in 2006 when the colts won the super bowl, indy's defense was bad during the regular season. in the playoffs, they allowed 8 points off 126 total yards by kansas city, 6 points off 244 total yards by baltimore, and 17 points off 265 total yards by the bears. i'll give you the patriots game, they were shredded for 34 points off of 319 yards. other than that game, the defense played extremely well. peyton threw 3 td's vs 7 int's in the playoffs that year. his passer rating was 70.55. hardly elite

first of all, ben's line is awful and was even worse in 2008 than in 2009 and this year was brutal. ben was playing with a slightly separated shoulder for most of the season. we had the toughest schedule in the entire nfl. romo the most underrated? it isn't about numbers. it's about how well you play under pressure. it's about showing up in big games. romo hasn't done either. 1-3 in the playoffs with elite talent all around him. dallas' defense is no slouch plus the weapons he has.

once again, our great defense that "won" the super bowl last year was shredded for over 400 yards of offense and blew a 20-7 lead with just under 3 minutes to go. with the game on the line, ben drove them 88 yards to win the game. one of the all time great game winning drives in super bowl history. and as great as ben's numbers were this season they should have been better. our receivers dropped several passes, including passes in the endzone that were right on the hands.
