Obviously; Artie was offended by David Cross, and to me he just sounds bitter and jealous. I think it is ARTIE who is in the wrong here, perhaps they met and David didn't show Artie the respect he felt he deserved. And by the way wasn't Artie mostly drunk and/or coking it up around that time. It IS the reason he was canned from Mad T.V.

Although I am a big fan of both Cross and Artie, it's not surprising that they wouldn't get along. Cross and Artie approach comedy from very different perspectives.
Namely, Cross approaches comedy from the perspective of an outsider criticizing the absurdity of everyday people and things. Artie, in contrast, represents the "guy's guy" who you would want to have at your bachelor party.
Herein lies the problem: they are each correctly skeptical of the archetypes one another represents.

I can sympathize with Artie Lang cuz when you are a young kid trying to network or meet professionals and you talk to someone on their worst day. You feel like it's personal, especial in comedy.
