I've played through Okami and every Zelda game, the spirit they share and feelings they evoke are absolutely phenomenal.

I'm saddened that the original developers of Okami (Clover studios) dissolved, but I'm still pretty excited for Okamiden. If nothing else I can't wait to see the world of Okami expanded upon.

@FibonaziProductions If you ever get the chance to play Wind Waker, you really should. WW is one of the BEST Zelda games out there. It's got a very good artistic style that you don't see in other Zelda console games, the soundtrack is great just like Okami's, combat is fast an fun, and it's got one of the best endings of all time in a game. That's why people compare to Okami: they're both just REALLY good games that you can't miss. If you have a Wii, pick up Wind Waker and a GameCube controller.

okami out zelda'd zelda, in my opinion. the game designer said he took influence from that series, but he managed to make it more creative and interesting than zelda has been in a while. sad to see the game skipped by so many people.

Hey, it had its good points (some of the funniest parts in Zelda history, it delivered on the expression, co-op (sorta) dungeons). It coulda been better, but it's a non-CDi Zelda game. They make SURE it didn't SUCK.

Okami is pretty up there, tho. But there's one thing you can do in WW you can't in Okami:

Look like an idiot, balancing a pear on your head, and then control a seagull. XD; (I'm trying to be funny with that, and I fail, I know. Forgive me.)
