As a friend of Red's of more than thirty years, I would like to thank you for taking the trouble to post what is obviously a heart-felt tribute to this great newsman.

Red's memorial service will take place on Friday, June 27, at 2pm at the Cobbity Church, near Camden, where he lived.

Thank you so much Piers and I very much appreciate your comments as somebody who has read and seen much of your work. Red was a very talented journalist and I enjoyed his reports and clarity greatly. Regrettably I am in the United States so will be unable to attend his memorial service but I hope it goes well and I will not for get his work and his influence on me. Many thanks once again.
