  • @purplepenguin48 How the hell am I hating??? I'm saying I love this film you idiot, and that it deserves more attention! Actually read a comment before you go start arguments on the internet you stupid queen.

  • i mean malbo22

  • thumbs up if u think that mambo22 is wrong that howls moving castle is the most underrated film ever.

  • Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away are by far the best two Ghibli films. The plots/themes are the best.

  • I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE THINKS!! But to me this is truly the best movie that Ghibli Studios has ever made!

    dont hate on it :(

  • i wonder why this movie was so underated =( its one of the best in my opinion.

  • @mayo9al7a

Sorry, would have to disagree with you there. :/ Its a good film but My neighbor Totoro, Spirited away etc. are just so awsome

  • This is amazing, sounds exactly like the recording :) I wish we played this at my high school! <3 HMC

  • Where's the 'Freakin' loved it!' button when I need it?

  • awesome movie one of my favo and princess mononoke dam !

  • I feel like being in a dream when i listen to this... It hits the heart right in the core... this is pure magic.

  • why does this sound diffferent than Joe Hisaishi's performance?

  • @swchoi89 Probably because this isn't Joe Hisaishi's performance.

  • 38 people are so dead to me it's not even funny. Who ever disliked this video has no soul.

  • @samwelkertv they must be ginger.

  • Beautiful movie, beautiful music.

  • Having heard a lot of music, it is really hard to say what's the greatest ever... but I don't ever recall watching YouTube with my hairs standing and falling and the blood cells inside me moving around to the music... nor do I recall verbally muttering "wow" at the sound of music like I did over the last 6.5 minutes.

    Wow, just wow.

  • so cool think im crying

  • omg

  • God I wish I was there so badly!!!!!!!!! its my fav song from the whole sound track. they played amazing by the way!

  • Dayummm play those instruments I am loving it I love the music in this movie.

  • I Love Joe Hisaishi!!!

  • no words to experience this feeling !

  • hey guys, please, look for my new video of Howl's Moving Castle Theme.. thanks!

    /watch?v=UudaGM2lqtA

  • damn, went to their website and they don't sell this album on their website anymore!!

  • @gracielou112 you can get it on itunes still

  • The Person Who Dislikes The Video Was Trying To Say Dis I Like

  • the soloists (especially the trumpet) could've used more vibrato, but aside that, tear jerking for sure.

  • This is great.

  • All of studio ghibli films will be added to studioghiblifilms(dot)com

Check it out. I am currently in the process of uploading all the films.

  • Love the trupet solo in the beginning

Love the oboe solo at 1:40

Love the flute solo at 2:17

    love.........TO HECK WITH IT!!!

    I LOVE IT ALL

  • I'm kinda weirded out by the conductor. O.o He doesn't seem to be with the symphony in many places, but... Gogo trumpet soloist! X3

  • Isn't it called "The boy who drank stars?"

  • God damn this is amazing!!! Fuck techno!

  • i´m in love with the guy with glasses

  • I'm gonna cry....such a good song

but I think they should focus in the flute or that instrument in 4:30

    anyway...is a masterpiece

  • Where's the second top rated comment?

  • @hanerdaloser Quite a few people have asked the same question. :) "The Boy Who Accepted the Star" is slightly different, but includes the Cave of Mind music, and at the same time is from the Original Soundtrack. Cave of Mind is actually not in the original soundtrack, but rather the Image Soundtrack or whatever it's called, I forget.

It's from so long ago, I could be slightly wrong, but I think that's what it is.

  • @kourikage Sorry, but I think you are mistaken. Yes, the pieces are similar, but "Cave of Mind" has the trumpet solo in the middle, while "The Boy Who Accepted the Star" has the trumpet right in the opening, as in the video. Thank you for posting this beauty, though. :)

  • can some1 put up david poore the rain or archeives of the dead

  • im not suprised that there are dislikes... cuz we live in a world where beauty like this is looked down upon. But im not suprised theres so many likes cuz no matter how ugly the world and seem, there's still great beauty in it

  • breathtaking !

  • This interpretation seems just a little bit too slow for me. But it's still very good. And this is probably my favorite part of Howl's Moving Castle soundtrack.

  • i <3 Howl!

  • the story is just wonderful and so are the music written by joe hisaishi. together, the film is just perfect. whenever listening to his music, its just so woah, stir a lot of feelings in my heart. and its like, just too wonderful for words. I cannot describe it any better.

  • wow how original......wooow!!!

  • I just imagine what the musicians are feeling... The feeling of sitting in front of an audience and play truly beautiful, honest music like that.... It's a drug like none other!

  • eminence orchestra...do they always play songs from animes?

  • 36 people must have severly damaged hearing to dislike this piece. I love this film, i love this scene & i LOVE this music. Magical!!!

  • Why don't these concerts ever happen in the US??? :( :(

  • @xAngelWingsxx cuz we're too busy demanding lil wayne, wiz kalifshit, lady gaga, and justin beiber instead of this >.>

  • wow so beautiful!!

  • Most underrated film of the entire Studio Ghibli Collection. Period.

  • @Malbo22 It's easily their weakest film.

  • @oloompop hHowl's Moving Castle???? Its brillinat

  • @oloompop You take that back!! Haha :P

  • @Holdefer27 Music is great, animation is awesome, the movie sucks.

  • @Malbo22 Y u hating huh!?!?

  • @purplepenguin48 @Malbo22 purplepenuin48, you sir, is an idiot.

  • Chills all down my back at the trumpets clarity as it rings out 3:15

  • Chills all down my back at the trumpets clarity as it rings out 1:35

  • Find me in the future. (Sophie)

  • A certain 35 people will NEVER come to my house for afternoon tea >.>

    Shameful!

  • @TheAmethystSkies Don't say I blame you. (Chuckles)

  • @TheAmethystSkies you might need to add 3 more to the list

  • @jasmine0813 Sophie and Heen, lol, my poor english!...it's much better the proper way thanks :)

  • gosh the trumpet solo gives me goose bumps...D:

    i love hisaishi jo<3

im proud of being the same nationality as him :)

  • at 0:42 I started tearing up, at 0:49 it was to late to stop the tears

  • - HOWL! CALCIFER! IT'S ME SOFIE, I KNOW HOW TO HELP YOU NOW! FIND ME IN THE FUTURE...

    - Im sorry Ian, im trying to hurry, but i just cant stop crying

  • This reminds me more of spirited away than howl's moving castle...

  • 3:45 equals an EARGASM

  • the best part is the trumpet solo in the beginning

  • Um, what part of the movie is this from?

  • 35 trolls... tisk tisk.

  • "howl no!"

  • fanficbug Yes, thank you. I figured that out a few moments after posting:-)

  • what concert is ?? O.o

  • Pardon my ignorance, but are these students attending a regional competition? This is amazing.

  • @belle12071937 This is a professional symphony orchestra, not an academic ensemble. Hope that clears things up. :)

  • sounds amazing... love the movie too

  • wonderfully performed

  • makes me shiver every time

  • not to be a buzz kill but do u idots who make thos "blah # of people who disliked are blah" relize how unoriginal and gay it is? literaly half the coments on this page are those...

  • @apple1231230 Although calling something 'gay' as an insult is really so much better ...

  • After listening to this, I'm about ready to force my band teacher to let us play this. We don't have any string instruments in our high school band, but I still think we could pull it off. It would be much better than playing some pop song that everyone would recognize.

  • By 2:18 I'm pretending to hold a star in my hand, and swallowing it like how Howl does when he firsts meets Calcifer.. I'm not weird!

  • 35 people got burned by Calcifer!

  • The name of this song isn´t "The Boy Who Accepted The Star"?....because I have the soundtrack of this movie......and the name that appears on the vid is "Cave of Mind"....and that is a much shorter version........hahaha i´m not sure...but anyway....this song is great <3

  • Shame Stick to 35 people!

  • 35 people have about as much musical appreciation as my coffee table.

  • im flying to the sky by just listen to this...

  • Amazing trumpet player and amazing symphonic Orchestra

  • 34 ppl have no souls!

  • @Erniethecatisawesom 34 people were turned into wrinkly old ladies by the Wicked Witch of the Waist.

  • Howl i love you ^ ^

  • This vid shouldn't have a dislike button.

  • They played this a little too slow, but it's still lovely! :)

  • This is the best song ever! :D

  • The score of the Ghibli's music are published, so the any pieces of Ghibli could be played anywhere in the world. That's how they performed, I assume. Many arranges here and there, too. Even I had played few of them with the string ensemble on the very personal stages.

  • @PeterSanCb : additional Information: The original soundtrack was recorded by New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Joe Hisaishi with Miroslav Kejmarwith, trumpeter, in Japan. But this trumpeter is really nice!

  • This part is where Sophie goes into Howl's past, when he first met Calcifer, isn't it? Beautiful theme, perfectly played.

  • Is this the ORIGINAL soundtrack from the Japanese movie? Why does it say it''s from Sydney, Australia????

  • @princessthyemis It's probably where they filmed this. Maybe not the original soundtrack though. Who's to say that Miyzaki didn't go out of country for his symphony work for his movies?

  • @princessthyemis This isn't the recording for the original soundtrack, rather it was played at an anime and games concert in Sydney :)

  • @kourikage do they have this concert every year? maybe one day i'll visit :)

  • @princessthyemis Because it wasn't played in japan. Most of the scores of Miyazaki movies, Howl's Moving Castle included, are performed by the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra; All are composed by Joe Hisaishi.

  • I love 1:11

  • CHILS<3

i loveeeee love love miyazaki and howls moving castle is my favorite movie of his

    this is wonderful ^.^

  • yup, read the book. im an avid dwj fan. its different yet both are good.

  • Did anyone actually read the book too? Watching the film actually was the reason I started reading Dianne Wynne Jones in the first place.

  • THANK YOU ITUNES!!!

  • my god, this music is absolutely heartwrenching. beautiful with the movie and without.

  • Nice!, this one was a goodie.

  • Truly Beautiful

    Verdaderamente Hermoso

  • I just got howls moving castle for my birthday, i love the movie so much, and this song is just so beautiful i have to make a video for it! :)

  • WOW!!!!......the trumpetist is really good....and the whole band is also GREAT!!! im almost crying...what a touching song!!

  • Wow~ what a great trumpet player! What a great band!

  • Omg breathtaking :O i near died off XD so pretty

  • Miyazaki! I will be watching you!

(ravens engulf) Miyazaki: huh? the only thing left is his giant sub machine gun and the level 6 key card I'll just take the card and move along...

anyone else question why!? in MGS 1 snake left without V raven's gun. He coulda tore Liquid a new one I'd say!

  • this song is so epic, its just amazing.

  • Haunting . . .

  • fuck the 33 people that gave it a thumbs down. (unless you miss clicked) but its an awesome orchestra. love it to death.

  • where can i get this awsome some song along with all the others you've played?

if i could i would ive you guys 1million stars

  • @AnimeNekoDemon the howl's moving castle songs are from joe hisaishi's "howl's moving castle image album" or from the movie's OST

  • i hope this isnt gay of me for saying this but HOWLS MOVING CASTLE MADE ME CRY TWICE

  • Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle are the best anime films ever made, We should thank Ghibli and especially who made it Hayao Miyazaki.

  • I keep picturing my favorite scene and line...

When Sophie is traveling through the dark emptiness, in between the present and Howl's past, and tears are floating around her and when the dog peers back to look at her, she apologizes saying...

"Sorry but I can't seem to stop crying,"

I love that line because by that part in the movie I was totally tearing up and glued to my t.v. holding my breath

  • @MayJay836 i know, this movie is great, it draw out your deepest burried fealings, to all of u who cryed with this movie, you are not alone :)

  • @MayJay836 i aso cried in this movie, you are not alone :)

  • These scenes are running through my head as I listen to it

    So beautiful I'm crying...

  • Love this song! They played it so well! 5/5 for them!

  • my favorite part is from 1:07 to 1:20

  • @betrekwoman For me, it's 0:00 to 1:20. Beautifully devastating and sublime at the same time.

  • @betrekwoman I know EXACTLY what you mean.

  • i am in love with this song <3

  • I would love to play Joe Hisaishi's songs, especially in THIS orchestra.

    D:

  • It's amazing how much time and effort must've been put into this for it to be so perfectly executed.

  • I agree.

  • This piece of music never fails to make me stop. Just stop. It's breathtaking.

  • It sounds identical to the movie!

It's truly a fantastic piece of work here!

    Very very beautiful!

  • love the music and love the movie

  • our hs band played this at a student's memorial. they didn't applaud and that was a great feeling.

  • Not applauding is good? Because they were too moved by it perhaps?

  • Comment removed

  • because someone had died you twat

  • @plrm76 Wow, you're classy!

  • that is cool as hell.

  • I love this piece of music... So beautiful... :')

  • 4:14 to 4:40 is the part where i love most, so sad...

  • What! You think that is sad?

    I think it's absolutely beautiful! :)

  • By sad, I think Xuanizee meant in the litteral, emotional sense.

  • And how did I mean it?

  • I thought you took it that Xuanizee meant sad as in the insulting sense, but I'm gathering not now.

Calling something sad in the emotional sense doesn't mean it can't be a good nor beautiful thing.

  • the dynamics are unreal

  • so awesome...

  • beautiful piece by the Master !^^

this is a wonderful performance !

  • I realy love how the music here sounds just like the movie

  • I bet you look even more boring;

  • The trumpet makes it sound like Medal of Honor. lol Incredible music for a great movie! Hayao Miyazaki ftw

  • ahahaha, you're right about the trumpet !

  • 1000/5 stars.

    Magnificent.

    Two thumbs up.

I love the trumpet player! He's so good!

Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hiyasashi are some of the greatest people of the 20th and the 21st centurary.

  • can someone tell me where can i find

    Howl's moving castle's violin notes???

    plz!!!

  • las peliculas de hayao no las puedo dejar de ver "ES UN GENIO " y la musica es impresionante.

  • There's something enchanting about this music, I can't quite fathom it... Then again, "Howl's Moving Castle" is an enchanting movie, and its music is a part of the spell :) Beautiful.

  • I love this movie/anime, it has more power and emotion in it than most real movies

  • IM not into anime but Spirited Away and Howls moving castle were two very great movies. Two thumbs up!

  • be sure to look for Princess Mononoke. Very powerful musical score there. Though i have to agree with you Howl's moving castle is just enchanting!
