Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great game series such as Donkey Kong Country. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
Am I the only one who thinks K. Rool's supposed wife is actually another one of his personas, like how he's a pirate one game and a mad scientist the other?
I dunno, but it makes some sense, doesn't it? Especially since Rare denied the fact he has a wife and dismissed it as a throwaway joke.
Why do I keep hearing from people that this game sucks? It totally doesn't. The best thing about every DKC (Including Returns) is that they all seem like a different game rather than one whole big one continued on different cartridges. Donkey Kong Country 3 had great atmosphere and creative levels.
I don't think people claim this game to suck. I just think in comparison to the first two, it isn't very good. You can also tell the game was a bit rushed. The sound quality isn't as good as in the first two games, and the graphics are a little washed out. The game is still good, but nothing that can even come close to the second. if the first two games never existed, this would be a classic, but because they do, this game will always be the red headed step child.
@Dsupreme1 Yes, the backgrounds are better than the previous games, but look at the texture of the platforms and characters. They're washed out. It's like there's very small white dots everywhere. You have to have a good eye, I suppose, but it's most certainly there.
"My wife is gonna let me have it now" Yeah K. Rool? Maybe you shoulda thought of that before you got your ass handed to ya *AGAIN* by the Kong family. DON'T MESS WITH THE KONGS!
@thebuzzerding In the Donky Kong animation series, Captain Croco (yes, it called him that ^^°) was the long lost brother of King Croco. The Baron didn't appear, since it was made before DKC3.
But I dodn't think that the series counts as cannon, because it got so many things wrong. I only say; Bubbles. ^^°
Pretty good music, but I like the last boss in DKC2 better. cuz K.Rool actually attacked, mentally shooting from his blunderbus, but here he just flies back and fourth hoping the player will make a mistake. Still a fun fight tho!
@pokemon92753 same boat my friend lol. Well actually I sold my dkc 1 before and I regretted it so I had to find another one and so I did. Never sell the good shit. Dkc for life.
Same guy, but in each new game he took on a different persona. In DKC 1 He was King of the Kremlings. In DKC2 he was Kaptain K. Rool, a pirate captain of sorts. Then there was the mad scientist in DKC3. You gotta admire a bad guy with as big an imagination as he had.
Giving a Nintendo game to Microsoft is like giving a fire to dynamite, it's gonna blow hard. Just look at Bomberman Act Zero and then tell me that again. They just need to stop being so proud of their graphic and start making a good gameplay.
To rubixspoly: Rare may have created the Donkey Kong Country games, but Nintendo owns the rights to Donkey Kong and related characters.
Since Microsoft isn't competing in the portable games aspect, it could be possible for a Donkey Kong Country 4 to be made by Rare for the Nintendo DS. Everybody start making petitions! XD lol
im sick of fucking remakes (they werent so bad,but they just added some minigames and the graphics were worse than the SNES,the only remake that is changed is DKC3 remake, they put a new world into game and switched the order of bosses)
haha. the little fireballs shot in this level.. remind me of cheese balls.. Every time I hear this song.. I get the taste of cheese-balls in my mouth.. AWESOME!
i bought the whole trilogy soundtrack from nintendo power back in 95 as a child, I was 5 years old and this was the only CDs I had and it just rocks, fits a lot of different scenes.
these sound tracks were awesome the music really went so well with the game. i remember waiting months for my parents to finally give me the game for Christmas they let me have the game manual thingy and i looked at just that for so many hours that it got torn up before i even started to play. lol
agreed, now Rare in my opinion stinks compared to what they are really capable of producing. Great games like these are examples of their great passion for making games till software tyrants take away all the fun.
Yes. Don't get me wrong - Microsoft's Rare games still weren't as bad as they could've been. Nuts and Bolts was decent enough to pass, and Live and Reloaded's multiplayer was excellent. But still, Rare has had it's glory days taken away.
But if they do decide to make a Conker sequel(a real one), we may just see a comeback to Rare's greatest moents. We may just.
@OsuSyra11 what happened was they felt pity for microsoft in the days of the Xbox while they were failing and deserted nintendo. but look on the bright side, we got dk returns now and it seems like it will be just as good as the rare games.
i like 3 the best actually. 2 beats it in difficulty though, there were some levels (mostly in lost world) which were ridiculously hard in that and that makes a good game memorable ^^ i mean like the level when you have to fly with the parrot between the brambles and the wind is pushing you to random directions. that was kick ass.
@lvsoad22 each ending boss in D were foreshadows of wat each boss's theme was going to be in the sequel. K.Rool on a pirate ship, then a mechanical fllying ship, then back to the start with a castle.
@Wookster5 Actually, the true final battle of DKC3 takes place inside a submarine. You get there if you can get all bounus coins, all the banana birds and compleat the lost world.
While not a memorable as Gang Plank Galleon, or Crocodile Cacohpony, it still holds it's own with in the DKC series music. Also one of my favorite boss theme's in gaming history.
I agree completely. This song is great, just not as a Final boss theme when compared to the other two. However, It makes like a perfect race-theme song, Especially the echo part.
