Trip Hop is mostly characterized by; the use of Samples, Use of real (acoustic) instruments,the Jazzy feel of the chords and melody lines. And although the beat is a steady HipHip troughout the whole song from 0:42 de beat gets inverted to a much more creative inversion...
Maybe it sounds like hiphop to you, but this whole piece screams creative,and artistic TripHop ...Atleast thats what I think :)
