I really enjoyed seeing/hearing this film, Thanks! Peg Leg played the Endangered Species in Chapel Hill, NC some between 1972-74, sometimes with Mike Cross as warmup act, admission 50 cents, about the price of a draft beer or maybe a little more. I heard him ther e 2-3 times, and wondered about what was in the cup that he used to soak his harp, wondered if it might be white-lightning. But whether or not it was, Peg Leg was really entertaining, and I miss him. He was and is a treasure!

I saw old Peg Leg at the Philadelphia Folk Festival in the 70's. He dowsed his harp with a can of beer before he played Greasy Greens (a great song) and an unforgettable moment. What a showman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A GREAT FIND!!!!! Does anyome know where I can find the lyrics/ It is so moving as it is , I want to understand it better. ( My english is not that good) Merci d'avance. =)
The Freddie that Peg Leg keeps mentioning is Freddie Vanderford. Freddie is carrying the torch with commitment and conviction. Check-out Freddie's video, Greasy Greens on my channel.
I used to see him about once a month when I was a kid in the 1960s in Mississippi. He and an indian guy selling snake bite cure did a show at "first monday" In Ripley MS. I never missed them
