  • Chester!

  • this is so great....effortlessly great.....21 dislikes, are you kiddin' me? something seriously wrong with some people.....chet and jerry are incredible musicians, humorous, modest, respectful...who could do it better?

  • Just fantastic.

  • U R soooo right the very best part of this video is between 0.01 and 4.42. Is this not a true pleasure to watch and listen.....and it is so smooth..!!!!!

  • These fellas needed 20 or 30 more years, there was a lot more talent to be used by them, we just got a little bit of it.

  • mandyraeo727 Afraid it ain't.............just wishful thinkin'

  • I've been shredding my way up and down a neck for 21 years. I know all the tricks and don't break a sweat at two handed tapping or breaking out Eruption but if I'd ever found myself in the presence of these gentlemen, I would have been embarrassed to strum a 'C' in front of then. True masters of the instrument.

  • Timeless.

  • The very best part of this video is between 0:01 and 4:42 without a doubt !!!

  • Who's gonna take the place of these guys?

  • @sonarman65 NOBODY !!!.....:(

  • @sonarman65 I don't know if thats even possible !!!

  • loved it

  • i loved every second of this

  • Guitar music will never sound the same since these 2 legends are in heaven playing for the LORD.

  • two legends playing together !

  • 20 people who are better guitarists than Chet and Jerry disliked this.

  • @beautifulsarah100 They were probably just jealous!

There will never be better than Chet and Jerry! Stay Strong!

  • Classic !! Chicken Skin Music too !!

  • bad cut, solo by jerry and close up of chet -.-

  • This version is Ok..a little too hillbilly for my taste though.

  • That little lick that Jerry plays at the end of each verse, where he has two melodies going in contrary motion, was used in Glen Campbell's "Southern Nights." Glen would say, " I'd like to thank Jerry Reed for this next lick," when he'd play it live.

  • So do you know that jerry was acually the coach in the movie water boy.

  • Greatness.... Chet & Jerry sound so CLEAN when they play..

  • Thanks a bunch for sharing this wonderful treasure of a video!

  • legends.....

  • Pure killer............two of my heroes on the same stage. This means a lot. Put tears in my eyes. Thanx!!!

  • gosh... watching vids of these 2 when they were younger... and up to now... Their styles are so refined and polished. I'm a jazz/reggae fan really... But I could listen to this all day.

  • i have this dvd at home and its so great. any chance to see these two>>>>

  • What can one say these two take your breath away it will be a long time before we see the like of these guys again many pickers now copy them but they always led

  • long time i've loved this version. i just found a youtube clip of doc and merle watson playing this in 81. its definitely worth checking out. its posted just as doc and merle watson. the song isn't in the posting title.the poster's name is jackogreen. for fans of flatpickin it worth a listen. jah love !

  • snowman..... the only dude that can be so cool pickin' his nose.RIP Jerry and Chet

  • Is this a Dylan song?

  • yes ! its a dylan song

  • I have NEVER seen anyone play guitar with the smoothness of Chet Atkins !!!

  • @spadinajack ditto jerry aint bad either!

  • I love this ol' song...

  • Talented on so many levels. Humble, funny, amazing musicians....just awesome. Thanks for posting this

  • jerry is so funny

  • i've been looking for this forever !!

i knew i'd heard jerry reed sing this !!!!!

    my favorite version !!

  • WOW!!!!

  • whos that on harmonica?

  • Pat Bergeron... does some awsome work on the guitar as well.. Very talented as was everyone that Chet seemed to surround himself with.

  • he was a young guy he heard playin on the street one day..... Can't remember his name......

But He does some other stuff too...

  • now, that's what i call a lucky break !!

  • old bob dylan song

  • these 2 veterans, plus the harmonica man are just idling along, not even thinking about breaking a sweat. Such a treasure to see them 33 years later, doing what they did so well. Can't replace these guys.

  • Does anyone know the chord progression? I'm able to follow along but I'd like to know it for sure. It's in Dm and the first chord is E. That's all I have.

  • i have the tab. just remember that he is a half step down

  • this is amazing!

  • The young harp player, in unfamiliar territory of the short format song structure, messed up an soloed too long as in a jam-format. His eyes tell the story the second Reed starts the next verse.

  • Each of them are a gift to us. Absolutely incredible!! Much love to Chet, Jerry and the harp player..Thank you..

  • RIP, Frosty--you brought many a smile to my face, and I thank you for that!

  • Absolutely the two best. No big egos...just fine playing!

  • i love his spin on the lyrics; especially "you're the reason this old boy don't walk the line".

as sad i hated to see him go, i know Jerry's pickin' with the angels now.

  • theve aged a bit but still gr8

    R.I.P Snowman

    forever in our hearts

    xxxorange hawkxxx

  • nope.

  • Jerry Reed...amazing talent....comedian...songwriter....actor...storyteller and monster guitar player. RIP

  • what's the difference between ragtime and swing?

  • i've allways been a rock/blues guy but Mr Chet and snowman rock like nobody i ever heard lovin it in connecticut thanks so much

  • Anyone know who was playing the harmonica? Great work.

  • That's Pat Bergeson. He's a great picker too.

  • excellent cover of a great song. jerry makes it his own. thanks for posting this video.

  • I just picked this DVD up at Ernest Tub Record Shop in downtown Nashville. The jacket states, "Chet Atkins & Jerry Reed in concert at the Bottom Line June 22, 1992". Where the "Bottom Line" is I don't know but it says nothing about being at the Bluebird. Maybe someone knows something I don't.

  • wow he plays the melody..what a concept...so great

  • almost a ragetime fell to it.

  • hmmm. tell me what you think is ragtimey about this, I'm curious, as a ragtime fan myself.

  • This looks like the were at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

  • Feel like I struck gold in guitar heaven!

  • i have this DVD... its the best footage of chet and jerry. i have yet to ever find any clips of these two that compare to anyone on this dvd. its just amazing

  • My favorite version of this song

RIP Jerry and Chet..pickin in heaven now son!

  • Your right!!

These are the 2 best song writers, and guitar pickers ever. I dont see anyone better.

    RIP Chet and Jerry

  • merle and tommy.

  • RIP Jerry and Chet :(

  • Chet's shirt is rad.

  • RIP

He was truly one of the best.

  • Yes, he/they was.... !!!!

  • Please!! Tell me who that harmonica player is. That is so GREAT!! I perfect taste!! Who is he??

  • His name is Pat Bergeson.

  • If you think he is good on harmonica you ought to hear him play guitar!!

  • You can find videos of Pat Bergeson on guitar by visiting his Youtube channel (patbergeson) and his wife's Youtube channel (anniesellick). Don't miss some of the vids in his favourites list - some great playing by Pat with Chet and Jerry.

RIP, Chet and Jerry! Thanks for some wonderful music!

  • wow, that harmonica solo was awesome. seemed almost like jerry was shunning him a little though, talking over it like he did "you gonna pick me one?" and "yeah! chester!" but hey, i could be wrong. probly just enjoying his night on stage.

  • Tipsy? I doubt it, especially in 92'

  • Simply classic.

  • Jerry reed is an entertainer and a great story teller on top of being an accomplished composer and musician. I will pull my print of this DVD out tonight and give it yet another listen. It should be in every fans collection :-)

    Aloha from Hawaii,

    Thomas

  • Hi Kiaweking

I've been a fan of Jerry for a long time, but mainly during his early gut-string period with Chet. But times are a changin'...as always. TC

  • The 2 best ever...
