There where may times throughout the movie where they showed the outside a house an then the inside of another an clothes on a clothes line but didnt bother to mention the fact almost everyone had washer and dryers but hung there clothes outside in the summer so that they didnt heat their house up!!! She could have focused more on the struggle to survive than the nonsense drama. Rory promised everyone who let her use them and their stories in this film a percentage of all profits and has not!!

Here are some facts: Rory Kennedy should be ashamed of her-self for this movie! @awm4151 Both sides of my family are from KY. Clay county and Knox county. My dad left there to go to Detroit for work. He said "all the hillbilies still there don't want to work." that is about 80% correct based on my many trips to the area. Nearly EVERYONE seems to have some sort of problem so they can't work but can "draw a check" from the govt. I hate sorry ass people that waste their lives and my tax money.

There where may times throughout the movie where they showed the outside a house an then the inside of another an clothes on a clothes line but didnt bother to mention the fact almost everyone had washer and dryers but hung there clothes outside in the summer so that they didnt heat their house up!!! She could have focused more on the struggle to survive than the nonsense drama. Rory promised everyone who let her use them and their stories in this film a percentage of all profits and has not!!

The people in this movie are my family! I cant believe that after 6 years their are still people commenting about this movie. Here are some facts: Rory Kennedy should be ashamed of her-self for this movie! She lied to my grandmother and told her that she wanted to tell my grandmothers story of how she lived and raised crops but instead she made us look ignorant and way more poor than what we actually were.
