Sorry matt smith, you are good but i was watching David Tennent and Christopher Eccleston playing as the doctor since i was 9 or 10 and David Tennent was always the best doctor.
David Tennant was the best Dr. Who I really did not like the first they brought in 2005 but when David came on I fall in love with thew show he will be missed

Fans should not forget that some of the best stories in the new series were written by Steven Moffat like the empty child/ doctor dances, Silence in the Library/ Forest of the Dead and Blink. That's the funniest thig I've heard all day :) How can he be serious, at times yes, but the was to most fun-loving Doctor yet, Matt is far more serious, he has a temper, unlike David, when he get's mad, you really believe it, matt captures the rage of The Doctor I think, brilliantly, while I think David was more of an older carachter, old and kind, and somber and often quiet, who lives for adventure and fun with freinds. Matt embodies his the tired side :)

I think tha't a matter of opinion. David, to me, had a temper but no rage. He never once lost if if you know what I mean. He was angry at the Daleks for a long time, and VERY angry in The Family of Blood, but he never LOST his temper, he always kept it pent up inside him. And even those instances were rare. Whereas Matt Smith was yelling his head off by the end of his second episode lol :) Not that it's a bad thing, it's just individuality :)

I've watched both those Doctors (a lot of both of them, in fact). I agree, Tom Baker, when he gets really angry, can have you almost trembling with fear. Colin I think was just irratible most of the time, so that lessened the effect of his anger. Odd, that, that the Colin's was arguably the most unfriendly Doctor... he is mean't to be a VERY nice guy in real life, and in all the vids of him I have seen he has been very polite and almost playful...
I dont care if its a Tv series! I dont care if it is only fiction! I always feel the doctor's emotions and feelings, and I will miss the doctor deeply, I will always remember what I have seen from the past, and remember it in the future when im 50...as the greatest doctor of all time!

It is very, very, very unlikely. Id guess a couple of weeks to a month after. The reason other countries get it after is because the program is paid for by our licence fee and its felt it is fairer to broadcast it here first.

David Tennant was the actor who got me into this series, and he will always be my Doctor. He will be missed, greatly. Dazzling End is one of my favorite pieces of music from Series 4, though This is Gallifrey (series 3) is also beautiful.

Well, probably yes. But the thing is, theres no-time lords left, so he technically can have as many regenerations as he wants. There is no law now against it. Like the master did
It's never been made clear in canon how regeneration works - is the "12 regenerations rule" a biological one or a legal one? If legal, why? We do know that it's 12 regenerations - 13 lives in all, and the 13th death is permanent. The Doctor is clearly getting close to that.
The question is: did the biological meta-crisis (or whatever) from "Journey's End" use up one of his regenerations? Does he have three lives left or two?
Personally, I predict an epic season-long adventure as the 13th Doctor deals with the fact that he has become very, very mortal and pursues a new regeneration cycle (like the Master got on one occasion). But how high will the cost be? And to what lengths will the Doctor go to get it?
In any case, whether I'm right or wrong about the details, the story has every chance to be brilliant and I have full faith in Moffatt to pull it off.

Yeah, same here, Christopher was my first doc, but I only got really into it with David. I guess it's kind of exciting and terrifying at the same time, waiting for the new doctor, but there's something about Tennant that, no matter how good this Matt guy is, he will take with him when he goes.

David Tennant was the actor who got me into this series, and he will always be my Doctor. He will be missed, greatly. Dazzling End is one of my favorite pieces of music from Series 4, though This is Gallifrey (series 3) is also beautiful.

i love the video!! i dont know if teh music completly goes with it though, could you make it with different music, something more dramatic that has a dramatic ending when they say "poof, we'll be gone" because that is such an amazing line.
i love the bit where it is flames, but the doctor is walking with the snow around him. thats good. x

Well, probably yes. But the thing is, theres no-time lords left, so he technically can have as many regenerations as he wants. There is no law now against it. Like the master did

It's never been made clear in canon how regeneration works - is the "12 regenerations rule" a biological one or a legal one? If legal, why? We do know that it's 12 regenerations - 13 lives in all, and the 13th death is permanent. The Doctor is clearly getting close to that.
The question is: did the biological meta-crisis (or whatever) from "Journey's End" use up one of his regenerations? Does he have three lives left or two?

Personally, I predict an epic season-long adventure as the 13th Doctor deals with the fact that he has become very, very mortal and pursues a new regeneration cycle (like the Master got on one occasion). But how high will the cost be? And to what lengths will the Doctor go to get it?
In any case, whether I'm right or wrong about the details, the story has every chance to be brilliant and I have full faith in Moffatt to pull it off.
On to November!

Yeah, same here, Christopher was my first doc, but I only got really into it with David. I guess it's kind of exciting and terrifying at the same time, waiting for the new doctor, but there's something about Tennant that, no matter how good this Matt guy is, he will take with him when he goes.

You reckon? There is a rumour that the Rani will be back in 2010, with Gillian Anderson (X-Files, Bleak House) to play the role. That would be a great bit of casting, I don't know how much trust to put in the reports though.
