Think about storage now see how you can cram both types into that little airframe - on top of all the ammo and avionics it's "supposed" to have. I love that howl sound it makes. Only cheesy thing to me is they so reused the missle explosions over and over again in that show. E. borgnine was a lot more enjoyable to watch that J. michael and he didn't become messed up from alcohol.. Jan really could have been the 1st brad pitt...
Yeah. I remember that episode. Red Wolf had a more advanced weapon system, but it was missing Airwolf's super sonic abilities. All Hawk had to do is tap those burners and go vertical, something Red Wolf couldn't do.
Even when I first saw this at age 15, I was disappointed. They go to all this trouble to outfit another chopper, and the fight scene at the end it a letdown. It wasn't very long, the guy kept using lame one liners, and they used way too much stock footage. Also, the laser was an extremely STUPID idea, and it hits Airwolf and doesn't do shit to it! compare this battle scene with the one from the first episode. This should have epic and it wasn't.
Nope. It doesn't make the low-pitched whistle sound either. Nor does it make that other sound (the one that sounds like a loudspeaker being turned on and handled but not used). If I recall, the low-budget 4th season used a synthesised sound for the blades rotation.

The Bell 222 is such a sleek looking chopper. The "Redwolf" recieved just a cool looking paint job while the Airwolf recieved prop guns and phoney air intakes. Unfortunately, after the show was cancelled the actual Airwolf was sold to an airline in germany where it crashed. The "Airwolf" that's currently in a museum is a different Bell 222 modified with attibutes from the original.
Everything has a nemesis. Remember KITT vs Karr? A Lot Of the Airwolf sound effects are from Knight Rider as well! I am not crackin, I loved and still watch both shows with my kids! I wish television was still like that. What happened to the good guy always getting the bad guy?

When i was a kid, they had diecast toys of Airwolf. My dad went out and bought 2 of them for me, and painted one of them up with the Red Wolf colours. It was awesome :p

@azaquihel im with you. tv shows these days is weakening. few stunts, no real explode, all of those have been replaced by special effects. i felt wanna puke watching hannah montana or those craps on mtv. unlike 80s...airwolf, macgyver, knight rider etc r the BEST!

I love that howl sound it makes. Only cheesy thing to me is they so reused the missle explosions over and over again in that show. E. borgnine was a lot more enjoyable to watch that J. michael and he didn't become messed up from alcohol.. Jan really could have been the 1st brad pitt...

I love the laser too - bad rotoscoping is classic.
Also classic is the "loop into their six and one shot kill" - I wish I could find this show online somewhere - I don't really remember the 80s ;)

They recycled lots of shots. But NONE of it was CGI, unlike the crap they have today.

Yeah. I remember that episode. Red Wolf had a more advanced weapon system, but it was missing Airwolf's super sonic abilities. All Hawk had to do is tap those burners and go vertical, something Red Wolf couldn't do.

Even when I first saw this at age 15, I was disappointed. They go to all this trouble to outfit another chopper, and the fight scene at the end it a letdown. It wasn't very long, the guy kept using lame one liners, and they used way too much stock footage. Also, the laser was an extremely STUPID idea, and it hits Airwolf and doesn't do shit to it! compare this battle scene with the one from the first episode. This should have epic and it wasn't.

The original airwolf Bell 222 was sold and put back into normal service as an air ambulance. Sadly it crashed in June 1992 killing all passengers.

This is part of the reason why I love Airwolf - bring it back (and keep it sinister this time)!

Nope. It doesn't make the low-pitched whistle sound either. Nor does it make that other sound (the one that sounds like a loudspeaker being turned on and handled but not used). If I recall, the low-budget 4th season used a synthesised sound for the blades rotation.

It's on Tv in my area. They added a channel with old tv shows on it and Airwolf is one of them. But, I can watch it on DVD now.

The Bell 222 is such a sleek looking chopper. The "Redwolf" recieved just a cool looking paint job while the Airwolf recieved prop guns and phoney air intakes. Unfortunately, after the show was cancelled the actual Airwolf was sold to an airline in germany where it crashed. The "Airwolf" that's currently in a museum is a different Bell 222 modified with attibutes from the original.

Everything has a nemesis. Remember KITT vs Karr? A Lot Of the Airwolf sound effects are from Knight Rider as well! I am not crackin, I loved and still watch both shows with my kids! I wish television was still like that. What happened to the good guy always getting the bad guy?

If I see this, I remember one episode, don´t ask me what the title was, were airwolf has to fight with a replica airwolf in a sort of lab, where string and a other pilot used a 3d helmet to fight each other, but was string during the fights the real pilot who´s flight airwolf, or do they use as always real pilots and if yes, does anyone know their names? and did the fights were string so called fly airwolf are the same as in that so called episode, with the computer???

When i was a kid, they had diecast toys of Airwolf. My dad went out and bought 2 of them for me, and painted one of them up with the Red Wolf colours. It was awesome :p
