  • All politicians are thieves, no acceptations

  • u turks are the most right wing nazi fucks on earth i don't know why you got the nerve to talk about republicans you right wing cresent moon faggots

  • why are you such a faggot, XxfreemasonxX?

  • @XxfreemasonxX lol right wing socialist? Jesus Christ Americans are fucking retards. Look at the federal spending by state as a % of tax dollars the state raised. Blue states like California recieve back 78% of their tax dollars from the federal govt. The redneck riviera of red states like Mississippi get 200% of their tax dollars back from the federal govt. So you tell me fucktard, is it the Red States or Blue States that are fiscally responsible? That's what I thought, so shut the fuck up

  • maybe you should have voted for mccain, since obviously you think things were great in this country for the last 8yrs, he would have continued the same ideology as bush, nation building, tax cuts for wealthy folks, no to stem cell research, and he would not be talking about bringing our troops home from iraq, going around he globe beating his chest as if we are almighty, the country made a choice in november, a different approach, i guess you want to sail on the same boat, but switch captains.

  • I love the truth. republicans spouting off about so-called pork, i just saw a report that showed 4 republicans had so-called ear marks/pork totally more than all the democrats projects. talk about b.s. someone said obama is evil, and he's causing the economy to go from bad to worse, what planet are you from, this is bushs' doings, the commander in chief, obama has been in office for 4-5 weeks, and he,s actually working, doing something, speaking to folks.

  • i think all polititions like pork. the only differance is conservatives spend millions, and liberals spend billions.

  • It's funny that the GOP doesn't like Pork Barrel Spending, even though the military budget reeks of pork!! Their idea of pork is healthcare and money for our schools!!

  • How did he make it worse.....he's only been President for less than 6 weeks!! It's actually gone a bit better....we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel with Obama as our President!

  • google "earmark". I love how the only government website that gives a definition is how to, I assume, earmark a bill:

"earmarking - The subdivision signals in a rule. The standard outline form that is required. The form is (1),( 2), (3), etc, then (a), (b), (c), etc."

  • Republicans does as any politicians. love to make the congress slaugther a few pigs and bring them home to their repsective districts.

  • Mitch ain't bringing the bacon home this time... but he's bringing home Kentucky Fried Chicken instead. XD

  • Maybe we need a clearer definition of "earmarks", because conservatives like to say that this bill has tons of earmarks, while liberals say that there are zero earmarks. Either someone has an extremely warped definition of the word "earmark", or someone is lying.

  • The Republicans intentionally warp the definition of "earmark". That is how it is. But even McCain himself said on camera that the stimulus bill 'does not technically have any earmarks', but that 'it virtually has earmarks'. Basically, it's like making a bet and paying with monopoly money if you lose, "you should have been more specific on which dollars we were betting"

  • Earmarks are defined clear enough. The Rethuglicans were lying.

Earmarks are spending projects that are directed to a specific congressman's pet project in their own jurisdiction.

They are not always a bad thing. No earmarks were in the stimulus bill because it was a broad bill designed to help sectors not pet projects.

  • where? in what district? for which congressperson? how much?

  • i'll only respond like this; the republicans have an earnest fighter against waste in jeff flake of arizona. he has sponsored several dozen bills against parochial pork barrel spending. more than half of the g.o.p. voted against him constantly. 'nuff said

  • I live in Kentucky. Mitch ran on a "I can bring home the bacon" platform.

  • No problems, where can we send the money.

  • I got the impression that "pork barrel" denoted general useless/wasteful spending, whereas earmarks denoted specific, directed spending to a congressperson's constituents (usually as quid pro quo). But turns out they mean the same thing. In that case, Barack Obama is probably correct to say there's no pork/earmarks in the bill (I wouldn't know, I haven't read it), but that doesn't mean there aren't favors for some interest groups though...

  • Pastor Manning? Is that you?

  • where to begin..

  • Condoms are expensive. I would be happy if my senator brought that stuff home to me!

  • /sigh, iv had mitch as my senator ever sence i can remember, and he hasnt done a damn thing for my state.. ever

  • I dont hate many things but I hate lying neo-cons
