  • thank you for sharing this? I enjoyed this greatly! :]

  • Man, your stuff is great! Felt like a guitar lesson watching this video! From a dude straight outta the UK!

  • Son House was the original and influenced Robert Johnson's version which was a good bit different. It was autobiographical for Son to some degree.

    Nice sound to this version.

  • Very nice rendition rev., you really made it your own! keep 'em coming! Peace Tim Pan Alley

  • gonna get to work

  • What a great sound:)

  • Who's this orginally by, Blind Willie? I can't remember where I first heard this, but I've been in love with this song from the beginning.

  • It says it's original.

  • It's credited to both Son House and Robert Johnson, but my favorite version is by a Georgia band called Delta Moon, with Gina Leigh on vocals...

  • Like how you pick up the tempo. Many of the early blues legends did that, building excitement into their music. A young feller with old techniques that few practice or even know about today. Must say I like the sound of the National better.

  • Thanks for the Great insight!

  • Thank God for the Blues.

  • Amen To That!!

  • You totally sound like Son House, awesome, your on my favorite list now.

  • Hypnotic...super cool...blues aint complicated

    Great Stuff!

  • Take note kids....You don't have to grunt or yell like a old man to be deep.

  • this is a throwback to the blues of the 20's and 30's, absolutely fantastic!

  • great rhythem.

  • Thanks KM, from another KM - kickingmule.

    Just Great !

    Peace !

  • Nice Robert Johnson feel going on, but still very original - great stuff

  • Thanks for the great compliment!

  • I made the comment that the trains were a big influence for the blues with their locomotion rythm and all. what do think?

  • Yes! That's Correct!

  • yes sir thats how you do it blues baby, blues!!!

  • Oh yeah dats wat I'm talkin bout...bluz iz it baby.

  • Thanks! There's still some of us let who plays the original stuff! KM

  • very nice. loved it!

  • Thanks Again KM

  • Thank you! Keep on playin !

  • Man, I love the blues. As a white kid, I get looked down a lot when I play the blues. You know, the white boy blues and whatnot. But man, I love the blues more than any other kind of music. And I love hearing it done like this. On a resonator with a slide and the soul singing

  • Saying a white guy can't play the Blues is like saying a black guy can't play Mozart. But, I know what you mean. I love Blues, but I play a lot of old "white" Hillbilly music (the stuff my grandfather loved) and that helps balance it out. Just dont' play the Blues like Clapton, and you'll be alright. Oh... by the way, Mr. Wilent... I play old Harmony guitars, too.

  • Damn... didn't mean to post that TWICE!!!

  • Blues is blues.

    Everybody's got them.

The reasons change as you get older and mature, but it's still the blues. Being picked on as a little kid feels just the same as getting fired from a job.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I love the rythm of your foot tapping.

It's in beat and all, but it has a swank to it in the timing. It's weird to explain.

  • you can't explain soul, baby! 5 stars!

  • and i thought all the real bluesmen were dead, its nice to hear real blues being played, you,ve made my day, keep slidin

  • Thanks for the compliment; there are a few og us still around playing the real deal!
