No, it was just a faulty trigger. The coin doesn't even cause the enemy to enter a custom state, it just deals negative damage equal to 10 % of the enemys max life.

I like the slot machine idea alot, but perhaps it could use a little more variety from other old systems? Unless you want it purely nintendo.
P.S I'd like to suggest an andros attack, since it fits the slot's origin in Star Fox. ^^
