  • What a wonderful human being you are, never seen anyone like you and I’m glad I find your video; I would have missed the chance to say hello!

I love your courage and what you stand for and I wish you will unite with your family very soon my dear Layla.

    H U G S from my HEART to YOURS!

  • btw wadan means country, in the east-cushitic Somali language of east-African coast

  • Bless this pretty Somalian sista, she is doing something for her wadan.. compared to these other spoiled Dhaqan-celis girls...

  • oooh

  • @zamaronpower that's pretty confusing you're rirght but when you really pay attention she has some somali features

Her mouth is like many somali women

She may not be darod, isaaq, hawiye nor gadabuursi but bantuu u may be right. But i would like to be sure.

Could you fill me in or ask someone you know who's knowledgeable on this topic. Thanks

  • am so sorry layla walalo please forgive me.

  • stay strong sister...i have found many somali people to be very racist in their thinking; they will not accept you just by looking a certain way; how can their country ever grow with this type of attitude? somalis & somalians need to grow the f**k up

  • @maaruz1979 . Mansha'alah walaale, Mahadsanid for your support.

  • Layla you are absolutely out of line by brining qabil into whatever it is that you are doing. what you are doing is UN-Islamic, and down right disgusting. You took upon yourself to drag the noble Mj tribe in the mud by involving them whatever it is that you are doing.

First, i don't think you are Somali. You don't look Somali you are probably Bantu. Leave us mjs a lone and leave our name a lone.

    thanks and good bye

  • @samana1fromsomalia. Guest what my fellow Somali? No one is in need or asking your permission. So take it easy walaal

  • @SomalianLayla

You are poisonous disgusting individuals. Stop crying and looking for sympathy.

Again, you look more like Bantu than Somali.

  • @samana1fromsomalia . Dear Somali fellow, don’t let your ignorance get the best of you. I am here to help my people, not to shame them. An open heart can reach other open hearts. So let us be open to each other without getting angry.

  • @SomalianLayla

And you think you can achieve that through qabil? you are delusional

  • It was an absolute honor to work on this video with Layla. Such a beautiful, inspiring person. May the power of this story spread the globe until her family is reunited with her.

  • @spectekula AMEN..... thanks for your support on this Somalian model and activist called Layla, that cares about her family and people's, back home in Somalia = east-africa's Horn of Africa = Somalian coast

  • cajiib sawaaxiliyad baan moodayay.

  • Somali is one nation, regardless of status, clan, education, and years of disintegration, destruction and death. There is increasing evidence that the Somali people, traumatized and war weary, are ready for peace as the power and prestige of the armed factions continue to decline. We must overcome any obstacles that divide us.

  • @SomalianLayla indeed thats true sis, like you mentioned theres strong signs of our people learning from their past mistakes of enless tribal-clan infighting wars, because sooner or later umada dagaal weey ka barandoonaan qaladkeeda... so yeh people will sooner or later learn from mistakes and endless unbeneficial wars, AMEN

  • @SomalianCushiticMale yes Aboowe macaan, I agree with you soon or later somalis will learn to come together as one. thanks walaal

  • @SomalianLayla

Take your own advise and stop bring qabil into whatever you are doing.

  • I am that struggle. Even if you cant imagine a life like this, I want people to see themselves in my struggle to find peace and happiness.

  • Bless this pretty Somalian sista, she is doing something for her wadan.. compared to these other spoiled Dhaqan-celis girls...

  • @SomalianCushiticMale Thank you my brother, I am so gald to have a fellew somali like you by my side. You Star alone shining! Bless heart

  • Topmodels??? Barly I've never heard off Layla. I've seen Fatima on antm and thought she was from Kenya any in my eyes they are KAFIRS. I pity you don't praise them it's sad.

  • Hi Layla,

Many of us are proud of you and rooting for you! Like you, many of us have left our families behind. It is one of indignities of ruining our country. You'll meet your family one day. Hold your head high and pursue your dreams.

  • @ShabeelDheere. mansha' allah walaale, thank for your encouragement, I will keep my head up for sure.

All of us share this world for but a brief moment in time. The question is whether we spend that time focused on what pushes us apart, or whether we commit ourselves to an effort a sustained effort to find common ground, to focus on the future we seek for our children, and to respect the dignity of all human beings.

  • Layla are you muslim or not

  • Comment removed

  • Layla stop embarassing the somali community. you are not somali and you will never be somali.Shut your mouth bitch.

  • @nimcocali you are ignorant and I don't need your permission to be Somali

  • @nimcocali Nimco, I think all Somalis can easily tell that she's not ethnic Somali, she's Bantu but she's been born and raised in Somalia, she speaks Somali, she has memories of it and her family is probably there, so as far as I'm concerned, she's Somali - maybe not by blood but it's her country too.

  • @yehyeh22 •Thanks for your explanations, but I am Somali, and my qabiil is Majeerten Cali-selaaban.

•Regardless of what qabiil you are, I believe Somali is Somali

  • @SomalianLayla

Abaayo gacaliso.. ignore these Jelous little boys and girls... when they insult you, they just seeking for attention.. and they dont even know they are showing their Jelousy.. hehe Maseer baa haayo... btw Qabiil should be dead by know, i am Majerteen-Cali'Jibrahiil.. but you dont hear me showing of, because i am a Wadani. i love all my Somalian peoples and my part of Africa-Geeska Afrika...

  • Nayaa you telling me somali ban ahay sidan maxaa kuu galay tell me. naga astur body gaga la modo dameerka uuf

  • @nimcocali Why are you wasting your time with nonsense? You are an idiot. You have done nothing to help your people. Instead, you are acting like you are dumb

  • I love you too, thank you for your complement. I believe with love, we can overcome any obstacles):)

  • Racial justice is impossible to achieve when the law fails to reflect the actual experiences of communities who have seen and felt discrimination.

  • The majority of the Somali people are innocent women, children, elders, and men who are at the mercy of warlords and do not want to live under such chaos. They are living in fear among men who have no fear, young men who only grew up seeing war.

  • it is my personal experiences that will allow me to make a huge difference in many lives. I am an inspiration, an example of perseverance. I will raise awareness of the situation of the people still living in my homeland and I will be an inspiration that will change their lives forever. I know my people do not have the opportunities that we do in this country, for education, freedom to choose, and you live. to say what?

  • Sweet heart, what do you think I am doing? please let us stop the bitterness. Though "Bitterness" may, in some instances, stand alone as a definable condition, most likely it's linked to a larger illness or dysfunction. Somalia has been torn apart by civil war for nearly two decades. Several attempts at finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict have unravelled, leaving the country without a functioning central administration for well over a decade.

  • I would like to discuss who I am and my experience of Somalia. As a Somali refugee now living in Maui, and the daughter of powerful Tribal Chief and doctor to the our last president of Somalia. I wrote a book with Layla Revis a writer from LA who read your story in the Maui News 3. Agents and filmmakers are currently reviewing the material and showing very positive interest and now getting much interest from book agents and Hollywood talent 4. I hope to shed light on the horrors of Somalia

  • Leave the girl along, she is speaking from her heart. In addition, Islam does not criticize it gives advice. you need to get educated your self.

  • Thank you for your understanding. I am the human being I feel the pain I feel the boredom I feel the grief I feel the desperation I feel the death The horror of what I have seen is NO different to The horror The terror, The pain, The torture, The fear, The screams The conscious suffering of all my people. We must do something about it.
  • I cry inside for these families and children...I am but one person, with a big heart for the child, any child, no matter where they may be...I want to help!

  • I am a part of all that I have seen. If the doors of perception were cleansed

everything would appear to man as it is, infinite

  • You cannot change the past,

The best is yet to come, The present is now,

Focus and work on the present,

Success will follow in the future,

    Change is wonderful,

    Do not fear change.

    Change is wonderful,

Today is the beginning to a new destiny,

  • yes layla is telling the true,,,, god can save SOMALIA

  • I understand the why

    Yet I cannot grasp the how;

But if this is the way you must handle us

I will try to understand somehow.I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE

    ON THAT COLD, DARK NIGHT,

    THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOUR

    SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

  • what u mean be proud of her.for one she is the ugliest creature i have ever seen.i thought hyenas were ugly but man is she ugly.

she is showing a negative image of somalia to the rest of the world.

  • Comment removed

  • @muungano432 fool it is not her that is ugly it is your ugly attitude. you people need to give up the racism so that your country can heal..it will not heal from hate; hate is the cancer that is tearing it apart. REPENT YOUR WICKED WAYS & YOUR RACIST MENTALITY...or continue to be the children of hitler

  • do u even know how u are. am just disguisted looking at u ... uf

  • Whoever loves God should love His messenger, Muhammad, his own spiritual teacher and his own life food and drink women silver and gold Heaven and Earth A lover loves the handwriting and every action of the Beloved. All the creatures are His handicraft and action. Loving them for the sake of following His love is no polytheism.
  • To you all: Layla said "If I do not get up and dance the savages will win", you savages are not even capable to hold a civilised debate with her; you are hitting the bushes really because you are not paying attention to her input to YourTube. You are all failing to understand her issues by far. I am done here,,,, Uff.

  • Thank you so much for your understanding and your encourage.Freedom now, freedom now

    Freedom, dignity and justice now.

Say you cant let us have it?

    That mule wont plow,

We shouldve long had our freedom by now.

Well, we aint gonna stand and wait,

While you wave your switch and dangle your bait,

And plot to divide us up with hate,

Were in the gate, ready to race,

And were gonna stampede, not hesitate.

  • In our prophecies, it is told that we are now at the crossroads: either unite spiritually as a global nation, or be faced with chaos, disaster, disease and tears from our relatives' eyes.

In times of disasters, it is sad to say that it is the only time that we unite spiritually

  • This girl runs for love, you should be proud of her.

  • O'Yeah, and that is your contribution to the public sucking my d=*ick in here? you do not deserve a reply. F**K you monkey head.

  • I know some ignorant people and they are never bliss. They are always in a state of panic because they never know whats going on.

I suppose that has something to do with being stupid also.

  • Peace is something the world should share

Its all about loving, we dare you to care! The condition of the heart can alter the perspective of a person.

The condition of the hearts of a nation can alter the state of mankind—PEACE

  • Life is very different now. I am a professional model living in Maui, and have recently signed a contract for both a book (World of Pain working title) and movie deal to help tell my inspiring story. I can only hope that, once it reaches the masses, that it can expose the urgency needed in East Africa and show others what life has shown me that even on the darkest of nights, dawn will emerge if you are patient and determined.

  • Inta Khayli dhuugyaha cas iyo, dheeh wiyil ah qaatay.

  • When need denied again - Ka sii dayey meel la dayey I searched once more where others failed - maxay doqonimmo I tidhi when imbecility whispered to me - Ruuxaan jirin raad ku doon Track down a spectre - Intaan isku duubay been I embraced falsehood - ka buuxsaday labada dacal Stuffing it in my inside pockets - maxay runi daadi tidhi then the truth assured me to discard it - waxaan duluc sii ridnayn
  • Happiness and success come with persistence and hard work. You must have a goal and work hard. Follow your hearts to true happiness. You must have a destination, a goal and a plan. You are special. You can be anything you want tobe. It is your turn to love yourself. The poems in this book will give you the faith, hope, courage and strength to be happy and love life. If you cannot find happiness in the present, you will never find it in the future.

  • tan waxaa marqaati ka ah in ay somali ahaeen xishood la,aanta naamaxaa ku qaawiyey foolxumo iyo qaawanaansho uf

  • you take matters into your own. come to think about it ignorance won't leave you alone. your time on earth is limited. is there a need to spend it in hatred? you have a chance to hold eternity in your hands. to every race this is sacred. no need to look any further. your questions are too deep. no need to continue hatred if all you do is weep.

  • Hope is folding paper cranes even when your hand cramped and your eyes tired, working past blisters and paper cuts, simmply beacuse something in me insists on opening its wings. If i do not get up and dance the savages will win.

  • Is she a Somali Bantu?

  • And you are what? Somali Kunkuuuu? you are sick in head. People like you devide us far apart because of your wicked thinking. You made me vomit.

  • Good, now eat your vomit vermin!

  • xamdiyeeto;

qofkii is asturaa o khaaliqii abuuray wuxuu amray sameeya, waxaad u taqaan in uu fool yahay, walee waxaa jahli fool ah naagta qaawani u malaysa ilbaxnimo, waxaa ka daran tan ku difaacaysa ayada waxaa qaawuay jahli & gaalo ku dayashee adi maxaad ku difaacaysaa, walaashaa hadaad ka naxaysid sida isku dhaam dheh khalad walaalkaa lagumo difaaco,, Ilaahay xaqa hana waa fajiyo,,,

waxaad soo qoraysid ka fakir ilaahay wuu ku xisaabin,, hadalkayga khalad ha ufahmin take it as advice

  • Xamdiyeeto, I think you are mistaken. Judging people is an act of infamy, so keep your advices to yourself. By the way, Wearing hijab or Jilab/Khamis whatever, does not mean you are closer to heaven than the rest of the girls.

  • Is this girl muslim she doen't looked if she is naa fear Allah & cover yourself,

Naagahaan markay qurbaha yimaadaan oo ilbaxnimo u haysta in la is qaawiyo,,ogaada jahliyiinta u gu waawyn aa tihiin. (Do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance)surah Ahzab:33)

  • "...pompous fools drive me up the wall. Ordinary fools are all right; you can talk to them, and try to help them out. But pompous fools - guys who are fools and are covering it all over and impressing people as to how wonderful they are with all this hocus pocus - THAT, I CANNOT STAND! An ordinary fool isn't a faker; an honest fool is all right. But a dishonest fool is terrible!"

  • Rumaysa144, you may be fat and overweight. It is not open for you to preach others with your dress code. Why you mean display yourself, I see a beautiful woman keeping fit, nice strong legs and healthy gorgeous body. Go and dress yourself with a tent, that is your choice who cares.

  • Thank you my Somalian sister.I hope a greater number of people will have a better understanding of the suffering of this aching nation.amazing, how one moment we can be
