In England it's a rite of passage for new guitarists to learn Apache while in the States Walk Don't Run is the equivalent.

It might be helpful - but it's wrong. Some of it is not what the Shadows play and there is some really weird fingering and odd positions. I know it's a matter of interpretation but this does not sound goo...

It's not "wrong" so to speak, there are numerous ways of playing everything, that's what makes music music, and each musician different. If everybody played the same style, there would be no variation, and no "easier" version for people to learn.

Also, 1313geoff does say at the start that it's a different version. Though it may not be the original version, it's certainly easier for beginners to learn and expand on. And it can sound just as good depending on the way it's played.
