  • We are tired that Gary is in NHL 12 etc. but we want him to commentate real games right?

  • gagne will always be a flyer in my heart.

  • Simon has a little habit,,, that is to continue scoring the biggest clutch overtime goals more than any one else

  • i was there best game i ever was at

  • @gprhamilton me too bro. It was incredible wasnt it? I think it was louder where I was when Primeau tied it. Then again, it was all the same. Wish we still had Prim and Gags for this losing series against Boston.

  • goose bumps..still.

  • at 0:17 it lookes like the score changed from 4-4 to 6-4?!

  • @wildfan18568 im pretty sure its 5-4 its just really blurry

  • gags gave us some good years

  • I love Simon Gagne, i liked him ever since he started hockey, and now hes with TB? oh Total Bullshit

  • WE GOT A GAME 7!!!!

  • @ wahrheitverdad i respect that i'm a flyers fan and i love the fan bases of the canada teams.....we are passionate about our flyers but you guy take it take it to a new level even when your teams aren't doing well you guys still show up.....I love hockey.....show love to the sport

  • @go2hell38 yeah we're good fans most of the time. It takes years of our team doing really really bad for attendance issues. Except for leaf fans, they're the most loyal fans I've ever seen.

  • Simon Gagne!! We've got a Game 7!!!

Maybe one of the best calls in my life.

  • @RetepAdam omg dude for sure! these announcers today suck. All the guy says is scooree really loud. nothing special

  • "WE'VE GOT A GAME SEVEN!"

Doc Emrick could never make a call like that.

  • what is this announcers name?

  • Tough game 7 loss for the flyers in that series, but they played with heart and gave the lightning every thing they had which is good enough for me

  • All I want is Gary thorne to commentate. He's the best

  • bettman's had his job since the early 90's. He's good at it so deal with it.

  • For some reason... I don't hate this highlight anymore.

  • I Cant belive we traded simon gagne to tampa :( Gagne was the best

  • Comment removed

  • flyers need that goal horn back. If would have been funny if they had went one to play Calgary because they both pretty much had the same goal horns. Great fanbases in both cities wouldn't have hurt either.

  • wish he could have done this last wednesday in that game 6!

  • Gagne is gonna do it again in a few minutes, same call by Emrick

  • wow, you can't even hear the horn

  • To bad flyers lost game 7. Theyve gotten robbed so many times over the years by the refs

  • terrible that tampa won the cup, just terrible. damn red neck town...

  • Still gives me chills. Best announcing combination ever. "Score! Simon Gagne! We gotta game 7!" If only we could do it again. and make it to the finals, and win it all... That was our best team in a while.

  • @Toastabl3 I still get excited when I see this video even though I know the Flyers lost game 7. I think the Flyers have a legitimate shot this year. They've finally started playing up to their potential in these past 2 weeks. All we need is another good playoff from Boucher. I also wish we could get the playoffs on ESPN again. The announcers were always impartial, unlike the VS and NBC announcers.

  • @Toastabl3 they still can, they just need to beat Chi in 7

  • Tampa Pussies they should have never won the cup that year.

  • why did they play the hey song after this goal?

  • @Philly4Life1818 i think becuz they won the game or somthing like tht

  • LOL!!!

  • i can't believe this was 6 years ago...it feels like yesterday i was sitting in those stands scared to death that their season was about to end

  • @mt6492 yu are so right this feels like yesterday i watched it live

  • this is so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye, especially hearing the crowds roar when it goes in

  • beautfiul..lets go flyers

  • Every time I still see this and Keith's goal... I just wanna jump up and yell like I did 5 years ago.. <3 you Gange.

  • @SLIPWOLF yeah man same

  • do someone know what is the song right after the gagne's goal, i rly want to have it on my pc

  • Rock'n Roll Part 2 by Gary Glitter.

  • man if they had won game 7, it would have been my two fav teams in the finals. damn. but this was amazing!!!

  • and not to mention the flyers and the flames had almost the exact same goal horns!!!

  • i know! lol its amazing!! i love that horn

  • yea my team is flames and they would of won :P

  • i still cant believe we lost game 7. i swore we took tampa's heart after that game. look at them as theyre leaving the bench. they look like a beaten team

  • The Flyers are the most talented team in the NHL on paper...i mean look at how stacked the team is. I think coach Stevens may need to be....redistributed...

  • I was there!

  • WOW this is hockey! Lets GO FLYERS!

  • Bucklesisfake, When did you become a Clitsburg fan? Let me guess...2008? But I'm sure I'm wrong and you were a fan before then when the fucking team almost went bankrupt b/c of the bandwagon fan base.

  • nicolefff is right flyers winning the cup this year. giroux gonna be sick nasty this year and pronger say no more will handle malkin and sidney he excited to play them 6 times a year. We need to be physical like ol days

  • the penguins are garbage...the flyers had them out of the first round but the NHL likes giving out 5 on 3 power plays in overtime. I just hope now that their precious little Sidney was handed the cup that we can get back to playing real hockey.

  • Whatever, bandwagoner.

  • the Flyers could win the cup this year if they get a better goalie. dont get me wrong, emery is good, but he isnt stellar. also, briere needs to be briere again. champs 2010 baby

  • Emery took the Sens to the finals in 07... he's proven himself once and he'll do it again, have faith!

  • as a Flames fan, I wish we could have played the Flyers instead. they actually have a fanbase, not like tampa gay

  • @wahrheitverdad I don't think you would have wanted the flames playing IN philly that year. There would have been permanent hearing damage to everyone in that building.

  • @naes101010 yeah that may be true but check out game three of the finals. isless13 has the best one.

  • @wahrheitverdad yeah, that was horrible losing to a team in the Eastern Conference finals with no fans. Philly/Calgary would've been an awesome series.

  • @SuketoKetchi yeah. just like this year, chicago-philly would be awesome.

  • @wahrheitverdad tampa gay.......good one

  • @wahrheitverdad NO CUP FOR YOU!

  • @Deempie92 no cup for me? ha I was going for chicago in this one. I actually was somewhat indifferent, I just wanted hockey to go to game seven so I could watch more.

  • @wahrheitverdad Don't blame tampa over your loss.

    It was the referees fault.

  • @ruprockz sorry I can't tell if you're comment is sarcastic or sincere. Haha you know how it is with texts and comments, you can't read tone of voice.

  • @wahrheitverdad No, mine is sincere.

  • @wahrheitverdad you wished you would of played the flyers because we beat your bitter asses

  • @ownwar8 not that anyone in Tampa Bay knows about it. Or even what hockey is.

  • @wahrheitverdad Yep. Sure. Keep telling yourself that....Now, let me enjoy the 2004 win as we go for another one in 2011. Enjoy the off season. :)

  • @wahrheitverdad: You're being a dumbass bashing sun-belt team fans just cos you can't handle that 2004 loss or how poor your team is today. And jealous of your fans? Go read on how pathetic your fanbase was in mid-nineties due to poor on-ice play that led to owners of the THREATEN relocation to boost season-ticket renewals. If it weren't for the NHL's C.A.P., the team wouldn't be in Calgary today. I guess they swept that important piece of Flames history under the carpet, eh?

  • @SYLFan2008 Do any teams have fans show up when the team plays poorly for years? The leafs are the only ones I can think of. The cap helps with keeping teams in smaller cities where the fans are actually passionate. Winnipeg is the smallest city in the NHL, yet their fanbase is one of the best in the league. But what's the point of wasting money on a team buying tickets when there is no change from management to be a playoff team?

  • @SYLFan2008 By the way, my comment on this video has been the top rated for two years. You are maybe the third lightning fan in two years to argue what I said. Other teams would have had their fans all over me, defending their team. So kind of proves my point, hey?

  • @wahrheitverdad: Your comment being top-rated has nothing to do with you being right. Argumentum ad populum- read on it. Feeble-minded idiots that will clap like chimps over "anti-Sunbelt" diatribes will always side with the demagogues who espouse them. If you actually bothered to research on how pathetic the Flames' situation was in the mid-nineties, you wouldn't be spouting rubbish. Then again, when do facts matter to Canuckleheads when it comes to hockey?

    P.S. I'm not a Lightning fan.

  • @SYLFan2008 The point wasn't that my comment is top rated. The point is that my comment has been in plain sight for to years as a result of being top rated. The point is that you're maybe the third of fourth person to disagree with me. And yes, I do know the pathetic past the flames had. But name one other team (besides the maple leafs) who's fan attendance didn't plummet when the team played poorly. And I don't mean for just one season either.

  • @SYLFan2008 There's more to the story than just a dying fanbase. The Canadian dollar was struggling at the time, and it was tough for any small market team. Quebec City and Winnipeg lost their teams because of the economy. Calgary and Edmonton almost did as well. More people showed up to the post-loss rally the flames held than the stanley cup parade in Tampa. Just like how Detroit was struggling to get people in the stands. But then almost 5 million people came to the parade. It was the economy

  • @wahrheitverdad: "and it was tough for any small market team." "It was the economy"- Boy, you're pathetic, aren't you? You make the same excuses YOU DON'T WISH TO EXTEND towards small-market teams in US, just so you have a boorish and jingoistic platform to spew bile from. Guess what mate...it IS the economy.

"More people showed up to the post-loss rally "- And you were there keeping count? A sporting person would accept defeat rather than stoop to juvenile retorts. You lost. Get over it.

  • @SYLFan2008 Small market teams in the US? Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg are the smallest markets in the NHL. It's not just based on city size, it's based on surrounding areas as well. Tampa Bay has the whole lower east of Florida. Atlanta definitely had enough people in the area, they can get 72,000 at a football game. Dallas can fill more than 80,000 for football. Most southern americans just don't seem to like hockey. What is so hard to understand about that? I've been to Dallas, Tampa...

  • @SYLFan2008 ...Annaheim,. I've seen the difference in regards to passion about hockey. While in the cities I've mentioned, most people are passionate about basketball, baseball, and the NFL.

There are hockey fans, but not as much as in Canada, or cities like Philadelphia or Detroit, Speaking of small market teams, I mentioned Detroit, and while they're a big city, the economic crash decimated the city. It costed more for season tickets than for a house. Yet they still have passionate fans

  • @wahrheitverdad: I guess your previous post didn't show up since your response begins with "...Annaheim [sic]." FTR, diff. teams have diff. levels of passion based on how their teams do. A Sunbelt city like Dallas sold out 238 games straight when they were good, but not anymore since they've been average to poor. OTOH, a team like SJ is able to keep that passion going cos of their team still being considered favorites. That's how it works (contd.)

  • @SYLFan2008 It did show up, I just had to do the ... to indicate continuation.

  • @wahrheitverdad: Yes, there will always be other sports that will take precedence over others. Dallas will always be a Cowboys town and Toronto, a hockey town. However, good on-ice product will bring fans in a transplanted world we live in...period. Even a O6 team like Chicago barely filled 1/3rd of UC back in 2002-03- barely one year removed from a raucous sold-out UC in 2001-02 (I sat in UC both times)- because the team went from a playoff team in 2001-02 to a bottom feeder within one year.

  • @wahrheitverdad: It's also asinine to measure a fan-base's passion based on crowd strength at a parade. 2 mill showed up for Chicago's parade and half of that showed up for Bruins' parade. It'd be stupid to ascertain Bruins' fanbase passion = 1/2 of Chicago's. Get what I'm saying?

There'll always be passionate fans of TB, Pho, NSH, Dal, etc., who don't need certification from you. You need to look beyond this jingoistic dick-measuring contest you set as a benchmark. Cheers.

  • @wahrheitverdad: Lastly the sport has existed in the south since the 1940's. Other sports will take precedence, sure, but there'll always be loyal hockey fans. 15000 sat and watched Stars vs Sharks go to 4OT till 2 AM on a weeknight in 2008. That's not passion? Then there's the rapid growth of minor-league hockey in the south due to which a Stefan Noesen (Plano born and raised) gets into hockey and gets drafted 21st overall, BY A CANADIAN TEAM. It's a great sport- share it, don't hoard it.

  • @SYLFan2008 It is a great sport. We're proud of it in Canada, and we enjoy having the rivalry between American cities about Hockey. We do like sharing it; the NHL would be incredibly boring if it were only Canadian teams.

  • @wahrheitverdad Must stink sitting there criticizing fan bases to get attention...........maybe if your team won some Cups every once in a while, you wouldn't need to sink to such social lows

  • @stephl349 "sink to such social lows"? You make no sense. How is commenting on a team's fan base, or lack thereof, a social low that I sank to? I think you've just sunk to the level you speak of by spewing your jealousy of my team's fan base. And for your information, we did win a stanley cup, 20 years ago. That counts as once in a while.

  • @wahrheitverdad My jealousy of your team's fan base.............alright. Sure.

  • @wahrheitverdad thank you, these up an coming teams hav just gained thes fanbases when canadien teams and teams like the bruins and flyers hav always had them and always will

  • @wahrheitverdad You wish you would of played the Flyers because You wouldn't of lost to them.

  • @BuccaneersTalib Yeah, that's part of it. Also, the Orange Crush vs the C of Red, two very similar goal horns, and loud fans. By the way, on an unrelated note, I've recently been to Tampa. Very beautiful city.

  • guys guys calm down....

every year we make it to the playoff

every 3 years to the eastern finals

but this year we lost to pittsburg 2 years in a row

    but pittsburg done now

and now philly is gonig to win the cup

    ps what a goal

  • I don't understand why Biron got so much blame. We didn't lose to pittsburgh because of Biron. We lost to pittsburgh because Fluery shut us the fuck down, and we took too many STUPID penalties ( game 2 in OT) the Flyers should have won that series in 5 or 6 games

  • we never would have went to OT if the refs didnt call that stupid hooking call on Carter. Game 1 would have be ours as well if they didnt give the Crybaby his kick in goal. That changed momentum. The Pens get lucky every time, but their luck has run out

  • @dawkinchainz yeah there luck is strating to come to a end!

  • @tslabjr7 I've proven this before. The Penguins are nothing without Evegeni Malkin.

  • aww man these were the days. It feels so great when your team plays and exciting game like that and comes out on top. Its even better when your favourite player scores the game winning goal

  • oh and btw, why the fuck are we arguing with each other, WE ARE ALL frustrated, but at least the phillies took some of that frustration out. now were all philly fans here, stop fucking fighting with each other, we're all part of the same fan base, the best in sports, lets focus more on worrying about other teams and their fans, than our own. we are one city, and a bitchin one at that, i figure its not even worth getting pissed anymore, lets take harry the k's attitude and have "high hopes"

  • 3 more things that need to happen...

    1. NEVER re-sign Biron.

    2. Sign Jay-Bo

    3. Cut Emery before he disgraces the city

    4. Trade for a real goalie

whoops thats 4. Were heading for more frustration this year.

  • ehhhh, idk, for some reason, i think philly is the absolute PERFECT place for emory, i felt uneasy about it at first, but i feel like emory is gonna rape shit here, he's pretty much a black ron hextall, and i tihnk thats what we need, as for j-bo, that would be great, but the salary he would take up is not a plus. i'd rather see them get heatley, or what would make this team unstoppable..a goalie like luongo

  • I'm friggin sick Ray Emery? seriously? Brian fucking Boucher? WTF! Sbisa,lupul,2 first round picks for fucking Pronger? This is terrible. If they don't win the cup this season i am a flyers fan no more

  • you gonna hop on Shittsburgh's bandwagon...? Seriously, stop acting fairweather... it'll work out.

  • fairweather? wtf r u talking about. Ive been a Flyers fan through thick and thin I went to my first game at the spectrum in 91 when we sucked. I was a fan when our Goaltenders were *gasp* Tommy Soderstrom and Roussell so don't give me fairweather bs dude. I'm just tired of all the fucking knee jerk moves we make every year and the constant blaming of goaltenders when we couldn't score a goal against pittsburgh to save our life, Pronger isn't worth the young talent and prospects we just gave up

  • Clarke isn't our GM anymore... we still have plenty of young talent in the system... Giroux will fill a void as will JVR. Marshall will be a solid D-Man when he matures. Emery has proven himself once in 07. Our D now is fine with Pronger, Timonen, Jones, Coburn, OKT and Carle or Parent... Have a little faith... The O on this team will be better than last year's with a legitimate D too.

  • I definitely have high hopes for Giroux he is going to be one of the premier play makers in the NHL.

  • We have had the same GM since 1967, Ed Snider. The GM is just a fall guy for his forgotten style of play. Too many goons, not enough sticks. Enough is enough, Ed. Put 1975 behind you. Raise a new banner.

  • ed sniders the owner turd

    Holmgren is the GM

dont use the phrase "We' if you dont even know the front office

  • you are a flyer fan through thick and thin, yet you are gonna bail on them if they dont win? your a true dumbass

  • 3 things that need to happen

    1. get back on ESPN

    2. get rid of Bettman

    3. Crosby never win another cup

  • @zaknod

and get gary thorne back to announce games

  • @zaknod best comment I've ever seen on youtube

  • @zaknod couldn't have said it better myself

  • @zaknod that retarded delay of game goalie penalty

  • @zaknod the nhl actually just rejected an offer from espn earlier this year

  • all you people are sick of the flyers losing in the playoffs every year?? I agree but at least we make the playoffs every year unlike the panthers, islanders etc.

  • The only reason the Flyers can't seem to beat the Penguins is because they have that mindset. That "Ungh here they r again let's just get this defeat over with" thing is what is killing them. It is only because all they do is give Crosby the puck and play defense from then on. Once the Flyers exploit that, its over for Shittsburgh.

  • good old days

  • I was on vacation watching this game and all my friends rushed in the room I was in thinking I was hurt or something cuz I was yelling so loud!!

  • Still remember yelling so loud off my balcony people in Miam thought there was a Brazilian Soccer game going on! Hopefully we go further this year!

  • man they gave it one hell of a run that year! some of the most memorable performances i have ever seen. Starting with Keith Primeau carrying the team on his back, kappanen getting back to the bench after he took a huge hit to not stop the play in that game 6 ot vs the leafs, roenick's goal to win that game, Esche played WELL above his level through those playoffs. It was sad to let that team go, but the new flyers are back with a vengeance and were gonna take that cup this year!

  • This year?? Dont you mean 2009?? Dont you mean 4589?? We FUCKIN SUCK!!!!! THE SAME FUCKIN STORY, A GREAT REG SEASON,AND THEN FUCKIN CHOKE. I AM SO FUCKIN SICK OF BELIEVING IN THIS FUCKIN TEAM, WE CANT BEAT PITT, AND WILL NEVER WIN... IT IS OVER

  • I understand how you feel I'm a frustrated Flyers fan myself! Pretty much these old clips are the only things that make me feel happy these days! But remember Pitt's still got to win 2 more games!!! So you never know, but you're probably right!!!!

  • ok buddy sorry we cant make it to the eastern conference championship every year u too are an embarrasment of a philly fan move the fuck to pittsburgh u front runniing faggot sorry the team cant be unbeatable every year

  • I don't live in Philly I live in South Jersey it's close to Philly. And I ain't a fucking front-runner. I've been a Flyers fan all of my life. Why don't you find something else to do then look at Flyers vids since you aren't a real fan and insult THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!

  • LOL, shut the fuck up jerkoff. I am a frustrated flyers fan that is sick of losing in the playoffs. Like every year. I cant help it if thats how I vent. And if you or anyone else was insulted, then too fuckin bad.

  • I'm frustrated too! I feel the same way u do! I'm done with these bullshit comments sent 2 me saying "I'm not a real fan!" I'm not gonna let it bother me anymore! SO COMMENT BACK ALL U WANT I DON'T FUCKING CARE!!!!!

  • have some fucking fucking faith your an embarassment to say your a philly fan go suck on malkins and crosbys dick since you think there way to good for the flyers

  • i argree with phillyfan3420, the only reason you should be saying these things is if you root for the Leafs.

  • Baring a huge 3 wins in a row against the Penguins, the season does look over. But man get the fuck up and quit bitching about this team "sucking". Just 2 years ago this team was in last fucking place and now they are a playoff calibur team and only a few players away from being the best in the league. Stanley Cups aren't won overnight, just lok at the 80s Oilers, they lost the first cup then won 5.

Just you wait and see, there will be a Stanley Cup for the Flyers in the next couple of years.

  • hey faggot i dont give a fuck if u live in phila as the other dude said ur an embarrasment to phila sports, crosby gets lucky goals and our goaltending could not compete with pitt but to say well never win when we have 6 players who scored over 30 goals make u sound like a fucking idiot so do us all a favor move the fuck to pittsburgh or shut ur fat fucking mouth, i cant wait till next year wen we have a bteer goalie and shit on the penguins fucking cocksucker

  • he can't score a regular goal agianst us it's kicked or he slideds it or deflection

  • One of the best hockey games I ever seen. I remember losing my voice when Gagne scored. GO FLYERS!

  • chills every single time i watch this miss gary thorne and bill clement together

  • Best moment ever!!!!

  • Us Flyers fans truely are the most passionate in hockey. Find anywhere else in the world that gets this loud. Simply amazing!

  • Scooooooore Simon Gagne we got a game 7

  • the greatest hockey announcer of all-time!

  • emerick and clement together were as good as sumeral and madden.

  • thats gary thorne, not emerick

  • oppps, ur right. correction noted. no disrespect to thorne

  • without a doubt. gary thorne getting so amped up followed by bill clement anylizing the play so nicely was just the best duo ever.

  • "we got a game 7" chilliz down my spine

  • i was at this game with a buddy of mine. i was a senior in high school then.......seeing it brings back such great memories. that was our year and that goal BLEW THE ROOF OFF THAT BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was such an honor to be at that game. we'll be back again!

  • Bring's a tear to my eye everytime....

  • me too. did you watch the lightning leaving their bench? 5 years later, i still think they looked like a beaten team after this

  • Losing game 7 was an even bigger let down than the 2000 ECF series against the Devils.

This game goes down as one of the greatest games in Flyers history in my book.

  • i still get goosebumps when i watch these vids.ill never forget watching this game live.04 was the best shot the flyers have had at the cup since 97.they were stacked.ahhh the good old pre salary cap days

  • This was one of the best games of the '04 playoffs:-)

  • this was one of the best games in recent memory

  • I'm in Columbus, and I remember watching this game with a buddy of mine and we are two of four patrons in the bar and when Gags scores that goal I went absolutely nuts. The tenders looked at me like I WAS nuts, but I did not care.

Possibly the best playoffs I've seenof any of my teams (Tribe, Cavs, OSU).

  • what's a buckeye?

  • a poisonous nut

  • I miss Gary Thorne

  • wow why did I just watch this before going to bed now Im so jacked up!!!

  • God definitely added this to his favorite videos on zeus-tube.

  • wow nhl on espn is so unbelieveble!! fuicking bettman!! you prfer versus then espn !!!

  • man ... this is when hockey was great ... on espn

  • i want this on my ipod...and just play it over and over again .. of course after the primes goal.

  • as a pens fan, i hate the flyers, and i always will. its nothing personal

but as a hockey fan, the two events you're talking about are just awesome to watch

  • well your the same as me with the penguins...sure im a flyers fan but im a fan of hockey above all else

  • I'm a Lightning fan, and even I constantly find myself coming back to these videos...the crowd reactions are amazing in both videos...especially the Primeau goal.

  • flyers just rule.end of.

  • who are the announcers??? they are awesome, i know one is bill clement, whats the other one

  • Gary Thorne.. he is kinda a jerk and just like the current home team, but the man knows how to announce a game

  • i can watch this 100 times and still get the chills

  • Sorry about this but what is the name of the goal song they used here. I now forgot it when they started using bro hymn by pennywise

  • I was at this game and to this day the crowd after this goal was the loudest thing I have ever heard in my life. Absolute bedlam.

  • I want to hear Gary Thorne on the call again. Hey ESPN, bring back the NHL! Nobody gives a rat's ass about the NBA. Seriously.

  • Ya the NHl should be on VS, local station for local teams, NBC and ABC and ESPn

  • this is still one of the greatest games I've ever attended.

  • The 2nd greatest ive been to
