tune the small drum to G and the larger one to E. Good rudaments, don't be afraid of hitting them hard, you'll be surprised the other sounds you get out of them. I can tell your a drummer not a bongocero but good job LOL
You are awesome. I am learning to play in bongo, but i have only a simple teaching book which shows really the basics, not the tricks you can do. Would you teach poor beginner bongo players? :) If not, dont you know a great book or site or anything where i can learn bongo playing expertly?
Very nice. I'm in the same position as you, I'm used to playing a kit but I've been getting into various other kinds of percussion, like maracas and bongos.
I want to keep at percussion but I can't just move my whole set into my college dorm haha
Awesome video! Could you do the patterns half speed so people learning could break it down a little? Also if the camera was looking down on the bongos a little we could see where you are hitting. Thanks!
hi there! great video and technique! what make of drums are these? i'm lookig at buying some bongos and am looking around for the best make and price :)
Nice playin. Have a look into the 'martillo' rhythm and try tuning your smaller drum much higher. Be make sure you tune them back after playin. Keep on a drummin...
Thanks for your comments, indeed I am a drummer and that's my main instrument but sometimes it's quite good to do something that not so many others are doing, yes i'm aware of the technique and was taught this but on this occasion chose to do do something different.
