"I don't know if you like the quieter side of music"
What made you think I might be on the harder side of music in taste? Lol. It sounds like the guy was trying to play ever softer than it came out. If it was you, palm the pick with your little or two useless fingers [on my pickin they be useless] and use the other three to play softer. I like that style very much. Stuff I would do myself back in the day just like that.
@ISamuelII Ya know...I have no idea why I thought that...hehe. It's probably because most people I know aren't fans of ambient music, which can be so subtle as to almost just be ambient field recordings. No, I didn't do this, but I'm just picking up the guitar for the first time in my life these days.
@MyceliaProductions42 Maybe Lemmy has something to do with it. When you stop watching the TeeVee like I did back in the 70s, you pick up other filler and I have my share of ambient CDs like 'forest' & 'waterfall' etc.
Very nicely done sir. I think between the music and the film footage, you've managed to capture a bit of that elusive spirit of the old south. I grew up on the bayous and the black belt farms down south in the 50's and 60's, and I must say, this really takes me back in time to those almost mythical seeming places. Thanks for this great post!
@blackwulfekinde Thanks for the kind compliments & particularly for noticing the almost-mythic nostalgic sense of the deep South. That's part of what I was trying to capture. :)
@alphazeroes Man I wish I had a jib arm! It's actually a small camcorder on an old all-metal tripod from the late 1960s. It has a small crank on it that (when done gently enough) can replicate that effect. :)
Hehe...Thanks! Yeah the heat down here is immense especially due to unreal amount of humidity we suffer from. You can swim through the air, it's so thick.
Beautiful video, beautiful places - and I loved this track by Beatsystem since the first t:me I heard it. Excellent framing and composition too ! Long live the two-headed mushroom.
Hehe...Thanks! No damnit I WISH I owned a gib arm or a Steadicam or even just a Glidecam! I used an older tripod to achieve the slow crane-down effect on the tombstone. As for the location: All footage was shot in the Mississippi Delta.
Very nice

Hey very nice work, I especially liked the tombstone and the part with the bushes dripping. The chairs in the porch were very good as well.

Thank you, thank you. I strived to create a mood. Someone commented that it looked like the longest ever intro to 'In the Heat of the Night'. lol!

I'm up in Wisconsin and this video is making me all the more pissed that it's in the high 50's here...ugh.
But it's really a beautiful vid. =)
