  • are these fish aggresive? because i was gonna get 1

  • @DarkRavenPSN No, they are very peaceful.

  • @franksb4u i beg to differ on this one because i witnessed one of my co-workers getting bit and drawing blood on the finger while getting another fish out of the tank

  • @antfish1988 They do have very tiny teeth, and I suppose you would get a little scrape if one were to bite. But, as they're nearly blind, it probably bit your co-worker because it thought he or she was food.

  • @antfish1988 they are only aggresive to your if you are a ghost shrimp

    '

  • thoes gobys need aquarium salt in there tank

  • That's a beautiful fish !

  • Hey, I'v had a few of those guy's, freken cool fish, try live Blood worms they go crazy for them!!!

  • Freshwater tank?

  • @zOMGLaserGunzPewPew Yes it was freshwater.

  • @franksb4u how long have you had your dragon?

  • @alosar I had it for about 2 years before it jumped out and died.

  • The snail is like

"Fuck you man, I'm trying to sleep!"

  • @101artsygirl Haha yeah.

  • dragon gobies are very cool. they look very cute when they are young. that's how people end up buying them without knowing them capable of outgrowing small tanks. then they end up being given back to aquarium stores... that's how I acquired mine. He/She is already grown too big for my 29 gallon tank. I'm not getting rid of him though. I am getting a 65 Gallon tank just for my dragon goby. It's the most peaceful exotic fish I ever had.

  • A wild gyarados appeared.

  • @AppulzGaming Haha nice.

  • @franksb4u have a bumblebee goby pack with 1 of these in 500 gallon tank works out very good

  • so ugly = =

  • Cute! Fish rule

  • what do you feed them

  • get the fuck out of the way snail!!

  • that's very cool looking

  • just bought 13 of these for a 1000 gallon tank these things are fucking beasty as fuck

  • DONT BUY FISH AT WALMART YOU TWITS!!!

  • @Z3kedog It's not always bad to buy fish at WalMart. It just depends on which one you go too and the conditions of their tanks.

  • @franksb4u i'm sure not all of the walmart tanks are disease ridden slime holes, its just that every one i've ever been to has been that way and i think that business would be better going to a place that has a specific trade of fish and aquarium equipment. While there may be some walmarts that have good tanks and quality fish its still the last place i'd go to to buy fish.

  • @Z3kedog You have a valid point.

  • @franksb4u thank you.

  • @Z3kedog I agree with Z3kedog. I've had nothing but bad fish from wallie world...Im sticking with the proper aquarium store.

  • @Z3kedog I bought my Green Spotted Puffer at Wal-Mart. None of my local pet shops carried them (5 total). Wal-Mart was the only one to carry them. I had to check every week for a month or two before I finally saw a healthy one. Purchased him/her and acclimated him to his new 29 gallon aquarium. And then began treating him with immune system boosters to to get rid of any parasites. He is perfectly healthy now.

  • @powerman2442 great im glad it worked out.

  • What was he eating????

  • @Pets4Pets1 It was just an algae wafer.

  • @franksb4u

    fags

  • That fish is amazing!!

  • Shenron lol

  • Were can you get these fish cuz he looks bad ass!!!

  • @Bigamefish I got one at wal-mart

  • How much was he? If you don't mined me asking

  • @anonymousipodtouch Mine was $8 at wal-mart

  • Mushu?

  • @adammada1991 Haha, needs to be a little more red I think.

  • @franksb4u im gonna call him Mushu anyway :)

  • Love how the snail is just trying to get away from the Goby who can't figure out how to grab the wafer.

  • Sorry to bother! Question: Fresh Water Or Salt Water, Water Temperature range, what it eats, and friendly to what kinds of fish? And price (approximate or range is fine) If anyone can answer i appreciate it very much

  • @TTThienTN Dragon gobies prefer brackish or freshwater (with some salt.) They like a temp range of around 70 to 78 degrees F. They will eat almost anything that sinks to the bottom; they have big mouths but they have small throats, so the smaller the food, the better. They are peaceful, so you can have them in a community tank. They are nearly blind, so don't keep them with semi-aggressive or especially aggressive fish. You can get one between $5-$20 depending on where you look for one.

  • @franksb4u Oh Okay Thank You So Much for this information :)

  • HOW BIG IS IT

  • @fabihanski It was around a foot long.

  • where did you get yours the petsmart down here dosnt sell them and i dont buy fish from wallmart

  • @zecnaspwn I bought mine at a Petsmart. Most pet stores stock unique fish like dragon gobies in the fall time to replace the pond fish from Spring. I've seen them at WalMart too, and it's okay to buy from them as long as the aquariums are clean and none of the fish in any of the tanks look sick. Just keep checking around and you'll eventually find one.

  • so the dragon gobby has to be in brackish not real freshwater huh?

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay The dragon goby can tolerate freshwater or brackish water. I've even heard of a few people successfully keeping one in a fully marine tank. They are extremely tolerant to salt levels.

  • @franksb4u so i could put him in freshwater with a ph of 7.4 - 8.0?

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay Yes that would be fine.

  • What's the spotted fish at 0:21-0:22?

  • @israfel818 That's an African Leaf or Leopard Bush fish.

  • que simpatico caracol

  • Is he eating the snail?

  • @Pop12646Okami No, he was eating an algae pellet the snail was trying to eat.

  • @franksb4u ohhh

    .......well that's just rude. xD

  • @GamersOfTheNation You can't put a pacu in a pond unless you have extremely mild winters. Winters with an average low around 65 to 70. I would do some thorough research on aquariums and different type of fish if I were you. Just a suggestion.

  • @GamersOfTheNation I used to have a pacu and it was almost 2 feet long before it died after about 5 or 6 years. It was too big for my 75 gallon. Another good choice would be silver dollars.

  • @GamersOfTheNation That sucks. Worth trying at least.

  • I had 6 goldfish, a dragon goby, and about 10 ghost shrimp in my tank. Very next day I'm missing a goldfish and it's a bigger one there is no way the goby ate it. This morning I had 5, left for school and came back and now I have 4 goldfish. I honestly don't know what is eating them because they are the bigger 39 cent goldfish and the dragon goby is about this size I just bought it

  • @MrSethklok Goldfish are cold water fish, so they won't do well in the warm water. The goldfish are probably dying because of too much waste, and the other goldfish are eating the carcasses. The goby is definitely not eating the goldfish. The best way to resolve the problem is to take out some/all goldfish and put them either in an unheated, large tank or personal pond. I wouldn't put more than one goldfish per ten gallons of water. Hope that helps. Good luck.

  • @GamersOfTheNation The pacu would be a great match with the dragon goby, but pikes are probably too aggressive. You could try it out though if you wanted to.

  • Lol I thought it was gonna eat the snail xD

  • is this brackish water?

  • @laskolasko No, no salt at all.

  • @franksb4u

oh wow, how old is your Goby and is it still alive?

  • @laskolasko It was almost two years old before I had to give it away.

  • i've read on a couple websites that Dragon Gobies get 2ft long.

  • @fishguycam It is possible for them to get that long if you keep one long enough. They grow very slowly.

  • @franksb4u i have no experience with them.. so i'm not sure. He looks like he's doing fine

  • @fishguycam Yes, I was making a statement there.

  • how much did it cost

  • @kingjamescrab They are only 5 to 10 dollars at chain pet stores. If you happen to go to a family owned or small business pet store, they are more expensive; usually around 15 to 20 dollars.

  • @franksb4u thanks for the help

  • this thing looks cool but its damb ugly no offence to you

  • @MrGman0909 No offense taken. I don't think they were made to be pretty anyway lol.

  • lolol i like when he starts headbutting the snail to move it out of the way. lol

  • @crazedweazels Yeah he was serious about food.

  • Is this a brackish tank?

  • @DarkCitadelGuard No it wasn't brackish.

  • LOL hes all pushing the snail out the way... What is that beautiful fish with the cheetah pattern?

  • @TasteDisRaynebow Haha, yeah he was greedy. That's an African leaf fish or Leopard bush fish.

  • can they be kept in a 20 gallon ? please reply thank you :)

  • @Dorkfish582 Yeah you can have one of them in a 20 gallon. Just make sure you don't have too many other fish in there with it. I'd say about maybe 10 or 12 more total inches of fish.

  • A 20G tank is too small for an adult; it'd be fine for a while but they reach 15"+. Something with a 18x36" footprint (30B/40B/50/65) is the minimum, imo, for an adult. They're bottom-dwelling fish so a deeper, wider tank is preferable to a taller one. They're territorial as adults and I'd stick to one per tank unless you've got a 5ft+ long tank. They also prefer brackish water; they can go full fresh or full salt but either extreme may shorten their lifespan to an extent.

  • @Siorusbusiness I agree, very precise.

  • yea they r

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaGearsfan Sorry, but bichirs can be aggressive when they go into hunt mode.

  • these fish are anything but aggresive and the ONLY fish they will EVER eat is tadpoles i hve no idea why but i hve experienced ths ive been keeping 3 dragonfish for a long time and they will not eat the smallest fish give them itleast a teaspoon per a gallon of salt do not put aggresive fish wth them becuz they will prolly die

  • @millerbrett72 Very correct.

  • Thanks. Vincenzo

  • Hi, this fish is aggressive? What's the price? Please write in an english language at minimum level. Thanks. Vincenzo

  • @VincenzoIanni1982 No, they are not aggressive. They are around 5 to 10 dollars.

  • Nice leaf fish too

  • @p10ghost Thanks, they all get along somehow.

  • @franksb4u I had a leaf fish in with my 2 dragon's but he died of ammonia poisoning before I knew how to deal with it. never bought another one. I miss my leaf fish. haah

  • @p10ghost Yeah I had a couple dragons before this one too that also died from ammonia. They aren't nearly as tolerant as they look.

  • Is your water brackish?

  • @norcalsav My water is not brackish; there is actually no salt at all because I have live plants in there. The goby has done very well in that setup for a couple years now. So I can only assume that they don't really need brackish water, though many people say they do.

  • @spikefrog40 Yeah, they can range from silvery grey to a violet color.

  • how does your dragon goby get so blue?

  • @MegaGearsfan Generally, the more comfortable they are, the happier they are and a good diet will give them more color. Mine eats a lot of shrimp pellets and micro crabs, and has a lot of hiding places.

  • oh shiet this fish looks hella badass!

  • Was amazed by their unique look, store personel cudnt provide much information. I rushed to buy 2 of them asap and put them in my 25gl over populaed tank with poor water conditioned. 1st cpl of days, they didnt eat, skin color wud change as i did regular water change.

But slowly they started eating and still doing well for 1+ year. They are not aggressive at all to other fishes except their own kind. Problem other fishes eat their food b4 they get a hold on it.

  • Use a gravel cleaner: Remove the tube from gravel cleaner pipe/insert frozen food inside the pipe/quickly put the mouth of the pipe in the gravel, this'll allow aquarium water 2go inside the pipe 2 help melt the frozen food & as they melt, they'll go 2 bottom of the pipe/meanwhile it prevents other fishes 2 reach these food during melt process/u'll notice Gobies will come near the pipe smelling food, then just slowly remove the pipe.

Still other fish will be in b/w,but higher chances getin food

  • They prefer small size gravel, close to sand type. They love air bubbles. Setup a long airstone under the gravel. They love to stay within air bubbles most of the time. If you've a powerhead with air intake, you'll notice they will spend most of their time below/around that powerhead. I wudnt link my video on someone's channel without their permission, but you are welcome to check my aquarium video. It is 25gl.

  • @chawndro Believe it or not, they don't really care about gravel size and you're right about the bubbles, but I have him in a 55 now with live plants, so I don't use air pumps anymore and he's just fine. He's been around for about 2 years in my tank now.

  • I loved these fish, they look so amazingly unique but despite my efforts I've never been able to keep on for longer than two weeks, I think they starve them selfs but I'm not sure. I was told that they do fine in fresh water but I have my doubts now.

  • Will they eat my mollies? Peacful? lazy?

Yours is beautiful! look how big he is!

  • @Tapil Actually they are very peaceful. They won't eat any of your fish, no matter how small they may be. You'd probably like having one; they're really cool to watch.

  • I have mine in a normal aquarium, with other fish, no salt water or nothing. Its how I purchased it and was told it lived, the only problem I have came across with it is that it recently ate my tank cleaner! Didn't know they did that, was told they did not. ha

I have had mine for almost a year and a half

  • ive never been able to keep one for more than a month. seems like no matter what i do they just stop eating and get skinny and starve. i feed it shrimp pellets, flakes, brine shrimp and blood worms .

  • @GMCman82 Did you have enough salt in the tank? And sometimes they are just picky eaters and would rather starve than eat fish food. They aren't too hard to keep other than that.

  • @GMCman82

A salinity of 1.005 is important and also they like sand bottoms and lots of room. They will eat flakes, blood worm, daphnia, brine shrimp. They are filter feeders.

  • wat size tank do u recomend for those?

  • @TheFightingwarrior When they're small, you can have them in a ten gallon, but once they get about 6 or 7 inches you would want to move them to a 29 gallon or larger. They aren't really picky about space; they can't really see much anyway. Just make sure they have a place to hide in.

  • @franksb4u ok thx do they sell them at local pet stores like petsmart or anything or are they just rare to find

  • @TheFightingwarrior Yeah, you can find them at Petco or Petsmart usually. They're more common at the beginning of fall through winter when they get rid of the koi and pond fish and make room for the cooler fish again. They're usually cheap too.

  • ya wow nice color on that goby! very bright blue is sooo nice. Where can i buy a dragon goby? they were selling some at walmart like 6 months ago but i didn't have a large enough tank back then. i called Petsmart if they had it and they laughed.. why? lol anyway next time i see em in a store, ill definitely be getting one. do they get along with plecos? i have a pretty large one

  • @masamune702 I've seen dragon gobies at WalMart too every once in a while. And I've also seen them on and off at different pet stores. They aren't rare so I don't know why they laughed at you when you asked about them. They're really peaceful fish, so as long as they aren't picked on by anything else in the tank they'll be alright. Just try to keep looking for one and you'll eventually find one; they're really cool to have.

  • what els will it eat mine just hides in the log with my parrot when i feed

  • @thaze95 They'll eat almost anything that sinks. I've heard they like frozen bloodworms, but I've never used them.

  • Hey I have a tank with the size of 24'' wide, with 14'' tall. It seems like a nice size. Idk how many gallons it holds.

Do you or ANYONE reading this- think that this can hold 1 Dragon Goby, with and 4 to 5 goldfish.

I really want one of these things so I hope this will fit lol. what do u think?

  • @gbhighentertainments If I were you I'd put either the goby or the goldfish, but not both. That many goldfish would probably be too much for a tank that size anyway; one or two goldfish should be able to survive in there alone.

  • @franksb4u

    alright thank u :)

  • Wow that's probably the nicest Dragon Goby I've scene on video. To bad there so freakin blind.

  • my dragon goby jumped out of the tank 4 days ago. i came home from work and he was stuck to the tile floor. i pealed him off the floor and put him back in the tank and he jetting all around the tank... it ended up blinding him from being out of the water so long.. and this morning i went to check on him and he was dead... he lasted way longer then i thought he would. he must have been out of the tank for at least 1hr... cover your tank!!!

  • Believe me, my tank is covered from hearing stories like yours. Sorry your goby died, hopefully you can get another one.

  • beautiful goby

  • LOL He's kinda mean huh

  • oh cool is that a new fish i dont think ive seen that one before
