I just got back from that place last night as a family vacation and that was the fastest and worst ride I've been on. I didn't even know that kind of speed limit was even legal. It went so fast that my face was squished in between my legs (not from being scared -being extremely fast. It hurt my back so much when we went faster my back went farther and cracked my spine. lemme' tell u somethin'. -never going on that ride EVER AGAIN

its about the same as ghost rider but i swear to god you dont feel the drop at all the only time you get that adrenaline stomach feeling is when you shoot off this is a verry fun ride and you feel weightless at the top but besides the launch(wich is fun) its not scary @magicanimals458

I recently went to knotts and i did not get on this ride. As soon as i left the park i saw the coaster and as soon as it was reaching the top it suddenly went backwards!! scaryy!!!

I've been on this ride, and trust me 80mph is MUCH faster than it sounds. Plus, Xcellerator was the first of it's kind, and all the other rides similar to this wouldn't be possible without it.

What bugs me is how people think they copied Top thrill dragster and kingda ka, when the reality of it is, Xcelerator was the first ride with a drop & start like this. the other ones are just bigger. So w/ out this ride, those rides might not even exist now

Ok, to set the record straight, the show BrainRush isn't something that takes place at the park everyday or anyday for that matter. The shoot itself was only on-site one day at Xcelerator. The show is staged. I know this because I was there that day. Ok then...that is all.

Dude i read on the net that this roller coaster just had an accident. a 12 yr old kid and his dad went on this thing when the cable for the ride snapped and the ride went backwards. in the video i saw of it, it looked like some of the cable shrapnel were thrown on their face and they both were rushed to the hospital with leg and back pains. The coaster was closed down for inspection, so Brain Rush wont be ridin this baby for a while.

Just as good as Topthrill Dragster w/ overbanked figure 8. Totally cool ride for such a tight space. Knott's does really well for such a small area to squeeze stuff in.

AND THE XCELERATOR!

and it is now my fave coaster! i am married to it!!! i loved it! i encourage anyone to go on this ride! it is so much fun! you dont even feel the drop at ALL!

Perlious Plunge is the only ride i havent been on....I always go to knott's in the off season so its usally closed for rehab or whatever reason the park has it closed.....Xcelerator is probably one of the best rides in the park!! that lunch is so intense!! haha

Xcelerator was the first hydraulic launch coaster and was the test ride for Top Thrill Dragster.
