When i heard them fuck up i was like Finally !! theres bands that fuck up nearlly every performance and the living end fuck up once and people are calling them shit now thats just funny
Funny how people are saying that they now make proper music etc. But surely it's more 'real' etc if there are mistakes.. who wants to listen to a song that's completely perfect and polished. It's like plastic surgery vs a human's face.
Trav would have just joined the band at this point ('96). This was from their second EP where Joe was the drummer and left soon after it was recorded.
It's not Chris mistake. Was the drummers mistake... I play the guitar for 10 years now, and he didn't mess anything. He was in the right time, who fucked up was the drummer. I don't care, love the song and the band.
In my opinion it was not his fault. You can see the drummer not only was mistaken in this part, but in other parts of the song. I have also played lived a lot of times, the band I played the most with is called A-OK (there are several videos on youtube to be checked). That's my opinion.
for those of you who lack musical insight, stop saying this was chris' fault. He did a pickslide, which may have confused trav and made him lose his beat... but if you listen, chris strums the first chord at exactly the right time but at the same time the drum beat is thrown out
aww damn i hate it when that happens live it sounds shit when i do it but they are the living end and they dont sound shit. fucken awsome song i love it
haha the intro actually made the song cooler!

great to see them in their early days, being only 22 years old, and probably a bit sloppy cause they're nervous.

well either way not the best intro :P
trav (andy is guilty of it too) has a habit of playing really fast.
ive listened to it playing with the EP recording in the background... it is trav, chris is spot on for timing =)
still a great play tho ... what is punk rock but inperfection? thats the key underlying the way bands like the clash ans pistols played
TheLittleLegionnaire 3 years ago
Yeah, I have that album... honestly it was Chris' fault. The drums are almost in sync with the recorded version
FallenKal 3 years ago
guys i have seen the living end 4 times and i know what happened it actually has happened a few times at a living end concert
chris was drunk (maybe)
or just a bit weary
anyway what happened was he tripped over something or was just a bit slow getting to his effects pedal as you can clearly see
and that stuffed him up and after that he recognized it was his fault and corrected it
jamesnumber9 3 years ago
nope it was trac lol

I like to play this song on the drums, so i know it was faul of the drumer not from chris. I can see the thing with the pedal but he played on time.
