  • i made wtf

  • I made the pushing block thing (5:00) but with two blocks, I found that harder.

  • i feel bad for you....you cant see all the annotations on an iphone, ipad,or ipod touch!!

  • this gave me a boner....

  • I'm not very familiar with the whole pistons redstone stuff, butt couldnt you make a word strip(those lit signs with "moving words" all over N.Y.) with the giant thing?

  • @Retinetin Yes you could. A few people already did this.

  • @Padarom OHHHH!! Are there videos? if so tell me!!

  • @Retinetin Minecraftpg5 made one for example. (watch?v=3rmyA0o5c4A) - This is a version with new redstone lamps. But there are enough other (older) videos with pistons and/or redstone torches. Just search for it ;)

  • @Padarom REDSTONE LAMPS!! hmmm.... i wonder what notch is doing with his lamps? I hope hes using redstone though. THANKS!!

  • The "piston transistor"s are just a more resource using AND gate. You didn't make anything special.

  • SO? Sethbling uses minecarts in his circuts.

  • wow 16 bits per second

  • Does solid blocks still conducts redstone charges?

  • @adliikhwan280 In a way, yes, except for glass and glowstone.

  • 4:50 I call that the meat grinder.

  • Comment removed

  • i cant make this u never give a clear view im having some real trouble

  • /XBSOb6BAG48

  • made this but with note blocks receiving the data know all i need to learn is music and i can make a song :)

  • wait, did I just read "20% cooler"? is that just coincidence, or??

  • you can make counters with the grand finale.

  • meh

  • PBM array could be used like a old fashion electric piano, just add noteblocks

  • Redstone for dummies? :D

  • this is really great work, nice video man :) now i think i got a bit closer behind the mystery of redstone :PPP HAHAHA :D

  • at 9:07 you can see a helmet and a skull

  • dude the things u call "piston transmittors" are just fucking AND gates, they dont transmit

  • At 1:25 how is that torch not burning out!?

  • @poef10 you could hook it up to a display of some sort and make a compact piston clock out of it. thats what im currently working on

  • This happens when smart ppl meet Minecraft O_o

  • Ok, your PBM at the end is awesome! But what can it be used for?

  • @poef10

    Make music!!!!

  • @ejoman3002 Hey yeah! That's a good idea! Make music loops! I'm going to try that! Do you know some more things it can be used for?

  • @poef10 We made a piano using a 26x26 PBM :X Connect the outputs to noteblocks and a piano-looklike and it works like a charm~

  • that would require one big ass decoder

  • at 8:45 i was like dododododododododo sub....scribe

  • 6:05 and that is how minecraft elevators work :)

  • Finally, someone puts up many types of redstone circuits, and how they work, diamond and like for you :)

  • use spong on a stickey piston to trigger a 5x5x5 block update around the sponge

  • I love how minecraft has so many different ways to play... :P!

  • new video pleas

  • Anyone notice remix this video button?

  • @Qerintos I kinda figured that out, I did some experimenting with it after I commented :)

  • Its lame how you gave them names.

  • @Zenxax How is it lame? It helps to explain the circutry and it makes it less confusing.

  • The PBM Array could be used for making noteblock songs simply from output ^^ it would hace to be further apart, but it is a great concept

  • @awesomefriends56x2 They wouldn't, just put the noteblocks directly behind the output repeaters

  • FUCKING BADASS! I've always had an this concept in my head, but never really knew how I could use it. You gave me so many ideas. :)

  • FVDisco brought me here, but its still cool!

  • hmm.....i reckon you could make a eeprom (or "reprom") pretty simply out of that..well that's my weekend sorted

  • I <3 Disco :***

  • I remember when people used to make dirt houses.

  • I can only imagine a music box, but that would still be cool.

  • FVDisco brought me here

  • make a engine

  • nice shob. emhh, @FVDisco on his piano, has a similar use of the array.

and its fully configurable ._. my head realy hurts hahaha

  • This video just got 20% Cooler 4:32

  • 4:32 MLP reference... I've been here too long...

  • My....Brain....HURTS...

  • Disco liked it :D

  • This is very impressive and good job, but is the actual application of the array in Minecraft?

  • I have a question - I tried to do the piston based clock generator and it doesn't work for the shortest impulse (the sticky piston seems to behave like a normal piston does not draw back the block attached). Does this have anything to do with the permanent updates or am i just dumb at some point? And yes, i tried different materials (xept glass, obviously)

  • that seems like to much for a server or even single player to handle

  • someone knows redstone a little to much

  • You shoud build a computer!

  • Wow, new ideas I've never thought of! Cool

  • i just got bored of minecraft but now i think i'm going to play much more ;D

  • at the end i was like dafuq is that? and then HOLY SHIT NO YOU DIDNT

  • You should should check out ohmgane3sha's channel! He uses these designs to make some pretty awesome contraptions!

  • That thing at the end, the big machine, was that a 16bit wide memory array?

  • HELP! im using stick piston but it wont stick and do the repeating style

  • @1PROvsPRO1 I'm having the same problem for the fastest speed. The other 3 seem to work just fine.

  • @DigitalMasacrer yeah i found that out after on i wonder

  • 4:35 "20% cooler...."

    /)

  • its funny how the comment about disco gets less thumbs up than the comment by disco

  • you need to make tutorials and actually TALK in the videos!!! which is better so slow readers don't have to pause the video all the time

  • rly greate made and prepaired tutorial!

  • 0:42 to 1:06 = AND gate = more compact

  • @lalandleah

    1) Those were IMPLIES-Gates --'

    2) The video isn't about being the most compact or fastest gate, but about the new possibilities that pistons offer.

  • Make a cool note-block song with the PBM array! please!

  • It doesnt work through wool for me :(

  • Kimundi2 This video is great but if you explained everything it would be gold! It would be easier to understand

  • MORE VIDEOS WE WANT

  • 8:50 TETRIS

  • a few months ago I didn't understand much about the last contraption, but now I understand every block of it, and I hope I use it in some custom map or somth! thanks ;)

  • I CAN DO THAT TOO! Hold my beer for a sec

  • Genius

  • Does it work on 1.0.0?

  • @TheTimmiboy98 yes!

  • i build a redstone powered door today :D

  • disco brought me here

  • haha i made that before u :d and i combinated it with noteblocks so i played a song on it :D

  • too bad it doesnt work for me D:

  • Too bad the redstone master position is taken...

  • You have one video and 383 subscribers...

  • @MMMIK13 because his videos are useful

  • @WattoDtK Video, not videos

  • Makes it about 20% Cooler... now where do i remeber that from..?

Oh yeah! Nice MLP reference bud!

  • connect the "pBMemory" to a loop delay, and it can multiply it. Convenient for long delays.

  • The failed circuit at 2:50 as a simple solution : link the frist piston to the second with a delay.

  • The transistor is and AND gate.

  • Now disco get some inspiration, I wonder what he gonna make :)

  • epic

  • 5:43 ... I checked my windows XP.

  • I love you :D

  • what could a pulser be used for??

  • @MrThrowPillow consistent pushing from a piston for me, I use a similar clock for my pistons to push a line of cobblestone out of a cobble generator so I can push a large array of blocks. In my most recent tnt cannon, I've added a snaking pattern of TNT that will always be consistently pushed through like an ammo clip by the cobble that gets pushed. Pulsers are also really good for note block melodies that can even be placed under your house like doorbells or just ambiance.

  • @MrThrowPillow or the memory pulser is usually used for a wider array of things, like if you hooked all of the outputs of his array up to a pistonbase behind a wool wall you could make a counter, or the even more ambitious devices like digital clock displays :D

  • Nice work! Why on earth would someone dislike this?

  • WOW! after this video i have to start to make redstone creations again o_o!!!

  • didn't you release this vid a long time ago?

  • Subscribe, Like, Favorite, Share! Done <3 it!

  • 0:53 or just use an and gate...

  • @lightningchicken12 That's not quite an AND gate, it's more of just a signal interrupter. Nonetheless it's about using pistons which even though it would never honestly be practical as it uses more resources and computer power to use it for such a thing, "It's about 20% cooler" :D

  • @9:05 its like those music players with the cylinder that you turn and the bumps play notes

  • @carrollman12 yes that seems to be the PBM arrays most obvious use. some one with a lot of talent could compose bit music for their server with this away from the actual PBM.. simple things but i would like to see mario music. Kimundi? have you done anything like that yet?

  • Men that pulser gave me great ideas! I am a bit new in redstone but I know about it, so thank you for the pulser! I never tought I can make that to sent fast pulses and controle the speed of the pulse, thanks to this video I will ot need to make a huge redstone thing to do the same you can do with pistons

  • Kidmundi2 I already discovered this myself way back in 1.7

  • @MrCoolbeansSW this was a few days after 1.7 came out

  • the pbm array would be great for short songs

  • FVDisco sent me.

  • the thing on 3:30 i build it smaler just a torch at the wall anda on this block this tricker, so you have a tow side tricker one is active one not

  • I am bad at wiring of this level and skill, but it looks to me like that could work for making an awesome musical box.

  • 49 people don't know what game this is!

  • What mods did you use?

  • @kevinsg99 singleplayer commands ( which also has world edit in now, world is the use of the wodden pickaxe)

    link here : minecraftforum(dot)net/topic/94310-100-single-player-commands-v301/

  • FVDisco you hero.

  • I came here cauz of disco :P

  • @Doombob123 100 liker it was me :33

  • @Doombob123 same

    thumb /\ from me

  • @Doombob123 me two its good

  • Repeaters had more of an effect on redstone circuitry.

  • i got lost at 0:03

  • OCDisco xD :P

  • Common, lets get 2 stacks on FATALLICxVENOMx!! One more like!

  • Ja się pytam kurwa gdzie są polacy.

  • @AraGeSxMetin2

    Pewnie śpią ;)

  • This video inspired me to start making redstone contraptions :) Thanks Kimundi2

  • @FVDisco i have seen your videos on your redstone contraptions and they r just epic

  • 126 people liked the top comment

that is almost 2 stacks :D

  • pf this is genius this would make the MC computers much smaller rly good idea i never thought about using piston based memory

  • Both top comments are about stacks of people.

That's kind of 2 top comments about stacks of people-

  • You said 20% cooler. Are you a Brony?

  • where I should put the schematics??

  • This is freakin' cool. Lots of possibilities open up for redstone use.

Problem is that, as you made clear in the clip, piston noise its unbearable. Wish there was a "silent piston" block, would make all this much more useful if you don't want to end with bleeding ears :)

  • Nice Demonstration

  • 0:11

  • 0:2

  • i meant wat u can do with them

  • With the PBM Array, you could make a player piano :o

  • Lol 2 top comments are same I LOVE IT :P

  • The cTransistor reminds me of a multiplexer.

  • Are the compass and clock mods part of singleplayer commands?

  • Comment removed

  • i like how the video is about how pistons can seriously effect redstone circuitry, and the top comments are about stacks...

  • 20% cooler? brohoof.

  • The piston transistor is a D-Flip-Flop.

  • Lets get the top comment get 111 likes, then we have an infinite amount of people?

  • Well the top comment got 96 likes thats above 64.

    Thats a mod for stacking

  • congrats.you just made a simple game like minecraft harder than FUCKING ENGINEERING!

  • But will it blend thats the question

  • @idontsuckYAY if you find blender big neough then yes

  • it would be cool to change it and put noteblocks and tune them to make a musicbox

  • 11:21

That it still works with a short pulse should have been obvious to anyone that uses redstone.

  • who else went through the whole video without understanding a word that this guy was saying?

  • 71 people liked the comment. thats a stack with some overflowing. Kinda like a hooter girl

  • 20% cooler? i didn't know rainbow dash played minecraft

  • 20% percent cooler... is it what i think it is?

  • ur finale can be used for so many things, just im too stupid with redstone to do something with it

  • ...I figured this was common knowledge. Just saying.

  • This is F***ing insane. You are so awesome to have figured this out, and now I admire you!

  • Great, now set up some note blocks on the output and make us a song

  • 4:36 I see what you did there, Dashie.
