Its all for preferences.. i mean, come on... FOX actually walks forward and backwards with his mousebuttons, strafes with z and x and has space bound to attack.. ;)
I for one use WSAD with r=rockets, f=rail, e=shaft, q=shotgun, b=plasma and all the rest are default.
I prefer to have the weapons thats commonly used on low-hp enemies easier accessed then weapons for high-hp.. because you basically only use rail and rocketlauncher on high-gp, but sg and lg on low-hp players.
wasd moves, e=gaunt r=sg f=lg x=mg shift=gl scrolldown=rox scrollup=rail mouse2=plasma

i never really played tribes but maybe they're the same iono. only reason i use edsf is to have more room to bind weapons on the left side
