RWD using a mostly stock drivetrain. A RWD tC does not even vaguely resemble a FWD tC, so much would have to be changed. That's why you don't see any RWD tCs on the street. I've seen a few RWD dsms though.

The tC is BUILT on an AWD chassis. It meats FD rules and regulations. THAT is why you don't see a Civic, Teggy, Eclipse or other FWD vehicles in FD. Because they are FWD chassis only. The tC's in FD will have Ken Gushi powering one, and Tanner Foust will be rocking their tC for FD. There is also Chris Rado who is building an AWD tC for Time Attack, as well as running his FWD championship Time Attack tC. You don't see RWD tC's on the street cause it's still NEW dude...lol.

Scions are so slow, I can never even get them to race me. Stock-for-stock, I am faster, but when they hear my BOV, they turn chickenshit. I've run up to scions with shitty R8 - looking bodykits. I've run up to ones with flame decals, wings, and dual exhausts. None will even try. Why? Because they are fucking hard to get fast. The saddest part about the video is, not that the Eclipse was the slow ass non-turbo 420a variant (17 second or slower 1/4 stock), not that the slow ass torque-lacking 420a got the jump on him, but the 420a actually handed him his ass.
