  • this ring in the city is interesting, some kinda time capsule? are they trying to make us think about star gates... cool though,

    interesting areas!

  • Cool stuff! I enjoyed the tour very much. Thanks for making the vid.

If it had been a stargate...I would go through it I think! :-)

  • Haha Tresspassing at the old job. I wish I could go back and film a bit of the Thyssenkrupp Budd plant. After about 1970 they only used the bottom 2 floors (out of 5) so going up to the 4th floor was like time travel. 5th floor is kinda small and they said at one point there was a homeless guy living up there and he had a pet owl. It might be occupied now though. Nice tour. Why are people camping in Grand Circus Park?

  • @StealthyBob Oh wow, I drive past the Budd plant every day and really want to get in there and take a look around myself, but there's several deterrents like 2 fences and they have security that patrols that place too. And I'm not sure about all the details, but those people at Grand Circus are involved in the Occupy Detroit movement which is just one of several all over the world in conjunction with the Occupy Wall Street movement going on in NYC.

  • @StealthyBob They're basically protesting the state of the economy against the concentration of wealth among the nation's 1% in comparison to the rest of us which represent the 99%. Not sure if anything will be accomplished with their movement other than worldwide awareness, which is good, but it's understandable where they're coming from.

  • @ConsciousCloud I thought about taking my camera one of the days I was there but I didn't. It would have been too dark on the upper floors anyway (the lighting was.. limited hehe). In fact, the stairwells didn't have any light AT ALL. And the hand rails were covered in grease for some reason haha. It's funny that one of the other commenters mentioned Silent Hill because my brother-in-law (he and my sister were there too) and I were saying that the upper floors of Budd were like Silent Hill.

  • @StealthyBob Man I'd love to get in there especially after hearing you say the upper floors look like Silent Hill. I am a huge fan of those games for sure. I guess you'd definitely need a flashlight if you got to look around in there as in most abandoned places. How'd you guys even get in there? Was it back when they'd recently closed cause it's pretty locked up now, although if it weren't for the fence you can clearly see a couple ways of getting in.

  • @ConsciousCloud I love those games too. We were temporarily working there a few years ago before they closed. I wonder if you could somehow get permission to go in. I have no idea what reason you'd give them for wanting in, though. And it's not like it's dangerous. It's nowhere near as dilapidated as most of the old buildings in Detroit. If I could get in there I might actually still remember my way around.

  • @StealthyBob That's interesting. Never even thought about trying to get permission. I suppose you could say you're doing a project for school on the plant and how you'd like to get pictures of the inside, but that may or may not work. Yeah, I agree it doesn't look as horrible as alot of the other abandoned places around Detroit and it's only been a few years since it was vacated too.

  • @ConsciousCloud Ah, so they're "occupying". I see.

  • the renaissance center area looks futuristic, kind of like from the movie A.I or something.

  • Love walking around with you, seeing new place and listening to your voice!! I'm sooo enjoying your vids and beautiful thoughts and voice!

I also love abondoned place and ruins. There's some unique atmosphere and a strange beauty in it!

I'm sure it would be great to just hang out with you. It's a pity that I live in Germany..

Wishing you all the best from my heart.

Always looking forward to your videos!! :)

  • i liked the old building part it looked like silent hill i'm glad you keep making videos, sorry for my english.

  • Niiiiice, thanks for the city tour, I love seeing new places :), especially the metro trip was really cool and the view over the city from your old work building. You are getting more and more adventureous, trespassing now huh? What yeah, whatever lol! Keep going :)

  • @cherryredcutie Haha, yeah, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to even do all that, but gradually I got to a comfortable point where I could film in public places around people. It was nice being back at my old work building and I was a bit surprised that everything was exactly the same up there. Technically I guess I'll be trespassing again in the near future, but only when I do exploration of abandoned places, lol.
