this is also how i feel about zakharova, basically. it's hard to be definitive about anything, but i feel pretty confident in saying that NO ONE else is even coming close to her level when it comes to technique, placement, and sheer grace. when it comes to being girlish in giselle or fiery in don quixote, for example, she can pull off these characters convincingly, but there are other ballerinas that infuse a more complex character/emotion, and are therefore more interesting to watch.

She is beautiful and a great technician but she lacks the spirituality of some other ballerinas. IMO
