@trouble1macker202 Hey man, thanks for commenting. The bass does not have a gloss finish, so it doesn't shine. It's a beautiful bass, though. I've received many comments on it's appearance. I may upload a video showing off the bass.
Man I really respect your playing! I'm a jazz pianist and am a fan of Michel Camilo. I have learnt some dave brubeck pieces by ear and know how long this can take!
hey man, great cover. i have a question, i'm looking into buying this bass. i'm stuck between this and an ibanez sr 700, what is your opinion of the schecter??? do you like the emg's?? if you could reply that would be great. thanks!
@ayearofmyblood Hey man, glad you liked the song. Truth be told, I had to piece it by ear. I've been planing to redo this video for a really long time, and I'm going to get around to it sometime (I've kind of forgotten how to play it now, lol). You're probably the fifth person to comment for tabs, and I can't tab it. I think there is a written arrangement of this song somewhere, but I don't know how to obtain it. You might have to just do what I did. Good luck!
Amazing really. hey, did you learn this song by sheet music or a tab? I am planning on playing this song sometime and would like to start learning it as soon as possible. If you have any sheet music or tab could you please send it to me? I would appreciate it A LOT!
@ail555 I'm really glad you enjoyed the song, but actually I learned this song by ear... I had to take the song and slow it down and practice it for weeks on end.
This version is a year old and sounds pretty bad compared to what I can actually do and I've been promising people that I would redo this vid soon... I never actually got around to it, and I don't really know when I will. I still promise, though!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love Camilo's work, I've been a fan ever since I first saw him on "Calle 54", they played this song. This one is definitely one of my faves. What kind of bass are you buying?
I've got pretty high standards, so I cringed at each mistake. However, Anthony Jackson is a beast, so I thought that the parts you played correctly sounded pretty good.
It's difficult to restart the song after playing a flawless five minutes, especially when you have to do it over and over again. Seven minutes is a while, so I just got tired of having to re-record and decided this was my best take. I'm glad you enjoyed what you did, though. Thanks.
Yeah, but it sure took a heck of a long time... I had to use audio software to slow down the solo, and that took forever. I've mostly forgotten the rest of the song, but the solo still remains intact. I love Camilo's work, especially on One More Once and Thru My Eyes. Great musician, that Michel!
Do You Have The Tabs Or The Link Of This Song

Is the red satin on the bass glossy? I can't tell with the dim light.
Awesome song by the way.

Also, what parts do you suppose needed most work? I think the solo went fairly well, but that's just me. What'd you think?
ultimabass 2 years ago
oops... I mean Anthony Jackson is a great player to transcribe. good job

Oh, hahaha... Yeah, he's a great bassist. Love his work. If you've listened to his work with Lee Ritenour, he also does a real good job.

I'd love to give you a copy of the part... if I had one. I figured this whole song by ear. Even the solo.
