Im a girl and i am bisexual. Lot of people think it means im promiscuous, but im not. This is one exception where the US adaption is better than the original!! I watched the original and although it was enjoyable, it doesn't reach what was done in the US version. But at the same time, I guess they had different vision. The US version is purely GROUNDBREAKING on so many levels and it incorporated current events, whereas the original didn't. Anyway, thanks for the video, it almost made me cry! QAF is the best show ever!!!
@impbadminton It's an awesome show about love, trials in relationships, and life. It's ABOUT gay's and lesbians (it was on Logo, a channel that is for shows that are gennerally about gay's and lesbians too). Brian and Justin have a relationship that is interesting through a lot of the seasons :)
@cat21954 The British version of QAF only had 14 x 30 min episodes, and it didn't really tell the story the way the US 84 episodes did, I loved the ending of the US version, however it felt really rushed, one more episode might have been nice to finish everything off but 6 yrs down the line you still wonder.. The UK versions ending was just too surreal and you came away thinking What??
I love your ending, I know they deleted the "new" Justin but I always thought it depicted how much he had changed in New York but still came back for the reopening of Babylon.. just my thought...
Im a senior in highschool, and our final project in English is a scrapbook with themed chapters that we have to have a page of text to go along with, and we have to present a chapter. My middle school chapter is about coming out, and im presenting it. It started getting to heavy and i want it to be positive and about how ive learned to love myself and hateful people alike. Listened to this song and now i know exatly what im gonna say. QAF: gift that keeps on giving.
now one and i mean NO ONE cannot say that this show had made a impact in life. it was real, it dealt with real life problems and how be is straight, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transsexual and so forth, how life treats us and how we move on. I will always love this show and will never forget it. the creators of the american version did the most fabulous story line and the actors brought to life characters that we will always love and hold in our hearts. thanks QAF for a wonderful show.

Ok to answer everyone's question the 'other' blond guy is from the British version of Queer as folk, QAF is originally from across seas America got permission to make an American version so there's actually two QAF in my opinion I like the American versions since Justin and Brian are hotter in the American version XD
@ninofilmo Alex is right. It's a cut scene in the "extras" in the DVD. They thought that a new, young blonde on Liberty ave like Justin once was, would bring the show full circle (in no way was he intended to be a "new Justin" in terms of Brian). Then they felt Brian and Michael dancing together like old times, and Ted and Emmett having a blast...focusing on the original four, that, in and of itself brought the series full circle. Sad as the ending was...they kept the integrity of the show.
Love" Proud" and "Queer as folk". As a woman I of course miss "The L-Word" even more. They were both great! smile Sometimes they put them on LOGO T.V. But mostly in the middle of the night. Not the best video quality here. But who cares. smile

@cat021594 Im from the UK, and found the US version of QAF from the original, in my opinion its far far better than the British one, I understand why they remake them for the US market, there are a lot of cultural differences.. for one thing in QAF Nathan is 15.. this is because the age of consent here is 16.. and there are a lot of other differences. Can I just say on the Being Human topic... the US version murdered what is a fantastic series, the UK version is far better in my opinion
@bs0lth I agree completely ^^ for one the american QAF has more than a few seasons and actually has a understandable and sad ending that I LOVE, and the being human in the UK version is the one I love the best cause in my opinion the American version has too many effects that ruin in I love the syfy channel but sometimes their movies are just so filled with effects it makes it look like a wanna be horror movie.
@cat021594 Can I just say... Aiden Turner and Russell Tovey on Being human made it.. I think that it was the way they played it and the interaction that made the show, the us one seemed wooden after watching the british one.. That said, Syfy does have quite a few good things on it, and I enjoy most of them. I did have a problem with a couple of them though but thats because they were made from my favorite books..

I read that the scene with the "Justin" look alike was at first to show that the "tv show" had come full circle but the shows producer felt that this was not needed as Bablyon being rebuilt and the focus on the remaining core characters final scene at the club did this. U might try looking on Wikipedia for Queer as Folk or similiar website and it may give the actors name

I dont think they should only make it soley for the fact then, no one would be able to make the statement that they want it to happen, it would have. @alex22152215 Lol it's actually the British version, 'QAF' originally came from across seas I forget the country but 'Being Human' is also from there and Hollywood is actually making an American Version to 'Being Human' just like how they made an American 'QAF' =P Quit interesting how we keep making remakes of other shows that other countries have O.o

@cat021594 Im from the UK, and found the US version of QAF from the original, in my opinion its far far better than the British one, I understand why they remake them for the US market, there are a lot of cultural differences.. for one thing in QAF Nathan is 15.. this is because the age of consent here is 16.. and there are a lot of other differences. Can I just say on the Being Human topic... the US version murdered what is a fantastic series, the UK version is far better in my opinion

@bs0lth I agree completely ^^ for one the american QAF has more than a few seasons and actually has a understandable and sad ending that I LOVE, and the being human in the UK version is the one I love the best cause in my opinion the American version has too many effects that ruin in I love the syfy channel but sometimes their movies are just so filled with effects it makes it look like a wanna be horror movie.

@cat021594 Can I just say... Aiden Turner and Russell Tovey on Being human made it.. I think that it was the way they played it and the interaction that made the show, the us one seemed wooden after watching the british one.. That said, Syfy does have quite a few good things on it, and I enjoy most of them. I did have a problem with a couple of them though but thats because they were made from my favorite books..

@queensorkings = not sure who the actor is. This scene with the Justin look alike was not used. I read that the scene with the "Justin" look alike was at first to show that the "tv show" had come full circle but the shows producer felt that this was not needed as Bablyon being rebuilt and the focus on the remaining core characters final scene at the club did this. U might try looking on Wikipedia for Queer as Folk or similiar website and it may give the actors name

i was watching this on sbs last thursday this bit made me feel proud to be gay . it also made me cry i mean ... some people say queer a folk just about gay sex ... i dont think so ... i love watching it ... IM PROUD TO BE GAY

i watched the show again in december i just watched the finale tonight & i still had the horrible feeling in my gut that was like "WHYYY COULDNT JUSTIN HAVE COME BACK THAT NIGHT & SUPRISED HIM & END WITH THEM DANCING TOGETHER" its soooo sad but this show is truely amazing & an inspiration to all gay life<333333333333333

I think they ending was perfect.
I feel like it left hope.
That even when we re-watch it 6 years later (The show ended in `05 it`s `10) We still can feel that hope. The show still helps people today and I think it`s wonderful. =] but yea, That ending would have been cool. <3

@Kruholec I agree the about the ending. I do not need the reunion movie everyone else seems to be advocating but can you imagine that ending on the BIG screen. That the way I see it in MY Mind everytime I see it.

I dont think they should only make it soley for the fact then, no one would be able to make the statement that they want it to happen, it would have. I think it would be nice though today if they did a spin off or something since our country is currently in the process of huge decisions about gay rights even moreso then when the seires aired. Sorry if that didnt make sense. I hope someone will understand what i ment.

Honestly I think both ideas are great. Yes it wouldn't be the. Same, but as long as it makes a comeback I'm happy. Something needs to happen, the show was too good to have ended only after five seasons... Right?!

yo si la vi completa y la he visto ya como 3 veces mas y analizando el final es un poco triste, pero apesar de eso el mismo final te deja abierta la posibilidad de imaginarte el final que tu hubises querido. no se si algun otro haya tenido esta sensacion
