  • I used to be so in love with The Boys. Dial my heart was my fave!! Boy do I miss those days. I don't care how corny it sounds, I truly do.

  • @virgofemme5 It don't sound corny! I feel you completely... I miss those days too!!!

  • i loved the boys and never missed arsenio. awesome clip.

  • They performed like grown men.

  • I wish they would show reruns of this show. I was sooo little when it was on that I dont remember the show.

  • @SlickEmLicksEmDown Arsenio was my fav talk show back then! Primetime at its best. I used to stay up late to watch him every night. My moms was cooled like that. I was a little one, but had to watch Arsenio! Man, those were the days!

  • Happy Birthday Hakim!

  • aww Bilal finally got that flip

  • can we get a reunion tour where they sing this, and all their other hits...and some of my favorite album tracks? i would be in the front row!

  • if r n b artist still sang songs like this, i would let my 9 year listen to it. it was so innocent and yet good back then. someone said it was nothing like being a teen in the nineties, they are so right!

  • very true my mama is holy than thou but she let me have this album at 4 years old still be playin it today

  • Best time of my life being a teen in the 90's with real music and not this crap I hear now...80's Baby = p

  • this what you call real entertainers and musicians

  • ha look at bilal

  • i freaken love 1:34

    so they're all brothers?

  • @AmmaMama yes

  • The Boys was the SHIT. Vocals, to the dancing,.... DAMN. Love the part when Tahj come in high at 3:20. Also him & Hakeem singing "Dial it, DIAL IT" starting at 3:38.

  • oh my there were soooo cute. thanks for the video

  • amen thanks for posting i love watching.

  • LOL.....OMG....I remember this. My mom let me and my sister stay up to watch them...and when they came on my sister started crying.... I was CTHU! LOL

  • i love it.

  • This was my group growing up

  • tahj and bilal were chunky back then. look totally different now...lol

they grew up to be very handsome men though. all of them

  • @meganjerai - you aint never lied...whooo-hooo, that tahj aka "crown" is foinnnne!!

  • They were Mediatakeout last week!!!

  • OMG! They were really good! Boy, I had a great childhood!!!!!!!!

  • My bad... his name is Hakim. And from my very quick Google research, The Boys transplanted themselves in Gambia, West Africa and renamed themselves The Suns of Light. They set up a recording studio and have continued to create music with a new sound in the mother land. The still look good! Check 'em out on YouTube and MySpace.

  • I still have their videos on VHS. I was so in love with ... Taj (green outfit)... I think that was his name. He was the cutest one of the brothers. The last thing I heard about them was that they were really big in Japan and stayed there for the last couple of albums. I wonder where they are now and what they are up to.

  • Dude I remember this. I was about 7 or 8 when this song and show was out. That Arsenio Hall is nutty (funny).

  • Man I still bump this album to this day.

  • Check out the May 18,09 issue of Jet a artical on The Boys.

  • @jabboys7 I am having a hard time locating it on the internet. Could you post it for me!

  • Those boys where bad. From the little i know, they left on their own terms. Props to 'em.

  • crazy

  • 5:10 ....is it just me, or was Arsenio's introduction of "The Boys" a little creepy...lol. Made me uncomfortable :-/

  • April 17, 2009

Happy 30th Birthday Bilal!!! I love you so much!!!!!!!!

  • You mean Bila is 30 years old?Man how time flies!

  • It's such a shame that 90% of the music that comes out nowadays is CRAP compared to this.

  • You got that right I agree.

  • maybe i'm slow...but is one of "The boys" posting these vids? Thank goodness for Youtube. THis song and LUcky CHarm were my favorites. I also liked the Saga Continues...but that didn't too well.

  • its their father posting all their videos

  • Whatever happened to these guys? so much talent....

  • Check out who posted the video.

  • And they're A LOT more talented than those Disney Channel actors-turned-singers that have been happening ever since Hannah Montana and High School Musical...

  • i love these guys especially Hakim who still looks great as ever

  • Miss these guys. I miss the New Jack Swing sound.

  • i was 12 when the boys came out! i remember it like yesterday. I always loved hakim! he had a lot of swagger even back then!

  • yeah.... i was eight when they came out, and when i saw hakim, i was started picking out baby names! i was crazy lol

  • he sounds like lil bobby brown.

  • Bravo,that's real singing!!

  • the best part was that this was LIVE

very few singers can sing live and do all that dancing their doin

    the boys rock

    plain and simple

  • i love how these dudes mocked all the other hot performers of their day. in the real video, the madonna vogue-ing was perticularly priceless..

  • 1990 for sure, Crazy came out that year, and I remember they was on one of 1990s episode of "Different World" when they sang that song "Crazy". My other favorite song of theirs was "Lucky Charms" which it came out in 1988.

  • ok i thought i was just imagining i had seen these guys when i was about 12 down at Venice Beach until Arsenio just confirmed it! thanks!

  • Mad props to these boys

  • this was 1990 because Tajh had his fade like dat he is so cute

  • This was a big improvement over the Showtime at the Apollo performance.

  • That also shows you how BIG Arsenio was at the time, because it used to be that Apollo performances would set the stage; but, with Arsenio, you REALLY had to bring it.

  • Arsenio Hall needs to comeback, get rid of these raggety ass shows like Maury, Jerry and Steve Wilko.

  • Man I miss the Arsenio Hall show.

  • @bjh1207 Arsenio was great he just made the biggest bullies in America mad... the jews... when he let Farrakhan come on the show. Jews hate free speech for people other than jews

  • Production wise: They were sooooo ahead of their time for real.

  • I wonder if you can still find the albums???

  • Gee, their records sound awesome, but live performances definitely rock it !

    Please post some more !

    Thanks for this one.

  • They should hAVE A REUNION so I can throw my fucking panties on stage. I can't believe I'm screaming like a BITCH right now.

  • lolol

  • Ahhhhhh..."The Boys", I loved them then and I still love them now. All of them were cute as a button and I really enjoyed watching them perform. Good Luck to all of you, Much Love!

  • Man I took these times for granite. I wish I could go back to the 80's when I was coming up in this era, because music, sports and everything is wack now.

  • I know, These are the real youngsters!!!

Fuck Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Pretty Ricky, T-Pain.

  • you're so right. this is real music. not the trash those dudes put out today.

  • Got that right.

  • 16 stop watchin this video right now!!!!!!!!!!

  • No, 16 needs to stop watchin 106 and Park.

  • I named myb son after KHIRY.

  • What happen to Khiry ? DiD he go Solo he is not in the ( New Group )

  • Khiry's working in background.

  • Thanx Much - tell BOBA Gee i saiD Hello & keep up the great work guys

  • there is and was always something so sexiabout hakeem. i'm only 21 and i remember that

  • which 1 is he?

  • Wouldn't it be nice to have him back on TV?

  • I used to love this group... What happened to all the talented Boy Bands ?

  • The Boys/The Suns can outsing these no-talent singers now!!!! This is REAL music!!!!!

  • I agree. These artists now don't know anything about talent. It's all about who looks better; who has the best looking jewelry, cars, and clothes. There's no talent anymore.

  • I know right. The music industry is too damn Hollywood for me. I mean don't get me wrong. Image was everything back then, but it wasn't the sole purpose like it is now. Back then, you have to have talent along with good looks.

  • Exactly.

  • LOL!!! Arsenio is soooo funny. Those old white jealous men were so jealous of his success and pulled the plug on him. What a shame!!!! He should take Jay Leno's place for Late Night when Jay retires.

  • Holy shit!!!!! I remember this shit like it was yesterday!!!! I love The Boys. If you are over 28, you remember these guys!!!!

  • I do too and yeah I am over 28, my favorite was "Dial My Heart" and "A Little Romance" too cute they were all of them!

  • this was my era , so dope ! the clothes imo , are still dope ! but i was more in to gear like " Conart " , " GAT " , and original " Tribal Gear " ! Even though " Cross Colours " was dope , still is !

  • The word "dope" is from that era also. LOL

  • my era too,i had the darker Cross Colour clothes.but i had those neon knee length shorts though LOL.

  • I like the arrangement they did for this performance!

  • ME TOO!!!!!!

  • OMG!!!!!!! I love The Boys! Thank you sooooooo much for posting.

  • Energetic.....Miss them mayne.

  • I love The Boys. They are so talented. Thanks for posting!

  • omg..i rem The BOys. I was so in love with them back in the day..lol

  • This show had live performances, it showed the artist real talent. I miss it, there is NOTHING like it on crappy T.V.

  • they did a real good job singing live. most entertainers suck at singing live, but they did the song justice!

  • Aww, I watched Arsenio all the time!!! I remember the Boys being on there. :)

  • Awesome Vid! The 90's were such good years for great music like this!

    The boys ROCKED! So talented!

  • I remember this show well. I never missed Arsenio. Glad to hear that these guys are doing well.

  • I remember this show specifically as well because the version they did of "Crazy" was awesome. Talented guys then and now. Pretty solid family structure as well. I have yet to see them on one of E!'s has been shows or the evils of being child stars. I enjoyed them so much when they came out.

  • i remember that specific show. good times :)

  • Hello Jaboys7, just wanted to say that your kids are extremely talented. you must be really proud of them. Those videos bring back a lot of good memories. I heard Hakim's recent work, it's really good. Hope to hear more. All the best to your family.

  • peep the outfits though LOL...so 90's

  • OH WOW! THIS WAS TOO DOPE!!!

  • I've always loved the boys! Go Hakim!

  • Hakeem was my favorite!!! He was fine as hell with those juicy ass lips!!!!

  • That's when groups had moves to match the song instead of the free style humpin' they do onstage nowadays !!!

  • Before B5 & Immature. THERE WAS THE BOYS. Thanks for posting it.

  • I think it was 1990 or 1991

  • What year was this ? This couldn't be 1989. They look and sound a bit more mature than from the video. Great live version nonetheless.

  • No it's not. it's 1990 b/c that is when Crazy was released.

  • This could be from late 1989 cuz "TAHS" was popular around this time as well as the song. The song came out in '88 when their voices hadn't really changed. Just a theory.

  • this is late 90, that is when Crazy was poppin

  • this live version is hottt!

  • can we give props to bilal, he ALWAYS kept up with his brothers!!! Baby B!

  • I'm loving this performance especially since at the time I couldn't stay up that late to see it!

  • Me too LOL. Twenty years later, I get to finally see it :o)
