there's usually nothing that makes me more violent than a french speaking english, (mostly because I can speak both without a heavy accent) but I just realised with this interview that it's all about the attitude. Yelle is adorable but it's when I hear an arrogant french journalist speaking like they are making an effort to be misunderstood that I get crazy angry : P

Please don't act like a ginormous twat, you can speak both languages without a heavy accent because you're Canadian (you little hypocrite ^^). Don't even try to insinuate that French and Canadians speak french the same way (or even english). We both speak the same language (obviously), but extremely differently.

I'm aware that for a lots of Quebecers our accents (for the most) sounds very snobby-poshy-ish, but hey that is certainly not our fault if you perceive it that way.

I have French friends who have the most beautiful accent when they speak english, so to me, the "wer ar ze bat-room" sounds forced

also, I am from Quebec but I love hearing French people speaking french. You have much more vocabulary than us and to me it does not sound snobby, it sounds eloquent and intelligible!
