Sounds great Ken! il get there with more practice....check out my vids for my take on blues ukulele. Il have to have a play on a Ohana, seems real nice= )
This is BRILLIANT! Never don't say 'Rubbish' after you finish the song - you are a Master! (I've been playing my Harmonicas along with you - sounds fantastic!)
Excellent, Im just learning the Uke, and I am busy practicing the pattern picks you teach on one of your other videos. Ta, you are an excellent teacher also.
Rubbish? Are you crazy man? You are amazing, and you have a wonderful voice. I wish I could play like you, I'm going to have a bash at playing this before giving up because I cant do it.
As silly as this will sound, I keep thinking: "Ken Middleton and Eric Clapton Unplugged Doing the Ukulele Blues!" Very nice - you're quite versatile! :) -Lynn
Great bluesey feel Ken. You never cease to amaze me with your range. Now that I know you can blues it up with the best of them, I'd love to hear you cover Leadbelly's Where did you Sleep Last Night.
beautiful.

Ahhh just superb Ken, great feeling, and technique. Your voice sounded really good too. I thought I recognised an influence of Paul Simon maybe?
SaddleSoreSista1 3 years ago
Paul Simon is one of my all-time favourite song-writers. I listened to him since the sixties. I must record another of his songs soon.

I take a look at it Tony, but I don't play blues too often. I may do a video on blues licks soon though. Do you think that would work?
KenMiddletonUkulele 3 years ago
That would be great. All the blues licks and riffs I know are guitar based and don't translate too well to uke.
casetone2514 3 years ago
OK, I'll work on it.
KenMiddletonUkulele 3 years ago
Great blues playing and really sweet singing! You've got a unique voice. I like the way you rock at the end! 5*

Thanks R. You've got a unique voice too.
KenMiddletonUkulele 3 years ago
fantastic! totally jealous your singing, too... what uke should I get next... i think i want something with an active pick-up.
Any advice, Ken?
ccannon711 3 years ago
I don't much about ukes with pick-ups. I might look at a EleUke soon. Take a look.
KenMiddletonUkulele 3 years ago
Really nice bluesy feel. And the recording sounds great! What do you use to record?
TokyoUketarist 3 years ago
I use a Zoom H2 directly via USB into Audacity. I add a little treble EQ, gverb and normalise. I then export as an MP3.
KenMiddletonUkulele 3 years ago
great song - I never really heard any Leonard Cohen till people started covering his stuff on uke lately.
