In case anyone is interested, Nancy Wilson is playing a 1953 or 1954 CF-100 acoustic/electric guitar made by Gibson. Very rare, I got one, acoustic version. They made two, an acoustic and a electric version, extremely rare in those days!
This song was originally done by Wanda Jackson (the first lady of Rock and Roll)..and Elvis dated her for a while and recorded it later on. Wanda Jackson's version is HOT!
Nancy's so adorable. She keeps messing with her hair during rests and always does something silly in the early eighties like dancing with her guitar at the end.
Anybody know their set list when they, along with Teardrop Explodes & Joan Jett and the Blackhearts opened for Queen at Elland Road Football Stadium in Leeds on 5/29/1982?
@ledzep76 Which interview was that? I've never heard either Joan or Lita speak about Heart. I have seen many Joan Jett interviews where she mentions being inspired by Suzy Quattro and those interviews are available on youtube. Where'd you get your information?

I say a lot of crap about Ann Wilson, but she was hot and still had her voice then. Very good. I think, though, its cute how Nancy tries to disguise her poor sense of rhythm by trying to look tough. It's a shame Nancy never just said, Ann, you're the one with the talent and left the band to manage a shoe store in the greater Seattle area.

Hehe i agree! If it wasn't for Ann and Nancy paving the way for women to REALLY come into rock music as musicians (not just vocalists)....where would we be now?
Heart has been my motivation and inspiration since i was a kid! They are the reason I became a musician in the first place. Such great role models :)
@brywool I know it really sucks, but people don't pay as much attention to hard rock except ones that love it like us. I'm saying this cause anytime on American Idol when there is a good rock artist they vote them off really fast even though they kick ass compared to the ones in the end. I think a major part of the country must be part deaf.
ann and nancy kick the ass to beyonce , madonna, fergie, britney, jessica all the fuckin bitches these days. how did say bon jovi about jennifer lopez "i dont know the people loves JLO if she is not play a guitar , when she play the guitar ok . we wil speak about it. " it said bon jovi .
Ok I have to be honest here, that was the ONLY A&N performance that didn't quite do it for me. Ann seemed a little out of sorts. Perhaps she was nervous? (no, certainly not) I liked the guitar playing tho (especially from Nance) But yeah, kinda missed the mark. But yet, it was still awesome? I think I feel that way only cause I love them both so dearly.
And yeah, I love Nancy's shoes too! How cute is she in those?
I was wondering if I'd ever see this performance again. I remember even at the time I thought it was a little weird that they were promoting a new album by singing an Elvis medley.
If memory serves me, the interview afterward was awkward. Letterman demonstrated his amazing pop culture erudition by identifying the songs as Elvis tunes, and Ann responded that "we wrote those." Ever the condescending creep, Dave even asked them their ages.
I'd love to see the interview part as well. In '93, they were on The Late Show with Letterman as well and performed "Black on Black II." IIRC, when Dave introduced them, he said that he was married to the Wilson Sisters in the seventies. Ha! So does anybody have that clip to share? I'd love to see that again. :-)
Ann reminds me of Joan Jett here.

@derek47 I believe the Runaways (especially Lita Ford because she did mention this in an interview) were inspired by them.
