That is a neat collection. I also enjoy collecting the U.S. notes/certificates. I also enjoy collecting coins. I do mostly United States notes & coins, though some foreign stuff is pretty cool, but never as cool as our stuff in this fine country. :-)
neat collection! i myself started a currency collection (beginner) i myself have a hard time finding the 1999 series of the 20 bill, but im proud to own a 1957 $1 certificate and a 1953 red seal 2 :)!! i have my eyes on a 1899 1$ silver certificate right now and watchin your videos im even more inspired to collect our history!
i have all these i collect so much. i started the hobby, lol just because the muney is awsome and kool to collect. im 14 also. its just cool. ill put vids of my foreign currency soon.
Very nice collection! I started one my self about a year ago. I have collected some of what you have in this video. Some more some less. I have coins too. Where did you get the cases for your notes?
I don't have any confederates. Thanks for saying that I should make more videos. I appreciate that. One of these days, if I get some more interesting stuff, maybe I will shoot some more vids. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I mostly collect coin, but i'm also colecting bills no blue seals or any bills worth more that $35 dollars, but i still got 60 more years in me to collect as much as I can.
Sometimes when I go to the bank, I just ask them if they have anything old and interesting that day. Occasionally, I luck out. There are other times when I go to a coin shop in Salem Massachusetts that I like. They usually have some interesting currency there. Thanks for watching and commenting. : )
Do you know why Alexander Hamilton faces to the left on the $10 bill instead of right like the portraits of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Jackson, Grant, Franklin, McKinley, and Cleveland?
That's an excellent question. I actually don't know the answer to that. If there is indeed a logical answer to that question, I'd be quite interested to know what it is. Thanks for an interesting inquiry. I wish I had a proper answer to such a good question. -Mike
are you possibly considering selling or trading the 1914 note? I am not really a currency collector, however I am a fanatic when it comes to Andrew Jackson. Since I was born and raised in South Carolina, I do admire him as he was the only President from South Carolina. The state hasn't forgot him either, as one of the biggest military bases in the country is named after him * Fort Jackson *
Thanks for the offer. However, I have no interest in selling any of my large size notes. They are hard to find in shops. I never seem to wind up buying any online. My large size are my favorite. I'm sure you'll find plenty of the same 1914 notes with Andrew Jackson on them on eBay. Thanks again for the offer. -Mike :)
Very nice collection. I just started getting into bank note collecting myself and find it very fascinating to uncover many historic changes our currency has gone through.
Thanks! I enjoy collecting currency very much. I find currency to be beautiful artwork. It's not that I have anything extremely expensive at the moment, but I enjoy having the few notes I currently have. Thanks for viewing and commenting. : )
Okay. So what you're saying is that you watched this video to see what money looks like. In the past, you've only seen food stamps, welfare ID cards, and government subsidy applications. I'm sure that one day, you dream about actually having a savings account, and being able to afford to collect something that costs money. I think you should go apologize to your English teacher for never having attended her class. Maybe if you're really nice, she'll teach you how to write a coherent sentence. :)
Thanks for the encouragement. I don't expect to have anything more anytime soon, but perhaps someday I will. If so, I may just make another vid. I'm glad you enjoyed this one so much. Thanks again. -Mike :)
The 1928 series $1 silver certificate notes are indeed referred to as "Funnybacks" Mike. In addition, you do indeed prize your 1896 $1 Educational Note. I admire the $5 Educational Note much. But it's nice to have an Educational Note and your specimen seems to be "very good" from what I can decipher. Your $10 1914 horse blanket Federal Reserve Note seems to be in a lesser grade than your Educational Note. Curiosity strikes me at this time - does your Educational Note have any pin holes?
good stuff
isn't it amazing how all this paper inevitably ends up being worthless.
