Yes, I highly reccomend it! I shoot that rifle with no ear covers all the time, as long as there are no other shooters on the range of course. The only complaint I have with the YHM Phantom 7.62 can is that it is heavy but it works so well I don't care:)
I do recommend continuing to use some ear protection, supersonic crack is LOUD. It can damage your hearing over repeated exposure, and you never get that back.
I run the same can on my 14.5" AR, and like it too.
How fast is it overheats? I meen - how many rounds need to shot in a minute, to make it hot?
