  • I lovw this song! -__-

  • i love this song

  • I saw him in concert back in the early 80's, actually can't remember the exact year, but very small, intimate audience. I was right up in front and enjoyed the concert very much. I had never heard of Steve Wariner before my friend won tickets to go to the concert. He sang this song and I just fell in love with his music after that night.

  • i have chosen this as my fist song to dance with my son on his wedding day! it reminds me of him when he was 5 or 6...as I was tucking him into bed he asked if i would marry him when he grew up.....he weds sept.4,2011....I love you son..may God bless you and guide you and Caitlin..always! all my love, MoM!

  • @torresyolanda42 Your son is very lucky, congratz...

  • I want the lyrics to this song I love it <3

  • @rosenjamesroberts4ever i cried when i first heard this song.

  • my baby brother was 6 when he first heard this song and when it was over he look at my mom and said mommy will you marry me....it was so cute!!!!!

  • The sign of a great artist is not being able to pick one single favorite song they've done, because there are so many good ones. Steve Wariner is one such performer. When this one was released, my mom had just passed away. It helped us & the kids deal with it a little better, thinking she was watching over us, although we knew once you're in Heaven, there's no looking back.

  • IT WOULD BE BEST IF STEVE WERE TO BE SODOMIZED FOR THE VIDEO...

  • @FINGERSLICER Thanks for making a stupid comment. Every song needs at least one idiot to write something to prove the ignorant people with bad judgment, controlled by their id are still being added to the gene pool.

  • @StevieB1362 IT IS TRUELY AMAZING THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO TYPE WITH YOUR HEAR CRAMMED SO FAR INTO YOUR RECTUM. GOOD LUCK ON THE REMOVAL AS I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO COME UP WITH SUCH WITTY COMENTS AFTER BEING DEPRIVED OF OXYGEN.

  • @FINGERSLICER wat does sodomized mena...and u guys r both trippin....y do pple hve to get but hurt over comments made buy pple who u dnt know???well thats my view on it

  • OMG I LOVE IT !

  • it's amazing the difference years can make to the music, but barely change the voice..he sounds the same ever but the music has such a different sound and feel except for the violins

  • love this song forever xx

    babsie

    love allx

  • If you're ready taken, no one else should matter. You know, love before what if's, and for any guy to send this to a taken woman and try to charm her with it is just lame.

  • This song isn't about stealing someone away, it is about waiting on that one perfect person, or loving someone and not knowing how they feel. Check out Steve Wariner's other song "What if I said"

  • that gos for woman to .

  • but if he didnt know she was taken then its okay well it should be anyways

  • Such a beautiful, sweet, sweet song. :)

  • I believe this song was big about 98 or99. Reminds me of a woman who helped me help myself in small ways. She was "manna" from Heaven. God, Thank you for your SON JESUS.

  • this song was a hit in 78

  • this song reminds me alot of my childhood

  • hey my name is randi and my guy friend gene had dedicated this song to me cuz i made him wait to long... gene ill always love u n sorry i spoke too late.....

  • it reminds me of my past,,made me cry...gone are those-my younger days

  • I am 16, and I already miss my younger days. There was alot there that was special to me. I wish I had all that back.

  • i love this song. it is so good.

  • The first time I saw Steve in concert was when I was 14 in 1982. I met him between the two shows at the Branding Iron in San Bernardino. A DJ I talked to lot introduced us. During the second set he dedicated this song to me. Just him playing the guitar. His brother Terry joined in on drums towards the end. He totally won my heart over at that time.

  • this song is from 1986. Steve's debut album wasn't until 1982

  • True about his duet album. However, Steve was known as a "singles artist" in his early days, who would put out singles such as this without releasing an album. This was his first single release.

  • I stand corrected. Thanks!

  • @lcradioprod actually his debut album came out in 1978. it's called "down in tennessee

  • God Bless the broken heart!

  • do you mean "the broken hearted"

  • Love this song but the best version is Steve singing it on a radioshow"live from Gilley's "acoustic ,so no strings and drums.

Thanks for posting, but the one I used to have in mind became someone else's wife......

  • omg i havnt heard this song in years,,,,, love it
