@W3R3W00F Is it not okay that I watched hancock and found out about this band? Does it make it any cooler or more rewarding if someone finds out about the band by themselves? I'm sure Something led you to find this band. Some source of reference right, that helped you stumble upon this wonderful video. Hancock was my source, whats the deal? lol Hancock FTW!!
@trealboihottie I didn't say it wasn't okay. My comment really wasn't meant to be taken too seriously. If people got here because of Hancock, I won't hate them for it, and that's better than nothing. I'd be annoyed if they only listened to just this one song by Rachel's. It's like, "hey- you found this band; go look for more of their works."
I admit that I don't have all of their albums, nor listened to all of their songs, but that can change yet!
Weirdest thing: I was watching Hancock, and heard this song (never heard the song before). I was like "yeah I gotta listen more post-rock", so I go to the post-rock wiki and read about Rachel's. So I click on Rachel's, and read that I was actually hearing this song by them in the movie. O_O
I can hear the whispered news of a word, I can see the outline of a golden smile that lies between the mountains of the face, and I let a piercing gaze of the abyss, on this border line madeof empty and full, the concept no image. My self became dismembered steam bathes your skin.
Now I take the inevitable need for a lifetime shots and I find myself as a foreign puppet of my world.
@shycadet Oh wonderful, just what we fucking need. An AMAZING peice of instrumental glory molded into an autotuned shitstorm with rap vocals from a no talented fuckface.
@SheBrokeMyWings Many people have been left "wingless", even me, but don't think you won't ever find happiness for you will.
I've had many ups and downs in life but, regardless of the pain, found I ought to myself to go on. Love is always ready to be found and one should always believe in it!
Like I've read before :"Don't make a priority of whom sees you only as an option". Believe me, that same phrase helped me a lot to carry on.. Nowadays, I'm in a better relationship.
never saw hancock :-O, and i never would have fathomed this song would show up in a blockbuster flick, but regardless of wherever you hear it, this song is genius!
never saw hancock :-O, and i never would have fathomed this song would show up in a blockbuster flick, but regardless of wherever you hear it, this song is genius!
Beautiful thing about this.....theres no lyrics, no vocals, nothing that expresses a humans nature and their feelings, but just the through of gracefulness and nature itself.
@Aeileo Hey there. I don't listen any of them. I just got carried away by the message - the best music is what makes Your heart sing and Your soul feel like being In the melody... For an example - by me it's this video here and some lovely works of Ólafur Arnalds. Gotta work out my own poem to explain that, don't I? ;) Greetings.
@Smilegyrl222 I dont like any of those "musicians." (though I cant say I wasn't ever FREAKISHLY obsessed with Green Day as a pre-teen &by Green Day, I mean old school Green Day including 1039/SOSH &Kerplunk) I do however enjoy rock instead of pop/hip-hop.
i could be sooooo pissed off and i would listen to this song and it wouldnt matter anymore. and i listen to a lotta usher and stuff but i can always make room for this song in my heart
@wms72469 wow..thats pretty shocking coming from a musician....I guess that does make you a true musician...you dont care about the profit, just the art. Hope you make it
not wrong for the artists to at least get what they put into it back out, and to earn decent living. it isn't fair that pro sports players make so much money either, but the fact is that people are willing to pay for these services. they are the ultimate decision makers for careers.
@wms72469 You were making a wonderful point and sounds intelligent through the whole thing. Then you decided to throw a few curse words in there and now you just seem stupid and uneducated.
@Unknowntruth84 you nailed it! stupid and uneducated! i guess i really fooled the private school and the new england conservatory and the thousands of students that i've had through the years. please accept my apologies for soiling your eyes, sugarplum ;)
The never ending flow of thoughts streaming from the same source of stress. Worries, sorrows, problems. This song cleanses those thoughts, turns them into affirmations, joys, and answers. This song has never failed to turn me around and face me in the correct direction in life. Thank you Rachel's.
My dad used to smoke, my sister is off and on from smoking, and I have a number of friends who do. Smoking pot is fucking stupid. All it does is make you lazy and paranoid. It exacerbates preexisting psychological conditions, too.
That's only when stupid people use it. If you're artistically inept then yea stay away, but marijuana increases artistic fervor intensely with the right music. A good trap is I get my dumb pothead friends to smoke, then have them listen to Sigur Ros. Leaves them in tears as they realize the beauty of everything. It also makes you love literally everyone. People I hate seem like great people after a smoke. Don't judge based on a few people you know who use it as an escape drug.
