  • good stuff

isn't it amazing how all this paper inevitably ends up being worthless.

  • That is a neat collection. I also enjoy collecting the U.S. notes/certificates. I also enjoy collecting coins. I do mostly United States notes & coins, though some foreign stuff is pretty cool, but never as cool as our stuff in this fine country. :-)

  • Does anyone know how much a 1953 a series red seal 2 dollar bill is worth , meant condition

  • Keep up the good video work looking good. When you have time come visit my channel!

  • @mabiniss2 There is no such thing as a crappy currency collection.

  • Nice collection of history you have there. Hope your childern share your same passion and keep them and not sell them.

  • i have a 1860 5$ bill but my dad got a 1860 5$ bill (mine now) and a 1859 10$ bill but the funny thing is he got them for 5$ no flippin lie!

  • I have an old 10 and an old 100. I also have two 1 dollar coins from the 70's and a half dollar.

  • Very nice collection! I started one my self about a year ago. I have collected some of what you have in this video. Some more some less. I have coins too. Where did you get the cases for your notes?

  • The currency holders that I use are easily found on eBay. You'll find tons of them there. Thanks for watching.

  • I just got the red seal 100 on ebay and the 1899 black eagle. Cool I think. Im going to make a video soon.

  • That's cool. I would be interested to see your new purchases.

  • do you have any confederate money?i have an 1862 100 dollar bill and an 1862 1 dollar bill nice collection you should make more videos

  • I don't have any confederates. Thanks for saying that I should make more videos. I appreciate that. One of these days, if I get some more interesting stuff, maybe I will shoot some more vids. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • I mostly collect coin, but i'm also colecting bills no blue seals or any bills worth more that $35 dollars, but i still got 60 more years in me to collect as much as I can.

  • Great collection, i myself have one, and i have an 1899 $1 silver certificate, like your 1896 $1, valued at $500-$800! Nice job.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the vid. Thanks for watching and commenting. : )

  • wow such a nice collection,my dad has saved old paper and coin collections and I think they are facinating, great work Mike.

  • Thanks for the compliments. I appreciate that. -Mike :)

  • hey mike, do you go to banks and specifically ask for some of the coins and bills you have? or do you buy them?

  • Sometimes when I go to the bank, I just ask them if they have anything old and interesting that day. Occasionally, I luck out. There are other times when I go to a coin shop in Salem Massachusetts that I like. They usually have some interesting currency there. Thanks for watching and commenting. : )

  • Mike I have a question.

Do you know why Alexander Hamilton faces to the left on the $10 bill instead of right like the portraits of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Jackson, Grant, Franklin, McKinley, and Cleveland?

  • That's an excellent question. I actually don't know the answer to that. If there is indeed a logical answer to that question, I'd be quite interested to know what it is. Thanks for an interesting inquiry. I wish I had a proper answer to such a good question. -Mike

  • dude how much does the 100 cost

  • I'm pretty sure that I just got that one at the bank for face value. How's that for a lucky break? :)

  • Nice collection Mike! I'm subscribing!

  • thats cool, where do you get those? all i have are a few silver certificates.

check them out on my chanel

  • are you possibly considering selling or trading the 1914 note? I am not really a currency collector, however I am a fanatic when it comes to Andrew Jackson. Since I was born and raised in South Carolina, I do admire him as he was the only President from South Carolina. The state hasn't forgot him either, as one of the biggest military bases in the country is named after him * Fort Jackson *

  • Thanks for the offer. However, I have no interest in selling any of my large size notes. They are hard to find in shops. I never seem to wind up buying any online. My large size are my favorite. I'm sure you'll find plenty of the same 1914 notes with Andrew Jackson on them on eBay. Thanks again for the offer. -Mike :)

  • Very nice collection. I just started getting into bank note collecting myself and find it very fascinating to uncover many historic changes our currency has gone through.

  • Thanks! I enjoy collecting currency very much. I find currency to be beautiful artwork. It's not that I have anything extremely expensive at the moment, but I enjoy having the few notes I currently have. Thanks for viewing and commenting. : )

  • Okay. So what you're saying is that you watched this video to see what money looks like. In the past, you've only seen food stamps, welfare ID cards, and government subsidy applications. I'm sure that one day, you dream about actually having a savings account, and being able to afford to collect something that costs money. I think you should go apologize to your English teacher for never having attended her class. Maybe if you're really nice, she'll teach you how to write a coherent sentence. :)

  • i would ignore people like that lol

do you just keep your notes in those plastic pouches? thats a pretty good idea.

  • Yeah i would definitely ignor those people! Interesting collection! I loved it!

  • if you have any new ones, than PLEASE make another video PLEASE

  • Thanks for the encouragement. I don't expect to have anything more anytime soon, but perhaps someday I will. If so, I may just make another vid. I'm glad you enjoyed this one so much. Thanks again. -Mike :)

  • The 1928 series $1 silver certificate notes are indeed referred to as "Funnybacks" Mike. In addition, you do indeed prize your 1896 $1 Educational Note. I admire the $5 Educational Note much. But it's nice to have an Educational Note and your specimen seems to be "very good" from what I can decipher. Your $10 1914 horse blanket Federal Reserve Note seems to be in a lesser grade than your Educational Note. Curiosity strikes me at this time - does your Educational Note have any pin holes?

  • i have a funny back too , lol FUNNY BACK FTW!

    fine condition too

i have much more, no videos so dont go lookin at my channel :o

  • how much do those notes cost

  • is that a different size than regular?

  • If there's not a shop near you in which to purchase items such as these, you can get pretty much any sort of currency on eBay.

  • Hi. I really thank you for such a positive comment. Hearing that makes me feel good. I sure do appreciate it. Thanks for watching. -Mike :)

  • Thanks for your work. This was very educational for my son, who is learning about history and currency.

  • Yes. I have heard that. Nice hearing from you. Thanks for watching. -Mike :)

  • canadians have loonies and toonies :P
