  • @chrix89

I fascisti invece seminavano margherite, vero? fanculo va

  • Italian and Spanish have so much resemblance... I love the song :)...

  • @RashaBadawi Well both are Latin based so yeah, but then i like to think French is just English and Spanish mashed together with a mallet so go figure...

We owe our freedom to the American soldiers!

  • "This is not a song, this is a hymn.

should not be sung, must be shouted with all the breath can"

    by my grandfather Ferdinando

Grazie Partigiani di averci regalato la libertà.

    Ora e sempre Resistenza.

  • @rachsuchstig Nice words from your grandfather. He is a great man. Cheers.

  • ONE LOVE!

  • VIVA BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA.....AND ITALIAN PARTISAN

  • I think it would be better you'd translate this song in your language and AFTER sing it.

  • partigiani traditori!!

  • İşte bir sabah uyandığımda Çav Bella Çav Bella Çav Bella Çav, çav, çav Elleri bağlanmış bulduğum yurdumun Her yanı işgal altında Sen ey partizan beni de götür Çav bella çav Beni de götür dağlarınıza Dayanamam tutsaklığa Eğer ölürsem ben partizanca Çav bella çav Sen gömmelisin ellerinle beni Ellerinle toprağına Güneş doğacak açacak çiçek Çav bella çav Gelip geçenler diyecek merhaba Merhaba ey güzel çiçek

  • beautiful RUSSIAN song

  • @ComradeChad its definately Italian. You could debate whether it was first an anti-facist song or the song of the riceworkers. But there is no doubt its Italian.

  • not so bad italian instead

Glory to Italian partisans who fought against fascism!

  • Bella Ciao from Catalonia!!

  • ahahah

    é un bel gesto!!! Complimenti!

    Very good job

  • It's absolutely not so ugly to my ears, from time to time the pronunciation is strange, but in many other points I cannot perceive a great difference form a mother tongue. The fact is Italy is a long boot, and from North to South you may find many different way of pronouncing: for instance here in NorthEast Italy the vowels are less 'open' then in South Italy.

    ---

All in all, it seems to me that your foreign accent adds a message of peace for all the people, besides nationalities and borders

  • no comuism .... ye socyalism

  • Communism is unreachable utopia.

    Nevertheless, this song is great.

  • utopia is not for being reached...the great thing about utopia,,is that it helps to keep moving forward... desde Colombia.

  • @EMNASKJAKSAKD beautiful comment mate

  • MOSTRI COMUNISTI!

  • It is wrong to call this song "revolutionary", we didn't fight for a communist revolution, we fought for freedom and democracy.

  • @DiscoSource if you fought for freedom and democracy in the truest sense of those words, then you did indeed fight for revolution.

  • We don't call it revolution, we call it liberation. Nobody wanted a communist revolution aimed at the estabishment of another dictatorship. Even those who were communist never tought about establishing a communist state, my grandfather was a partisan and survived the war, he is socialist.. but he always told me he never liked the soviet dictatorship.

It is wrong to call our anti-fascist resistance "a communist revolution". I am 100% anti-fascist, but i'm not communist.

  • @DiscoSource i don't think you understand what communism is, there is an establishment of a proletariat rule, not another joseph stalin. the ENTIRE working class will rule, the people will rule, there is no such thing as a 'communist state' if a country can be referred to as that, they are far from communist. to fight for democracy and freedom IS to fight for communism. if your grandfather was against the soviet dictatorship, then he was right to do so! that does not make communism bad.

  • How many communist countries were democratic and respectful of civil rights? None. North Korea, Soviet Union, China, Vietnam were/are dictatorship where civil rights are denied in the name of the "working class".

If there is no such thing as a communist state, then i repeat we italians didn't fight for a communist revolution, but for the establishment of a democratic republic. In our history since the Roman Republic, we always preferred bureaucracy to ideology... that's why the regime fell.

  • @DiscoSource but again, its rare to find a socialist whom is for these countries, i can call myself a pink elephant, but it doesn't make me one (i hope).

communism = a classless and stateless political system where property and wealth in a classless society is owned by all people within that society. does this sound like any country that calls themselves communist? communism is to aim for progression of all forms. not to install a powerful dictator but real grass roots democracy

  • That's why communism in all countries that claimed to be "red", turned into a totalitarian dictatorship, because a stateless political system cannot exist. There is one ideology, communism, that according to the ideology itslef "has aim for the progress and the benefit of the working class", but someone doesn't agree.. and the ideology must protect itself from collapse - so it turns into a dictatorship and enforces itself on the people. That's communism, a dictatorship.

  • @DiscoSource you cannot blame the ideology for the rise of bureaucratic counter revolution within the movement, remember this is a system that has yet to be implemented, who could get it done right the first time? we learn from their mistakes.

a stateless political system can and has existed, longer then statism itself. the earliest forms of the state emerged whenever it became possible to centralize power in a durable way. the development of surplus (the first of which was from agriculture

  • @DiscoSource only when power had the ability to be centralized, and when the development of classes arose did we form the state. the idea of communism is decentralization to a large extent, even capitalist economists agree that highly centralized economic structure is cumbersome and unfeasable, as was the case in the USSR.

just because someone doesn't agree with the system does not mean the system will become a dictatorship. the dictatorship comes by people not defending revolution

  • Absolutely ugly! This is not italian! Our singer needs urgently an italian language course!

  • LOL ;D

  • Come sei pedante e fastidioso pochinb. Lascia perdere!!

If youre not Italian, let me know. I will translate.

  • @pochinb the singer needs guitar lessons too

  • @pochinb e allora? Rendiamogli merito di aver tributato la canzone.

  • @pochinb It's not the pronounciation. It's not the language. It's the cause and the feeling behind it.

  • Workers of the world UNITE against greedy capitalist monsters !!! LONG LIVE GREAT COMMUNISM !!!!

  • Hi Punisa, you are amazing musician! Love your voice love love...

I saw some discussion about the origin of the song on board. However, I originally heard the song from a Yugoslavian movie called "The bridge" . It was a huge hit when I was a kid. I am still in love with it!

Keep singing and posting, dear Punisa!

  • Ok, I am Italian and at times I cry hearing this song, it's got so much meaning in it, this even though I am too young to have lived thorugh those war times it's like I lived through them thorugh my parents. But listen, small differences make a lot of differences. Listen to the original version. This is just too slow and lame to convey the original meaning. I appreciate the effort and that foreigners like it too, but only an Italian can make it right.

  • yupp

though italians have to work on the view other countires have of them... not insulting am italian and i love italy and all but the french and rest cant stand italy ...

shame for them italy has good food ^^

  • This is an old folk song about a young girl working the rice field near the river PO' in northen Italy the young girl was hit repetely by her mean boss because she dint work hard.Check out the original song sang by Milva dated 1971. The song was changed during war war ll.

  • Idiot!! World war II, in case you didn't know it, finished in 1945... Don't you think that maybe it was Milva that used an old folk PARTISAN song and later changed it so it didn't have any political meaning?! Check your history next time...

  • you're wrong. shut up

  • ma va va !!! "un mattina mi son sveliato"? e questa sarebbe oh bella ciao? ma mi facci il piacere cos'è hai voglia di scherzare ? o ... do you want to joke??? ... with italian people??

  • What? I don't get it, my Italian is not so good : P

Can you say it in English?

  • Basically, this is the translation of the song , for everyone who doesn't speak italian: I woke up a morning bella ciao(hi beauty) I woke up a morning and i found the invader oh, partisan take me away, i feel i'm dying and if I die as partisan, you have to bury me and you'll bring me up there on the mountain under the shadow of a beautiful flower and every people that will pass there, will say "what a beautiful flower" and this is the partisans' flower died for freedom.
  • @ CHIARETTAPRINCESS95
