  • Fortran as in the programming?

  • wheres the whole thing?

  • I love this game. This video sure brings back memories! I used to play the coin-op one all the time about 25 years ago. Like DKnoel105, I also turned the score over at a million. I still remember that sinking feeling watching it go from 999,999 to 0!

  • You must be a pro at this game!

  • Patterns are inefficient

  • Level 4 is the best I can possibly do. :(

  • You could probably put all four levels in one video. Taking out the superfluous introductions to each level and each sub game tend to come across as superfluous.

At any rate, isn't there supposed to be a BIT that shows up according to the attract mode? Ive never heard of anyone actually finding one.

  • some real nice fan fare... looks like you are doing it on a real game with trigger. looks like u r at std difficulty 5.

my vid response is done with mame and a trackball and keyboard the same week I got my tron cab- last game I'll ever play on mame. Owning the cab is just second to none.

kinda disappointed you didnt milk the points on the cone. Tanks and spiders look good. no bit though.

cycles i do much different. all lefts 2 open on the L wall and bottom wall too, the die faster.

  • Am I the only one who likes Journeys "Only Solutions"? Bring out the logic probe!

  • You fire as fast as you can click and not rigged you just have slow fingers. I have played tron and mastered this game and turned over the score of 1 million. It's pretty much the same pattern throughtout this game. Update I just bought a fully funcational Coin-Op game today and it still brings me back to childhood. Thanks for all the Tron fans out there.

  • At my local arcades, that fire button would have NEVER fired so fast. It was rigged.

  • Yeah, sometimes it seemed really slow at different arcades, but there are no settings or adjustments in the machine. It's a mystery. Although, as you play it never feels like it's firing very fast (especially on the MCP cone!!!)

  • @VoxVid They had difficulty levels. The "Time Machine Ice Cream Shoppe and Arcade" at my hood upped it from level 3 to level 6, then 9. Due to me. Heh. I was a junkie, as I'm sure you were as well. Cobol, Basic, Fortran, Pli, yadda yadda yadda and then USER after 14 or 15 levels? Recognizers on level 5 and 10 of the tank boards, I believe? My top score was 760 something. The owners didn't like it when I played. One quarter went hours...... I need one of these NM with side art...

  • Here's a trick for Level 4 Light Cycles:

Without pressing the fire button, hold the flightstick to the left. That's it!

  • I tried that recently. Crazy!!! It's a bit scary the first try, but it "TOTALLY" works!

  • @VoxVid what hapens when u hold the flight stick to the left

  • Actually one thing I'd point out (but you probably did it to save time) is that you earn more points by shooting as many Gridbugs as possible before time runs out.

What's your high score? Back in the day I could literally get a million, but flash forward to over 20 years later when I played it at a 2004 expo, had forgotten the patterns, and couldn't even break 100,000! :D
