@fatalerror116 lol, its not bling. It looks more like a wedding ring. If he was a bling kinda guy he would have much more than just one ring on one hand on one finger.

@VariationsOnSwing I practice with a metronome and I do end up playing really fast at the end, but I meant that you can play everything in between if you developed your technique gradually.
@VariationsOnSwing nah man i dont wanna start a fight either lol. It was an instructional video. I guess he figured "bah f this.. let's leave it like that"
@VariationsOnSwing Serious? If you opened your mind a little you'd realise that the chromatic runs have a special visual pattern which takes no more than 10 seconds to remember, so all you're supposed to focus on is how cleanly the notes come out. If he was playing in key there would be less of a pattern, as the fingering changes from string to string, which is akin to just learning your favourite song - these are just pure exercises for string skipping.
@JPetrucci744 Exactly! It is about focusing on how "cleanly the notes come out". Completely agree with you there. I just didn't think, at the time of commenting, that ALL of the notes were, in fact, played cleanly when he goes really fast at the end. Watching the video again, I think this guy is actually very good technically. Being as my comments seem to have caused you such offence, i'll just remove them.
Not just exercise, but it's sounds good :)

you have to wear a bunch of rings and stuff on your picking hand, the more jewels you have the faster you can play.
