Mainstream Rock music was so diverse back then. Colorful music. Music was dynamic. The video is German. The song is Irish. It isn't rocket science. And the song is about the conflicts in Northern Ireland not about the Easter Rising. It just says that nothing has changed since 1916. It was written after the IRA bombing of Warrington in memory of the 2 lads who died. I live on the Warrington/Manchester border, and both Manchester and Warrington have been victims of IRA attacks. I have both RC & CofE family in NI & ROI and my dad fought in NI even though he's technically Irish :S
