On the other hand, SO and Abhazia needs to be recognized by Russia and Russia alone because it is enough. SO and Abhazia are asking for Russian troops/bases to be in the region for protection against Georgia. If Russia has troops in those regions, no one can force them to be a part of a country they were attacked by. It is pretty much done already.
The deployment of an international contingent to Georgia is a wise move, but might be difficult when and if such occurs (as the remilitarization of Georgia could mean the contingent will wind up in the crossfire of a possible future offensive by the Cheney/Bush/Saakashvili forces). Time will tell.
