  • I can't believe I played FSX like this!

  • I think dual core I think is going out the window for best gaming and quad core is being the way to go as it becomes supported. Now games are supported in quad core

  • well im getting fsx with dual core 2.66ghz, i will upgrade to this gpu, how will it run, better or worse than urs?

  • I would upgrade higher if you can. At least a 9800. The 8600 is pretty out dated now.

  • If you look at my videos now, fsx should run a little better than mine.

  • new videos*

  • Cool I got an XPS 420 now 3870 512mb 3gig ram Q6600 2.4

  • oh nice i see u are 16, i am 17 and i study aircraft maintenance i need still 2 years for my B1 license and maybe also B2 avionics and hopefully later pilot lol and i live in Belgium in europe lol

  • 17 on wednesday

  • oh cool ok lol

  • oh yeah what are you folowing now in school? and you wanna become a pilot later? lol

  • I am currently in High school. I am probably going for something in engineering. and yes I would like to be pilot probably not commericial though

  • hello i have a now a geforce 6200 26 mb i want to upgrade so i should try also a 8600? and my cpu is a pentium 4 3 Ghz and i have 1GB ram what can you recemend me pls? thx and nice video by the way! lol

  • If you have it in your budget, upgrade everything. You can get an 8600 but if you can try for an 8800 but you are probably going to need a power supply either way. I think.

  • ok thx! lol

  • very nice landing at Kai Tak, if you fly there a lot I would advise getting the Fly Tampa scenery there, it is amazing and not quite as bad on frames as people say. Great vid! I'm planning on getting an NVIDIA 9800

  • is the GTS better than the GT?

  • I believe so.

  • ok thanks cause im gettin my 8600 GTS Superclocked Couple days from now and i cant wait.

  • I have an 8600GT. The frame rates and level of detail are not acceptable, IMO. I'm getting an 8800GT this week--hopefully it will be better!

  • Ya, I bought this card but it was a good card for money I had to spend

  • :) lol

  • 80 quid? 80 pounds (united kingdom currency)

  • Oh, I live in the US

  • cos this comp cost me 80 quid lol

  • OK?????? Not sure what that is?

  • wow i can really use a 9 series?!?!?! bloody hell...well im upgradin my ram from 512 to 3 gb so tht my comp faster 4 net surfin and stuff.. btw since i oced my cpu already is it safe to take it up anuva 400mhz? cos to get 2.6 i gotta do tht

  • Hmm, Probably not... I am not sure. Why would you be surpriced that you can use a 9 series?

  • nice which g card do u reccomend?

  • Anything in the 8000s or 9000 work just fine or 7800 maybe also. Have at least 256vram perferably 512 or a Gig. FSX is not graphics but CPU. Dual or quad will do. Try to go 2.6 or so for ultra high smoothness

  • managed to buy my arse a comp off a friend with 8500GT in it for £50 and then i jus upgraded to 8600GT couple days ago so now my comp is a "gaming rig" lol

  • 8500Gt is pretty good. I suggest upgrading your cpu. Best thing to upgrade for FSX.

  • U really have to try .cfg tweaks

  • wtf? i can set same settings and have much higher FPS. im usin a 8600m gs in my laptop. does ur CPU really make the difference?? mine is T9300 @ 2.5ghz

  • Well, obvously... i got intel e6400 core 2 duo 2.13Ghz

  • and I had fraps running which you loose about 5 FPS

  • HOW DID you get the graphics so good Settings??? i have the same video card

  • It doesn't matter all on your video card. You really need a really good CPU and lots of ram!

  • O sorry I have a Amd Processor so what would be the best for that thx..

  • I don't know I like Intel the best. Intel or AMD it doesn't matter really as long as it is a good one. A really good one for mid price is the intel core 2 duo E8500 it is about 200$USD and currently the fastest dual core on market today! I think I am getting it soon

  • can some1 tell me what their graphics are set up to run it that smooth i have a 8600 to thx

  • Upgrade your CPU... That a pretty good card. FSX needs lots of CPU

  • thx how much do you think??

  • quad or core 2 duo you need something like 3.0Ghz. Like mine I currently have is 2.13ghz I can overclock to 3.2ghz but the thing is dell locks the motherboard so I can't overclock. soon, I am getting a new motherboard and a new processor(E8500 the fastest dual core on the planet currently)

  • so were looking at about 150?

  • Yep, Or you can just buy another computer. if you have a newer computer then upgrade. If you have a computer that is like 3 to 5 years old probably easy and you spend less on getting a newer computer.

  • graphics card investigations for FSX are useless. Buy a betetr CPU if you want increas the fun with FSX!

  • Yep, agreed! Graphics cards will improve recording performance a little bit but I think the biggest increase is FPS is upgrading a processor which I will be doing soon, I am going to upgrade my ram too, 2gigs to 3gigs

  • u probably have a high end card of an older series.

  • how did u cutsomise that

  • go into settings and then customize and btw I am ;paintball7575, well it is my bro as you probably know

  • o cool nvm

    were ur settingon high?

  • My settings I think are on all ultra high except weather which is medium or something like that and scenery which is medium high but I customized some of the settings like water

  • thanks mare

    btw love ya videos

  • ya, paintball is my bros name sorry, I didn't sign out

  • what are your settings at? med high, high, ultra high???

  • depends... usually all ultra high except scenery is medium low or sometimes high.

  • It is amazing. I just got a Dell XPS with NVDIA 8600. But I have not and will not try it till thursday when my GCSE's are over. AHH.

  • Cool! Which the XPS? I got the XPS 410

  • No the XPS M5330 or somthing like that. My parents wont even let me see it. AHHH. But will it lag when using fsx? Nice vid btw.

  • Hmmmm, I think just a little bit. Depends what you got? Nice computer though

  • i have the same card and my graphics are shit how do u get such good graphics????

  • You have turn up your settings

  • Do you even have FSX? Ya, Well if you were here you would see that I get like 35 FPS but once I record it goes down like crazy! The PS3 does not have 60 It is like 30. You know what. DOnt say anything until I see a smooth video from you!

  • you can also download service pack 1 and 2 from your fsx home page to improve your graphics. Makes some difference.

  • already have except I have accleration which has SP2

  • hmmmm i only have a ATI Readon X1650 DDR PRO 152mb 3gb RAM and i get 45fps? and all that put together probably cost less than that graphics card and u get less frames.

  • Well, I have 2 G ram plus this is fraps killing it too

  • I have

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 OC* to 4.6

    Windows Vista Premium 32bit

Dual 8600 GTS *1007MB of memory

    2Gb of RAM....

AND THE GRAPHICS LOOK LIKE SHIT!!

I got it all the way up, and the funny thing is you running only one and is not even a GTS

    WTF!! is GOING ON!!

    DAMN YOU MICROSOFT DAMN YOU!!!

  • I am going say you probably dont have them up. go in to "customize" and customize it with a high resolution. If you just click the things higher that does crap. You need to go into customize. put on all you want. like light bloom(fps killer somewhat)

  • its shit because the 8600 GTS is taking ram from your pc and using it as video memory, that how you got 1007 MB, I get 1008 MB because of my 8400 GS, i also have 2 gigs of ram, if u get an extra gig of ram i'm sure it will come back to normal.

  • fuck me do you water cool the core 2 duo 4.6 is well high

  • hey i have a question..

    i have a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Cpu

    2.33 GHZ

    .98 GB of Ram

and im gettin a 8600 gts

do you think this will run niceley and i can run it with ultra high graphics?

    thanks, nice video

  • UMMM, I would say yes. I dont think very high fps because of you Ram. If you had to upgrade get RAM!!!! But nice everything else. I think with that ram. probably not very good or well not as good as you expect. I would say a smooth 10. I dont have a computer really like that so I dont really have clue. I am going to say one thing: Good computer except upgrade ram

  • Not really. If you ever upgrade anythin go for a video card and ram

  • Pretty Good for a 1300$ computer huh?

  • wow! Come on. Fraps and and it is not all about the card. the processor and stuff matter too. I only have a dual core 2.13GHz I get a smooth 25 FPS and it is not this laggy before fraps. the graphics are all the way up too!

  • wow, i love your vid. I'm thinkin bout workin over the summer to get a 8600 GT, but right now im running a ATI Radeon 9000, have all settings on low, but its constant. So u think its worth it? whats the settings on that vid?

  • Well on this one i am not sure at all. But right now I have them all high except scenery and that is at medium high and i get like 20 FPS

  • I mean Ultra High and scenery medium high and thanks for the compliment. The 8600 Gt would be totally worth it. I would go for the 8800 but for how much the 8600 it is totally worth the 150 or so for it. The only thing about the 8800 you need more power

  • yea, and i need a new motherboard, so i need to invest in one of them also. =( PCI ot w/e right?

  • Depends on the card. If the card is PCI express then you need a PCI Motherboard

  • dude nice a bit laggy tho, i was thinking about getting the 8600GTs for my slim inspiron pc with an additional gig of ram.

  • That would be a great investment. it is laggy just becasue my computer is not the greatest. the 8600 is probably the best investmet without going to buy the 8800

  • I give this a 5 star * because its good timing with the music and every thing is cool keep it up.

  • LOL... Thanks!

  • What kind of FPS are you getting with the 8600? Does it run well with FSX? I have 2GB RAM so that would run nicely with it I guess.

  • I get about a smooth 20 FPS. Before it was about 10 but very laggy. Like when I switch views it would take time to switch

  • Cool, what video card was that on? I have an ATi Radeon X600 256MB *angry face*

Is it true that good video cards don't necessarily make a huge difference to FSX?

  • Read the title for the CARD. I am going to just let you know. When you get a better card FSX can run higher graphics without putting a lot of work on to it.

  • what 757 is that??? is it POSKY?

  • Captain Sim I havent used it much by I love it but it is a little of a FPS hogger

  • ooo you're into that payware stuff...nice

  • Hate to tell you this, but buying a new graphics card does not affect FSX in any major way, no matter how good it is!! It's all based on RAM and CPU. You'd have been better off loading your computer with memory and/or a new chip than spending so much on that graphics card. A LOT of people have found that out the hard way.

  • Well to tell you this... It didnt really help. My graphics look better when on utra high and when I record since I have a more powerful card I can record with better FPS. This video still doesnt have good FPS but compared to another video this is pretty good

  • great vid!

wat recording software are you using?

    thanks

    please reply
