These little "spore" things are really cute! It actually looks like they have some kind of emotions... and that makes them so lovable. I've never heard of the game though...
It's missing a tail, and the belly should be yellow if possible, and you once you get the full version change the beak into a bird's beak. No other criticism here, looks nice.
