  • Really greatful for the work guys. But really drop the Shitty iPhone 3G/s and bring it out for the iPhone 4 and I touch 4g

Keep up the good work though

  • .Can you add a custom OS to openiboot and if you can how.

  • I use a iPhone 3G on ios 4.0 and I can't get Bootlace to recognize my jailbroken iPhone as redsn0w jailbreak because I used that to jailbreak my phone D:

  • Anyone managed to boot android on the iPhone 4 using this?

  • @deadrobot5 same here

  • Marvingdingdong I have it jailbroken with whitedoor too but I don't recieve that message though

  • How do you go to the lockscreen for the idroid someone help pls cause every time I tried to it goes to the ios console and android. Help me!!!!!!

  • does this work with greenpois0n?

  • can we go back to the iphone but if we want driod we can switch between them

  • I keep getting the "unable to connect to Apple" thing. Anyone know how to fix?

Im running a 16gb Ipod touch 1st gen on 3.1.2 jailbroken with redsn0w

  • How long till this comes out for i4!! If its alredy stable and workin fine on iphone

3g 2g and ipod 1g why is it so hard to take the same thing exsactly and just port it to i4 ??

  • i´ve got a question. when i open openiboot and press install, there is a card that sais: error: installed failed. firmware could not be retrieved from apple. i tryed to do whith bootlace and whith windows, but in windows when i introduce the second command it reboot my device. what can i do??

  • Will this ever work for the iPad 1 please reply iv been wanting Android on my iPad forever

  • I got a question... Dose it give u everything... Like android market updater to update software ( or would that fuck it up) plez get back to me

  • @slicey80 Due to licensing issues, Market isn't available. You can manually install apks though

  • @Popple3 Hey i got another question how much space dose it take cuz i got i4 16gb and only got 2.6 gb left?

  • does it work with iphone 3Gs?

  • @uzbekguy1 Not at the moment. Porting is in progress though. It'll still be a while before there's anything usable.

  • I need help when i put the source: Repo.neonkoala.co.uk.... Nothing comes up

  • @Stittle1 That repo is no longer in use. I believe Bootlace is on the BigBoss repo now, so it should be in Cydia by default

  • @Popple3 yah i saw it in system in cydia

  • @0317rod so no need to add sources like neonkoala

  • @Popple3 yes its on bigboss

  • @0317rod i installed it right now a moment ago

  • Two questions:

What does "hook up to the mains" mean?

and roughly how big is the droid OS(GB?)?

  • @popple3 for some reason, my iPhone 2g blackrain won't get past where u have to install openiboot were it says downloading firmware

  • GODDAMNIT I CAN NEVER GET THIS DAMN THING TO WORK!

  • @comment below

I have the exact same as you and it didnt work but restore it then rejailbreak with redsn0w and itll work.

  • @highball5555 It works for iPod Touch 2G? Really? This is great for me, but nothing like that stands in the iDroid Wiki. Where did you got it from? :)

  • does this work on iPod Touch 2G on 4.2.1 jailbroken with Greenpois0n?

  • Is this possible on an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1?

  • @avanty123piw no its not engineered to work on a4 devices

  • Any progress being made for bootlace on the iPhone 4?

  • can it be done on a ipod touch 4g 4.2.1

  • will my apps and music and contacts transfer or delete?

  • why does noone edit out the long pauses

  • @AndaleTheGreat I didn't edit out the pauses as the point was to demonstrate that this was all happening on the device itself. Editing out the pauses would've meant that other stuff could've been happening in between, like manually installing OpeniBoot

Keep in mind, this video was created before the public release of OpeniBoot flashing in Bootlace, so it was important to show that it did indeed work

  • can it be, that iphone 2g isnt supported ? :( it starts and close directly ;( Please Help me...

  • @marvindingdong iPhone 2G is supported. Make sure you're on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3

If you already are, head over to the iDroid Project forum (link in the description) and they can help you out there

  • @Popple3 yes, i have fw: 3.1.3 (7E18) and Modell is MB217D

but when i start bootlace, then i can read for a very short time:

    Checking

    Compatibility...

and then it closes and i´m back to springboard :'(

I have jailbroken it with whited00r.

  • @marvindingdong only PwnageTool, Redsn0w and Blackra1n are supported

  • @ZeroViruzz hm. okay thx. I think about before I jailbreak again with redsn0w, there are often times hang whited00r

  • sn0wbreeze not supported? why?

  • ooooh i so fucking want that for my ipod touch 4g! when will that come out? will it come in R14?

  • @muh1h1 it will never come out for the ipod touch 4g.

  • @deyvihernandez12 just go to jailbreak me.com on your ipod and it will install it for you. No usb needed!

  • mine worked thx dude

  • it says multi touch cannot be installed on my iphone 2g

  • Does this work on the iPhone 3Gs?

  • it doesnt support ios4.1

  • @dz300 it works on mine

    iphone 3g

  • IPhoneOS is formatted?

  • IPhoneOS is formatted?

  • Comment removed

  • when will it be available for 4G??? :/

  • @Wapalize Maybe once the 4G exists.

  • hm, thanks for the post, how do i actually delete this from my iphone, once i dont want it any more??! thanks for the help.

  • @jonathanvons restoring should work

  • @Popple3 I tried that but it only gives me the option to extract multitouch firmware and reset iDroid user data. Nothing about wifi divers.

  • @popple3

I found that the Samsung galaxy s has power vr In addition to other chips

my question is , would you be able to port the graphics code from the

    android to idroid ?

and does Iphone's cpu run android codes ?

if no , well... its really a miracle what you've done :) .

    thanx

  • @devil4hunt The Samsung Galaxy S has the same GPU as the iPhone 3GS/4, iPod Touch 3/4 and the iPad, however iDroid does not yet exist for these devices. OpeniBoot is currently being ported to iPhone 4 and iPad however, and there is a possibility most of the code from the Galaxy S's kernel may work, but there's no way of telling for sure.

I have done none of the coding on this project, merely testing. The guys in the project love what they're doing. :)

  • bootlace dont jailbreak ps3 iv installed and it dont work,, i have iphone 3g its 4.0 and ps3 3.41

100% dont work, unless im doing something wrong iv tryed a lot of time now,, can someone tell me do i need anything else..?

  • @tommy23i You need to manually upload the PS3 Jailbreak files to /private/var/idroid on your iPhone/iPod Touch. Bootlace may in the future have an option to install iDroid, iX or PSFreedom (or all of them), however there is no confirmation that this will definitely happen

  • @Popple3

thank you for the reply,, where can i get the ps3 jailbreak files..? is there a video on youtube that you can recommend to help us out..?

    thank man,,

also im from cork, "hows it going boy" lol,,

    ^^

  • @sean272005 did you ever get that problem fixed? I can't find anything on the forum for it...

  • I put android on my iPod touch 1g and whenever I try to connect to wifi in android it says "unable to scan for networks". Any sugestions?

  • @mb52787 There was a slight issue with WiFi drivers at one point with Bootlace. Try going to the iDroid tab in Bootlace, and hit the little i in the top corner. You should see an option to install the wifi driver

  • work on 4.2.1?

  • @94Apple Not yet. The manual tools for installation need to be created first, and OpeniBoot needs to be tested and updated for 4.2.1. Then Bootlace compatibility can be done. There's no ETA as to when any of these tasks will be complete

  • @Popple3 thanks for the answer ;)

  • Can i download Apps on iDroid??

  • @attention57 Due to legal reasons, we cannot include Android Market in our images. The only way of installing apps at the moment is manually using adb, or downloading apk files onto the device using it's browser, and installing from there.

  • ipod touch ????

  • @MegaUhuh1 The latest version of Bootlace now supports iPod Touch 1st Gen

  • hopefully they will drop dis for ipod touch 2nd gen

  • @oafgeneralg10 OpeniBoot is currently being ported to iPod Touch 2nd Gen, however a timescale is unavailable. It may take time, as all the developers have jobs, and work on this in their spare time

  • @oafgeneralg10 your black arnt you

  • Why when i try to start it, it ask for a pass code. I don't have a pass code on my iphone..

  • is it possible with ipod touch 2g mc model?

  • @umangjain420 OpeniBoot is currently being ported to the iPod Touch 2G, however no timescale is available. All the developers have jobs, and work on OpeniBoot and iDroid in their spare time

  • @Popple3 Good thing they are not no lifes. I hate no life people.

  • is this possible with iphone 4??

  • can this haz work on iPod touch

  • hey this is a good video but when it says patching the kernel it says that it says old kernel cache could not be backed up or removed what do i have to do i jailbroke the phone with with redsnow b1 and i am on 4.1 so what can i do

  • @sean272005 I'm not quite sure. Your best bet is to ask over on the iDroid forum

Or ask on #iphonelinux on irc.osx86.hu if you use IRC

  • its atlas! :)

  • Dude

I have OpeniBoot on my iPhone but can't start android ??

  • @attention57

    Don't know which redsn0w i use :S

  • @attention57 Have you gone through the install process on the iDroid tab of Bootlace after flashing OpeniBoot?

If you have and you're still having problems, post over on the iDroid forum (link is in video description), and you'll get help there

  • @Popple3 i have forget to download from bootlace the iDroid :D

  • 1 if you interrupted the flashing you would just have to dfu restore, dfu mode is hardware based.

2 you switch os by using the volume rocker

3 if your device won't boot just dfu mode restore.

  • how do i switch between OS?

  • I installed it on my iphone 2g 3.1.2, Android ran fine, when i shut down the phone, and turned it back on, i was at the boot screen but Iphone OS or Android wont even boot now. Crap. Apple boots with the apple logo for about 10 seconds and shuts off, android attempts to boot with what seems a frozen boot, with ANDROID logo flashing on the screen. I hope i didnt just mess up the phone, do I HAVE to restore now, what a mess.. ACK!

  • thanks for reply i know Ireland!!! thats why i asked!! im dublin !!

cool going to gab a 3g to try this out on amazing work!

  • where are you from!!!??????

any rough guide on when ready for iphone 4? :)

  • @rmcnallycartoons I'm from Ireland. It's not a common accent to hear on YouTube :P

iPhone 4 support is a long way away, but OpeniBoot is being worked on at the moment, and once that's done, we can get working on iDroid for iPhone 4

  • HELP ME PLZZZZ!!!!

WHEN I OPEN BOOTLASE THEN IT SAYZZ LIKE KERNAL NOT MATCH...

    HELP ME PLZZ

i jailbroke my device with redsn0w

    iPhone 3G - 4.1

  • @brijeshpatel1234 It's possible you jailbroke with redsn0w 0.9.6b2, which there is an issue with at the moment. If you just run 0.9.6b1 over it, it should sort it. A Bootlace update should be out in the near future with redsn0w 0.9.6b2 support

  • @Popple3 thank u so much

i finally installed it,,,it is bit slow but it works

  • why isnt it downloading openiboot when i click install??!!! it says something like the kernael was patched incorrectly when it said it wqas previously??

  • @eminemd12fan1 It's possible you jailbroke with redsn0w 0.9.6b2, which there is an issue with at the moment. If you just run 0.9.6b1 over it, it should sort it. A Bootlace update should be out in the near future with redsn0w 0.9.6b2 support

  • where do i get the bootlace!?

  • @PlayerHaterBall Add the repo repo.neonkoala.co.uk into Cydia and it'll show up

  • did anybody tested on 3GS??

  • @aadilabbasi This will not work on the 3GS as OpeniBoot has yet to be ported, and won't be for some time, as none of the devs have a device to develop on

  • @aadilabbasi

    its not running on 3GS!

  • I have found that 4.1 even with redsn0w doesn't work for some reason. There is an easy way to downgrade your 3G to 3.1.2 and u can use an old redsnow to jb it then try it all again. That's what I did and it works just fine.

  • @driftka24de It's simple to downgrade, but there shouldn't be any need. You're probably using redsn0w 0.9.6b2. There's a small issue with that version, simply running redsn0w 0.9.6b1 on your iPhone should fix that.

  • @Popple3 yea i was, and after i posted that comment i found out the error in b2. honestly i figured since b2 didnt work that b1 wouldnt either. but honestly, having 3.1.2 on my 3g is a saving grace because 4.1 and the like are slow. running 3.1.2 my 3g is almost as fast as my 3gs on 4.0. so yea your right using b1 works and my way also works.

  • will the sim card be locked in andoid os ?

  • @devil4hunt SIM PIN support is currently not available, but should be fixed for the next release of iDroid. Until then, you must disable SIM PIN in iOS, then reboot into iDroid

  • hello m8, i got on the iboot options..i chose android, and it starts extracting then it stops and nothing happened..how many minutes do i wait? lol

  • @CarloQT Booting can take a while. Have you installed iDroid from the iDroid tab on Bootlace?

  • What are the mains

  • @jorgeperez91 Sorry, that's probably a UK/Ireland word. It means connect to a power socket

  • @Popple3 Any iPhone 4 support coming

  • @henrikroxs It's a long way away, but OpeniBoot is being worked on at the moment, and once that's done, we can get working on iDroid for iPhone 4

  • Okay, I was able to get out of Open iBoot by pressing down the home and lock button until it went blank, then chose iOS. Sadly, no Android for me...

  • @KemeticReign Have you gone through the iDroid installation on the iDroid tab in Bootlace? It could be that the iDroid images aren't on your phone. OpeniBoot installation doesn't install iDroid at the same time.

  • @Popple3 Okay, I got farther after that suggestion, however, now it's repeating this:

    request_suspend_state: wakeup (0->0) at 320426333242

    ENTER: iphone_bb_mute, etc...

Seems hopeless at this point, but I still respect you guys even if it's not quite working out for my device.

  • @KemeticReign That strange... Post over on the forum (link is in the description, YouTube doesn't seem to like me putting the link in here) and you'll be able to get more specific help

  • Gah, now I really did mess this up. I chose iOS...it loads, then it shuts off.

    Sorry for the bother!

  • After I selected Android from the boot list, it does all this white scroll text and stopped at "WELCOME TO OPENIBOOT, WELCOME TO OPENIBOOT", and has been stuck on this for awhile, is this normal for an iPhone 2G that was jailbroken with Blackra1n?

    Assistance needed! Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • It doesn't work on iPod touch 3G 64GB it says Bootlace does not support this device. Can you help me?

  • @RulebrokenGlasses It is currently only compatible with iPhone 2G and 3G, as I said in the video

  • @Popple3 sorry I didn't understand :)

  • awesome, but, when will it be released for iphone 3gs/4g (i got a 4g).

I know it is allready up for 2g/3g ;)

    nice job anyways :D

  • @mapa92 It's a long way off I'm afraid, iPhone 4 OpeniBoot porting is progressing slowly, but nothing has been done for 3GS, as none of the devs have one.

  • @Popple3 aww ok. thanks anyways. But, do you know if there is annyway I can get android on my iPhone 4? (FW 4.1, no SHSHs ;( )

  • @mapa92 OpeniBoot needs to be ported before we can work on iDroid, so at the moment, no. It's a long way away

  • i got the eorror "Your Kernel is not compatible, please jailbreak with redsnow" and my iPhone 3G (4.1) is Jailbroken with redsnow...

  • @xymaps1 There's a problem at the moment with redsn0w 0.9.6b2. If you run 0.9.6b1 over it, it should hopefully work fine then.

Just make sure to do a sync with backup before just in case, but it should be fine.

Failing that, you might need to restore, and then run redsn0w 0.9.6b1

  • @xymaps1 yeah same here..kernel not compatible

same also at redsnow and 4.1 firmware

  • nice one !

  • YOU ROX! =)

    Awesom job man!

Congratulation for all the team of iDroidProject...
