  • Yes I know these are amateur students but taking months to do this is beyond my belief. I am a professional lighting technician and I could program this in about a day or so. What took you so long out of interest?

  • @HabTasianet What took so long was the fact that it all had to be done in bits over a long period of time in between other events etc. I agree, given a solid run of time it could be done a lot quicker.

  • @tomsearsuk It is a very good show for the equipment you have. What dimmers do you have, you haven't mentioned them in your description.

  • this really took you months??? this would take me bout a week or 2 depending on how good the controller is.... and why was there are retard walking around the stage with a smoke machine????

  • for the months of hard work, i expected more of a wow factor tbh

  • that is really shitty for the intstruments that you've got...

  • I have 5 1.0s for sale message me if interested!

  • They are used but can't actually be seen. They were positioned at the back of the hall pointing forwards across the ceiling, but are just out of shot. Time wise it is the section from 4.40.

  • i don't understand why it took "many months of hard work (...)" ...

    it isn't that special ...

until the middle of the song i missed the movement ... the end was good i think ....

  • just rember that they r students and have no profenilal teaching

  • Great Job, I always love to see a conventional light show. I just get fed up with people pressing buttons and all these new fangled moving things do all sorts of crap.... give me a few pars and a smoke machine any day :P

  • it will be good id with our LED curtain video wall.haha

  • um.... no?

  • Sorry taht is an very bad simpel Lightshow!

The lights and the sounds are not compatiple!

  • I disagree, considering these are amateur students with no pro training or massive experience I think they did a good job. Well done guys

  • ALLAANNNNNn!!!!

  • who does this a student?????

  • The RGSHW sage lighting and stage team are a group oof students from years 9 - 13. This assembly took months to make

  • Patel

  • ALLAN.

  • btw i was there it was amazing and blow my mind I LOVE ALAN!!!!!

  • amazing

  • wow i think this is the most legit thing you can do at school.

  • Not bad for students on a Jands Event 24/48..

We did a few of these back at college (well uni, but we all called it college..). Never had months. 2x weeks if we were lucky to program something at least this size. Definitely kept our D4 & Hog programming skills sharp!

Got to agree with everyone else.. should have picked a better song though! Something other than this or sandstorm. Pendulum would be a good bet IMO.

  • my school is insane

  • i eat shit

    e

  • omg...u should have used head like a hole 8-)

    this is dirgy tune

    :(

  • SHIT MY SCHOOLS COOL 8-|, lol, hang tite my best buds, bbfls.

  • That's Mr Balaam not Dr M!!

  • ur par 64 and other coventional lighting over powers the scanners and other inteligent fixtures but all in nice but could have done it to better music!

  • Bare in mind that this is the shot from the back of the hall, behind the audience.

The movers and LED PARs were on-stage, where the audence's attention was best attracted.

  • Why Dr M? When does he use a mic??

  • i was there

    APPALLING

    WE WANT HEAVY METALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck yeaaaahhh!! HANG TITE SLST!! LOL

  • beautiful job :)

  • Listen yall theese things take a lot of time and thought and effort your cues were a little off and i am supprised no one cholked to death but hey nice one.

  • i can appreciate how much time and effort went into this. its obvious you did a hell of a lot more work then i'd ever be willing to do... probably cuz i'm a sound guy.

but its a really bad song. to do an outstanding light show you need some crazy techno beats or heavy metal.

  • from forming the original idea to getting it programmed and rigged was about 5 months worth of work, most of it done in the 2 months before the performance.

The team was split betweeen this song and Sandstorm (Darude - everyone knows it). In the end most of us agreed to this because it is very varied in style and good for lighting to.

  • should have gone with darude man... that song is epic.

  • 2 months :O:O Don't be silly, it was even less than one month :P Although Tom did loads of preperation for it it actually didn't take 2 months to actually physically set up :P Also only two/three people actually agreed on a song xD

  • shut up, you annoying pædant!!

  • lol

  • where abouts were our lasers *supposed* to come in?

  • They did come in - you just can't see them here!! They start at 4.43 and stop at 4.57.

  • David Stone...

  • Utterly superb.

George and I are going to do one of these when we're prefects!

  • Well I'll await that with anticipation then - only 3 years to wait!!

  • lol

  • thought it was great

  • No. It was not Alan. He was doing house lights etc.

  • No it isn't it's David Stone!

  • lol confetti w00p

  • Most of the events we do are pretty standard concerts etc where we need to do 'normal' lighting. This was a presentation designed to raise the profile of the Stage Lighting and Sound Team within the school, so was just supposed to be an impressive display.

  • Hi Tom!

It was OK - not spectacular though.

  • :| took tom 4 months to realise that from a distant idea...!
