@Fortenium Yes. Japanese Blue removed the ability for you to exploit any of the select glitches completely because this and localizations disable the flag that says the select button is activated when you close the menu.
I should've noted as well that the many of the Red/Green glitch Pokémon are very different to the English Red/Blue ones. This isn't just the case between the Japanese and English versions but also the French and German versions, etc.
@SnorlaxMonster Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if there are other select glitches which allow you to modify the species directly like this but this was the only one I could find. I'm assuming that you can't safely trade them to other localizations without the game freezing but I'll see if I can find a way.
xD the "Mart" is called "Shop"...

Totally using this when I start playing my Japanese version again. I am assuming this was fixed in Japanese Blue (I also have Japanese Red).

So this glitch means that you can obtain all glitch Pokémon in JP Red/Green? That's really good (unless there is already another way to do so).

what happens if the Pokemon U use a rely big amount of EXP like (4 example) a L:100 Pokemon
pfaccioxx 11 months ago
@pfaccioxx It's managed as the remainder when you divide it by 256. e.g. 1000 experience gives you a glitch Pokémon with index number 232.

@ChickasaurusGL Aaaaa I see, thanks
(by the why have U tried that trick I told U about yet?)
pfaccioxx 11 months ago
@pfaccioxx but its modulo 256 so it's always within 0 and 255.

@NE0MEW Because the show was based off of the game, not the other way around...

Would this work to get Mew?
tdsalmost8 11 months ago
@tdsalmost8 Yes, you just need a Pokémon with a total exp of 21 (or 256+21, 521+21, etc).
ChickasaurusGL 11 months ago
512+21* sorry.
